The Knowle Country House Limited is a Victorian mansion wedding venue located in the historic village of Higham, Kent. Approached along a manicured driveway and surrounded by 14 acres of private gardens, rose walks, and Italianate lawns, it offers a peaceful, elegant setting under an hour from Central London. Family‑run since 1980, the house blends warmth, character, and a relaxed atmosphere that feels a world away from the city.

Facilities and Capacity

The Knowle offers exclusive use of the entire house and grounds for your celebration. Guests flow naturally between the elegant Main Dining Room, the Garden Room, the light‑filled Victorian‑style Conservatory, the Lower Bar, and the covered patio. Outdoor ceremonies take place beneath the romantic gazebo, with seamless indoor alternatives available.

The venue can host up to 100 day guests, with space for 50 additional evening guests. Children have ample room to play, and well‑behaved dogs are warmly welcomed. A large private car park is discreetly located within the grounds, and Higham station is just a 10‑minute walk away.

Services Offered

Food is central to the experience at The Knowle. Menus are tailor‑made and freshly cooked to order, with chefs who happily accommodate dietary requirements. The Traditional Wedding Package includes a three‑course meal with a sweet trolley, wine, sparkling wine, and a hot and cold evening buffet.
