Well, where to start! Honestly, we don’t know where or how to! And won’t be able to write everything here! Because it’s so difficult to put into words how absolutely phenomenal Tom, Emma and the team at the Sail Loft made our wedding day! We truly had the best day of our lives! And have never been happier! And that’s down to the team and the venue itself (as well as getting married of course!)!

The pub is in an amazing location – right on the river (and the best side – the South ;-p ) - so the views are brilliant! We were so lucky that it was such a beautiful day – blue skies and sunshine - so the whole front of the pub was open, and our guests were able to mingle outside and enjoy canapés and drinks at the reception, after the meal and into the evening. It also meant that we were able to do a confetti throw, which was great fun! We even had our friends sing to the guests out on the river path! The fact that Tom came to us with this suggestion says it all – we hadn’t even thought about how no one would be inside for the performance - but the team were so aware of, alert to and across everything throughout the whole venue at all times, that they pre-empted, adapted to and managed any situation, to ensure that we had everything as we wanted. We didn’t have to think of anything ourselves!

The actual pub itself is the perfect layout! We had the whole pub to ourselves, which meant that the day flowed smoothly – our ceremony and reception were downstairs, the meal upstairs, then the party back downstairs. The band and dancefloor were one end and evening food the other. One of our priorities was the music and dancing, and this was indeed exactly what we’d hoped for! There’s a fantastic sound system and mics etc for speeches and an MC. Tom and Emma dj-ed our playlists superbly – no mean feat – it really felt like one big ol’ partay (how we repeatedly – sorry! – described what we’d like from the beginning!)! It all worked perfectly! And the décor of the pub is fabulous, so we didn’t need – or want - much extra decoration.

But what really made our wedding was the team. Tom was an absolute legend from the moment we met him, and Emma, an absolute superstar! I don’t think it’s ever been so easy, relaxed and fun to organise an event – not to mention that it was our wedding! They were there always, whether via email, phone, in meetings or on the day itself – we didn’t have to follow up or chase once – they were so on the ball, hardworking, communicative and efficient. There weren’t any problems the whole way through! They listened to what we hoped for on our day, really heard us, understood, didn’t judge, advised as necessary, and then made it happen – and seemed genuinely happy in doing so! It was honestly exactly how we’d envisaged – right down to the very last detail (sorry for going on so much about the Port/Limoncello toast haha!)! Their attention to detail was second to none – you could really tell they wanted everything to be of the highest standard – and it was!

The service from everyone on the team was remarkable – everyone was so attentive, helpful and friendly - my Dad couldn’t get over how outstanding it all was! And the food – the food!! It was absolutely superb! So delicious! And no one went short – something we really wanted to ensure. All our guests have said how excellent the food was – and how well the team did. Those scotch eggs in the canapés were immense! We also thoroughly enjoyed the food tasting which took place ahead of the day itself – everything exceeded our expectations and gave us even more encouragement, confidence and excitement for what was to come! We fully trusted the team and never had any worries about anything!

I could continue to write all day, but to sum it up (!), we were completely blown away by our experience at the Sail Loft! From little details, such as being asked if we wanted our celebratory glass of bubbles during or after our ceremony, or before, during or after our confetti throw (a detail we hadn’t even thought of; we didn’t even expect to be offered it like this, since it was a pub wedding!), to the execution of the whole day and the night, you could tell that Tom, Emma and everyone just wanted us to have the exact wedding we wanted. We still can’t get over it all (in the best kind of way!)! And that’s what’s key – you can have a casual, chilled, fun pub wedding, with every aspect to the highest level!

Tom and Emma, you are wonderful people – so lovely, so personable, so patient, so kind, so funny, so skilled, so incredible at your jobs! We’re unbelievably grateful to you and the team for everything you’ve done for us – all your time, effort, energy, enthusiasm… everything! We truly feel so lucky to have found this pub and you all. You gave us the most magical day of our lives and we really don’t know how to thank you. If we could, we’d do it all again in a heartbeat! So here’s to you – sláinte – thank you! x

We had our wedding reception at the Sail Loft in June 2026. It was amazing. We had the top floor and Captain's room for around 65 people for dinner and 80 for the evening.

The food was so good and all the guests complimented it. We got to do a tasting of the food and wine options beforehand which really helped us choose. We did get to give our guests a choice of two options for each course which was great.

Emma was our main contact and was always there on email to answer our questions. She was also onsite on the day to help us out.

We loved the view, a shame we had a cruise ship outside but the Sail Loft do have access to the cruise timetables if you want to avoid this. But it only blocked the view across the river and not to Greenwich.

