We couldn't be happier to have chosen The Old Brewery as our wedding reception venue. For us it was a perfect balance - all the grandeur of being in the historic Old Royal Naval College (you get a license to take photos in the grounds and ours are just stunning), a beautiful riverside location, and the intimate, relaxed atmosphere of a wonderful London pub wedding. The outside area was perfect for drinks in the sun and golden hour pictures by the Thames, and the hall has brilliant high ceilings and decor that require very little extra decoration. The food really exceeded our expectations - many guests commented how great it was - and in the evening there was space for a proper band and a real party. Lastly, Tommy was hugely helpful and enthusiastic running the day - these guys really take weddings seriously and do the utmost to cater everything personally to you for the perfect day. Tommy was absolutely amazing from the start. We only had four months to plan, and he made it so easy. He totally got our vision for a chilled, laid-back, and intimate vibe—almost like we were hosting everyone in our own living room—and he made sure everything stayed within our budget.

The space was beautifully decorated and set up perfectly for our 85 guests. Even though it was a cocktail-style wedding and the weather was a bit chilly for late March, the team adapted seamlessly to keep everyone comfortable.

One of our biggest worries was making sure everyone was well-fed since we didn’t do a traditional sit-down dinner, but the food was incredible! Our guests are still talking about how delicious it was. From the stunning canapés to the bowls and platters, everything felt elevated and there was plenty to go around. The pop-up bar with our selected wines and beers was a huge hit, too.

The staff were so helpful and knowledgeable, especially when it came to managing guests with allergies and intolerances, which we really appreciated. We had the best time ever—it was honestly awesome. Thank you, Tommy and the whole team!

We had just the most perfect party at the Old Brewery - there was no point at which anything felt like it was too much trouble for Tommy or the team. The food was amazing - we had loads of compliments on the menu choices and the quality on the night was exceptional. The staff even made sure the bride & groom got a tray of canapés so we didn't pass out which was very much appreciated!! The organisation was super easy start to finish, and everything was set up exactly how we wanted even making great use of the outdoor space in November! For anyone that wants the grandeur of getting married in the Old Naval College without the huge price tag, this is truly the best way to do it.

Absolutely value for money.

Food (both the canapés, the gold menu lunch for the family and the dinner finger food plates for the guests) was delicious including delicious wine and beers. We choose to serve an aperitivo, a keg of beer and wine for the evening party - and the options were welcomed by everyone.

Staff was impeccable, helpful and the venue manager Tommy, was amazing from day 1, assisting and advicing us perfectly with professionalism and also a kind, warm heart.

The room inside was spacious, with beautiful decoration of barley wheat and pictures and perfectly fit the planned dancing party.

The location couldn't be better: inside Greenwich historical royal ground overlooking the Thames and royal historical buildings as backdrop of our joyful wedding party.

We were looking for a venue for our wedding reception which felt down to earth and fun but still beautiful and grand when we stumbled on The Old Brewery. We honestly couldn’t have chosen a better venue! From our very first call, Tommy completely understood us and our vision and exactly how we wanted the evening to feel. His support and communication throughout the process was exceptional (which isn’t always the case with wedding vendors!) and he instantly put us at ease. We weren’t very well versed with planning big events like this so we really appreciated the checklists he would send which helped us to get organised!
We had several meetings at the pub to go over food, drinks, and décor, and each time Tommy made us feel like everything was possible. No request was ever too big or too small. He even liaised directly with our suppliers where necessary, which was such a huge help.
When we arrived on the day, the venue was beautifully decorated exactly as we had imagined. The food and drinks were fantastic, with so many of our guests commenting on how much they enjoyed them. The entire evening ran seamlessly, all thanks to Tommy and the amazing team at The Old Brewery, who made sure everything was perfect.
What makes it even more special is knowing we can return any time for a meal or a drink and relive the memories of the best day of our lives! Thank you The Old Brewery for giving us such a magical experience.
