Set against the backdrop of the River Wyre, The River Barn is an exclusive wedding venue located in the beautiful countryside of Little Singleton, Lancashire. The team invites you to host a memorable wedding experience immersed in five acres of protected woodland complete with formal walled gardens. Nestled deep within these idyllic grounds, a luxurious 16th-century manor awaits, offering grandeur and comfort for your most magical day.

Facilities and Capacity

The River Barn is a secret haven tucked away at the end of a stately tree-lined driveway. Here, you can embrace historical opulence and chic rustic interiors all in one intimate location with bountiful picture-perfect scenes. The barn venue is made for elegant bohemian affairs and country weddings, with its exposed oak beams and masses of cascading foliage. Outside, the lush aesthetic continues, embraced by the surrounding foresty and manicured lawns. Guests can enjoy alfresco canapés and drinks under the festoon lit oak pergola. The Tudor Manor House provides seven gorgeous bedrooms, including the stunning Honeymoon Suite located within a secluded wing. This private space boasts a kitchen, dining room and cosy living area where you can enjoy the first days of newlywedded bliss. The wooded area contains a further six ensuite Oak Tree Cabins, accessed via a festoon-lit path.

Services Offered

The River Barn offers exclusive hire of the venue and its grounds, complete with the welcome expertise of a wedding coordinator and a master of ceremonies. The dedicated event planning team promise to be your greatest asset, providing a wealth of wedding and supplier advice that will keep all anxieties at bay. You will also have a choice of licensed ceremony areas throughout the grounds alongside fully-reserved accommodation for up to 28 guests. On the morning of the wedding, you can enjoy a glass of bubbly and lavish beauty treatments in your own private beauty parlour. Additional wedding package features include:

Best venue ever

From start to finish everyone at River Barn went above and beyond. Going into wedding planning you hear horror stories of some venues but River Barn was nothing but a dream. There was so much freedom to make our day our own and they even encouraged our crazy ideas!
The staff were brilliant and constantly went above and beyond before and on the day. The clear up still amazes me how they literally gathered everything... we didnt need to worry about one single thing.
The bar prices were reasonable/standard and the breakfast in the morning was so yummy!
Would 1000% recommend!

The best day of our lives!!

We knew this was our venue as soon as we walked through the front door, it is STUNNING!

I want to give a special shout out to Reagan, who was our wedding coordinator. She is such a lovely person who instantly put my mind at ease.

The venue isn’t cheap, and you do need to bring in an external caterer, but it is worth every penny.

What sets this venue apart from its competition is the staff. They went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was perfect. They spoke to our vendors, followed all of my crazy instructions and made sure anything that went wrong was sorted before I even noticed.

We had the Manor House the night before the wedding which was a game changer. We made so many memories with our friends and family, that will stay with us forever.

If you’re looking for the perfect wedding venue, this is it!!

Absolute perfection!

We got married at The River Barn in late October this year and it was the most magical experience from start to finish. The venue is spacious, well-presented, and most importantly run with absolute precision and warmth. Every meeting on the run up to the wedding was calm, relaxed and filled with such excitement and care. Every idea or query we had on the run up (even silly ones) were answered with patience in a timely manner. Every detail was thought of and considered by the team to ensure that we had the perfect day.

When you get married you know that all of the people you interact with in the wedding space 'do' weddings every day, so it probably isn't all that exciting for them, but not for one moment did it feel like that, it felt like every person employed at The River Barn from the planners, to the bar staff and cleaning team were just as excited and joyful as well felt, and that made culminated into a heartfelt atmosphere from start to finish.

I cannot recommend this venue enough.

What A Venue !!

The staff couldn't have done more for us, they were very attentive from the very first meeting until the very end of the day. The guests all loved the venue and the day was fantastic. We couldn't recommend this place enough.

Best day ever

I’m so glad I chose this venue it ticked all our boxes. The staff were amazing esp in the run up when I was firing off lots emails they were always on hand to help. The venue it self is beautiful and all our guests thought so too. It was very accessible too which was a bonus. The team were so helpful and accommodating which made the process so much easier

Best wedding venue ever!

Wow what an incredible wedding day we had! Throughout the process of booking and planning our wedding the river barn team were on hand to support and guide us and offered multiple meetings to ensure they knew how we wanted our day to run. Every person we dealt with was calm, lovely and professional and the venue is absolutely stunning. The whole experience was seamless and everyone said how beautiful the venue was. The Manor House and cabins on site are immaculate and furnished beautifully. As there was no wedding the day after ours we were given late checkout which meant we could have a slow morning catching up with family the day after. The venue and grounds are beautifully kept and looked after. Wish we could go back and do it all again! 10/10 experience and venue 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The Best Venue Ever – With the Best Team!!!!

Choosing The River Barn for our wedding venue was simply one of the best decisions we ever made!!!

Not only was the setting absolutely beautiful, but what truly made it unforgettable was the incredible team behind it. From the very beginning of our planning, the staff were nothing short of amazing – supportive, kind, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they genuinely cared about making our day as special as possible.

On the wedding day itself, everything ran so smoothly thanks to their hard work and attention to detail. They thought of things we never would have, which allowed us to completely relax and soak in every moment. We are forever grateful!!! ❤️

Their warmth and professionalism made us feel so comfortable, and it honestly felt like we had friends looking after us rather than just a team doing their job.
We’ve had so many compliments from our guests about how wonderful the venue and staff were, and we couldn’t agree more!