Overall the service was fabulous. The staff were all super friendly and attentive.

The entire process from start to finish was perfect. Emma the events manager was really responsive and everything on the day was exactly as we wanted it. The venue itself is gorgeous and doesn't need much dressing up. The food was incredible and the drinks were great. We had the perfect day and would highly recommend having your wedding here!!

We booked the Sail Loft after looking at a few other options and decided this place was the perfect spot and it did not disappoint.
Our wedding was planned abit last minute (6 weeks) and the Team at the Sail Loft were on hand to help with anything they could do.
The upstairs area is just fantastic with brilliant views over London and the River Thames - especially as the sun was setting.
Emma and Tom were brilliant and the staff on the day were amazing! Everything went so smoothly.
The food menu is quite extensive which was hard for getting us to pick from so many amazing options (they also assisted with a few dietary requests too)
The upstairs area has its own built in Microphone and music system which allowed us to do speeches and music comfortably.

We recently (August 2025) had our wedding reception at the Sail Loft, following our ceremony at Islington Town Hall. From our first enquiry Emma was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble, we even had a few last minute changes on the week of the wedding and she was so accommodating. The venue was perfect, food and drinks (especially the cocktails and evening buffet!) were incredible and everyone commented on how stunning the views were. We were even able to have a sax player during our meal and a band in the evening. The staff on the day were wonderful and this enabled us to relax and enjoy the day fully. Also as Greenwich is so beautiful we were able to get some amazing wedding photos! I would really recommend the Sail Loft. Thanks everyone for making our day so special ❤️

Extremely happy with the choice of venue. Everything the meticulously organized, every request was executed to perfection and every detail was taken care of. The staff was friendly, price was reasonable and, most importantly, all our guests had a fantastic time. We wanted to celebrate our journey together and love for travel, with a travel-themed wedding, and Sail Loft was the perfect spot for this - view from first floor is like being on a deck at sunset. Very close to Greenwich, a good stop over for wedding photos.

We held our small wedding celebration at The Sail Loft in Greenwich, and it turned out exactly how we’d hoped. We booked the Captain’s Cabin, which was perfect for our group of about twenty people, including a few children. There was plenty of space, and the room felt bright and comfortable with lovely river views. One of the best things about that space is how much natural light it gets — it looks fantastic whether it’s sunny or raining, so you never lose that special riverside atmosphere.

The staff were fantastic throughout. From the first emails to the day itself, they were friendly, helpful, and flexible. Nothing felt complicated, and they made sure everything ran smoothly. It was clear they genuinely wanted us to have the day we’d planned.

Another thing we really appreciated was the music setup. The pub has a great selection of background music that perfectly fits the place, but they also let us play our own playlist for the celebration — which was brilliant. Having that flexibility made it feel much more personal and relaxed.

One thing that really stood out was how flexible they were with food. They have a separate wedding menu, but they also let us pick dishes from the regular pub menu, so we could build something that suited everyone. That level of choice is rare, and it made a big difference — the food was generous, well cooked, and everyone was happy.

The atmosphere was relaxed but special, the views were great, and the price was very fair for what we got: a private space, plenty of food, and a team who really cared.

In short, The Sail Loft gave us a warm, easy-going, and memorable day. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate our wedding.

We had an amazing afternoon and evening celebrating getting married at the Sail Loft. We hired out the top floor and Emma sorted everything out! They were super flexible with cake storage, food (including gluten free options), AV equipment and even let us pick up some leftover cake the next morning. Food was great, drinks are London prices but tasty and the venue is super convenient and pretty. It's a 10/10 from us!

From the planning to the actual day, Emma and her team were amazingly helpful and professional throughout. Communication was great and Emma was always available to meet or talk about any questions we had leading up to our big day. The venue itself is perfect for a summer wedding reception with breath taking views of the geeenwich pier. My family loved the little canapes and food supplied by Sail loft and their service on the day was faultless- staff were so friendly and on hand to help through to the night. The bar manager was incredibly helpful and made sure we were always catered for whether it be enough drinks or food. Honestly had such a lovely time here and forever grateful to Emma and her team for making our special day one to remember.

This venue is perfect for a small wedding reception which is exactly what we wanted. The setting is beautiful the food and wine selection is fantastic and all the guests commented on the high quality of both. The private space where we could control the music gave us control over our event enabling us to create the atmosphere we wanted. Communication was excellent and great value for money. Cannot recommend enough!