We’ll be forever grateful for the care, effort, and love that went into making our day truly perfect and magical.

Unforgettable!

I don’t think this review is enough to highlight just how incredibly fabulous The River Barn were from start to finish! From the moment we met them at our first show around, to every single meeting, email and finally the big day, the entire team were incredible to work with. They took our vision and just made the whole process so smooth! They were amazing on the day, so accommodating with our dog, all my extra DIY bits, helping me with my first outfit change and even the bar staff were fabulous- my partner wanted to go behind the bar to take some pics and they helped make him the cocktail he wanted! If I could do it all again, I would choose The River Barn one million times over! The team really truly love their job and put the couple at ur centre of everything. Thank you so much to everyone there and I really hope to see you all again soon at another stunning wedding!

The Dream Venue 🤩

We had the absolute best experience with our wedding venue & The team at the stunning River Barn! From start to finish, the team were brilliant, a shout out to Meg who was really lovely and Eleanor in particular who was our coordinator on the day, she was so reassuring, attentive, organised, and incredibly friendly. All the team we encountered with, they made us feel so welcome and truly went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. We couldn’t have asked for better support on such an important day. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous – a stunning backdrop that wowed all our guests and made our day feel magical. We honestly couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Thank you for helping make our wedding unforgettable! 💕✨

Our perfect day!

We got married in May 2025 and it was the most perfect place! The grounds and venue is absolutely stunning and you can tell its well tended to.
It was really important for us to have enough on site accomodation as we live away from our family and this place had it in abundance! We managed to have immediate family, the bridal party and their partners as well as some extended family stay on site!
Not onl;y that but the staff were so lovely, kind and always quick to answer any questions we may have had. They made the run up feel really easy and were so professional giving us guidane and taking the lead with our vendors to organise the day/schedule for us. Our day was just amgical, those working that day were quick to keep us (mainly me) at ease. Throughout the day they kept a frienly and joyous atmosphere for us and out guests. We've had so many our guests get in touch to say how beautiful it was and we really couldnt have done it without them! So thank yoou so much to the Riverbanr! Our perfect venue!

Just book it!

We got married at the River Barn in March 2025 and we cannot fault them in anyway. From start to finish the team were amazing bending over backwards for us to have our dream day! Nothing was ever a “no” it was always a “let’s see how we can make that work” which is exactly what you want from a venue.

In particular Eleanor, Amber and Reganne took such good care of us and our guests and we are so thankful for them! The bar staff, the cleaners, the security were also amazing and although we didn’t catch their names they put just as much work in for our day as the others.

If you’re thinking of getting married here do it! It is so worth the cost and your day will be spectacular.

10/10 experience

We had an amazing experience with The River Barn. From start to finish it was such an enjoyable experience. The staff were friendly and organised - with meetings scheduled in the lead up to our wedding, helping us to stay on track with everything. The venue itself is so beautiful. With a modern yet rustic vibe, it is in great condition and all looked after so well (especially the grounds!). We personally love that it is spacious yet keeps all of your guests together. The bar is lovely and there are a range of drinks available - at reasonable prices too.

The manor house and garden pods were perfect to help accommodate guests, with plenty of parking available. It was such a luxury getting ready on site, and the manor house kitchen is unreal!

On the day, the staff were all amazing - they all worked so well together and knew exactly what was happening - the day ran so smoothly and they were all just wonderful.

As we look back on such fond memories, we are so pleased we chose The River Barn as our venue, and even our guests continue to compliment the venue and staff (3+ weeks on!)

We’re just so sad it’s all over but had the BEST day, and that is down to this beautiful venue and the amazing staff.

The Taylor’s 2024

We had our big day in October. The planning process was really easy and stress free. Although we never spoke to the same planner, every person knew exactly what was going on with our wedding. They made sure to write down every single detail and the day came together so beautifully. Everything from start to finish just went so smoothly and we honestly cannot thank them enough! We loved how it’s not an open venue so only our friends and family were there on our day. We are so happy we got married here, it’s honestly such a stunning venue and we wish we could do it all again!

Words can not do justice how amazing and beautiful this venue is

Words can not do justice how amazing and beautiful this venue is, it was honestly gorgeous and nothing was too much for the staff in the lead up to and on the day!
All our guests commented how stunning the venue was and it is a testament both to the venue but also to the staff!
A special thanks to both Eleanor and Mel for all their help in the run up to the wedding with our planning and organising for the wedding and making the day run so smoothly and putting us at ease throughout!!
The Manor House is absolutely stunning along with the pods which our guests loved and contained everything they would need the night of the wedding.
Once again thankyou so much for making it such an unforgettable experience and the best day of our lives, and again thankyou to Mel and Karen and all the bar staff on the day for helping it go so smoothly and stress free :)

Stunning venue!

We had our wedding at The River Barn last week, the venue is absolutely stunning! The perfect size, the grounds are lovely and all the floral features just make it feel extra special.

The team there are absolutely amazing, they've been spot on at every stage and couldn't do more to help us! The energy they must have to work all those long hours and still be enthusiastic and super helpful is crazy! thank you Melanie and Eleanor for all your help!

The manor house can sleep 14 people and is stunning, the whole day was amazing. Thank you guys! xxx
