We got married on the 6th January 2024 at the Mayfair Library and hired a Routemaster to take us, and 76 guests, to the Elgin for the reception. It was exactly what we were hoping for and more! The staff were incredibly helpful since our first enquiry, and we planned the entire wedding in less than 3 months!

The pub itself has a cool, laid back ambiance to it, with great interior so doesn't need too much additional decoration. The additional probs we did bring along were all set up beautifully and brought our vision to life.

The food was outstanding and they managed to cater for a number of different dietary requirements. All of our guests commented on how impressed they were with the food - and will be going back!

The team were extremely attentive and helpful from day one. On the day they helped keep track of timings to make sure we didn't overrun before evening guests arrived. They also took care of the take-town and prepared everything to be collected the following day.

Highly recommend if your after a fun, relaxed reception with great food and perfect space to have a good time!

We had our wedding reception at The Elgin and it was perfect! The staff were amazing — they followed all my instructions beautifully and the decorations looked just how I’d imagined. We were looking for somewhere to have our wedding celebration and we knew we loved Elgin as soon as we saw it! We could picture our celebration immediately. Cara was so helpful the whole process - we were very impressed with how easy she made it all feel. The best thing was we hardly needed any decorations - it's beautiful already! We just added a few personal touches :) The venue team were so accommodating with our band, florist & cake delivery, we didn't have to worry about a thing on the day! The food was AMAZING and the Margaritas were exceptional! Thank you for everything. We want to do it all over again!

Love the venue, it’s decorated in such a stylish way it made our wedding reception look amazing. Dealing with Cara and Caroline made the whole process really easy to organise and they were very helpful with how much to order. We had a great night, and it helped we could have our dog there with us. A lot of guest commented on how fantastic the food was and I definitely agree.

Where do we start! From the moment we went to view the Elgin we got such a good feeling from the venue and the staff. It’s such a lovely venue, beautiful space you can make your own. Staff are so lovely.
The staff in the run up to the day are so thorough, leave you feeling calm, have everything under control. Nothing seems too much. Happy to answer the thousands of questions I had!
On the day they were amazing. Drinks flowed all day. The staff make it, so friendly, make you feel like your day is so special, even though they are doing weddings all the time. Everything ran so smoothly.
Little things like making sure I knew where all my stuff was, somewhere to put my bouquet, making sure mine and the grooms glasses were topped up, just amazing.
The food is delicious, cannot fault a bit of it.
If you are thinking about having your wedding with the Elgin I would totally recommend it! We had the best day.
You can really make the space your own, with decorations etc and they just make it happen. I was amazed when I saw the room! It was beautiful.

We had the best day at the Elgin and were impressed we were at how smoothly everything went. The food was delicious (I'm obsessed with that cannelini bean dip!) and the Eton mess was sensational.

Everyone we have liaised with either via email or on the day itself was lovely and so great. Special shout out to Cara and Tom for everything they did in the run up and on the night.

I know our booking had the added challenge of two changeovers/room resets given the number of guests (57 plus us) but I thought both went so seamlessly and no one seemed to mind going downstairs.

Everything was brilliant! The planning and organisation was excellent and everything went very smoothly on the day. Staff were helpful, flexible and friendly. They made a real difference to our day! We recently held our wedding reception at The Elgin, and we honestly can’t imagine a better venue. From the moment we booked the private floor, the team was incredibly accommodating, and the entire experience exceeded every expectation.

The food was truly outstanding! Our guests are still raving about it weeks later! Both the sit-down meal and the evening sharing platters were the best wedding food we’ve ever had, with the mushroom burgers stealing the show. So many people told us it was the best they’ve ever eaten at a wedding.

The service was exceptional from start to finish. Every member of staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely went above and beyond to make the day special. A special mention to the team for helping us secure a refund for a damaged cake before we’d even arrived – it was such a thoughtful gesture that really set the tone for the day.

We were also incredibly grateful for the flexibility around logistics. Being able to drop off items the day before and collect things the following day made everything so much easier and stress-free. It meant we could simply enjoy the evening, and we absolutely did.

The venue itself looked absolutely stunning, and every little detail we’d requested was executed with care and style. Everything came together so smoothly, and we felt genuinely looked after every step of the way.

A huge thank you to Cara, Denisa, and Tom in particular - they each played such a key role in making the night run smoothly and in making us and our guests feel so welcome.

Regarding the venue itself, the food was great , the service was great, and the vibes were perfect for us! The team on the ground at the Elgin are super friendly, welcoming and accommodating and helped the day run super smoothly 👌🏻 we can highly recommend!

After meeting some of the staff over a year ago as we popped in for Sunday lunch, we immediately commented on how lovely they were. We have 2 dogs and they were made to feel as welcome as anyone else there. The service was laid back, but organised and polite and after seeing how gorgeously unique and full of character the venue is we decided to book our wedding there!

What a great decision that was. The food, service, responsiveness planning and advice was brilliant. The whole process was easy and our day was incredibly fun, loud, dancey and heartfelt and The Elgin and its team played no small part in that.

After getting engaged we quickly became frustrated when looking at venues across the country due to the high costs.

We found the Elgin when living locally and saw it was often closed for weddings, so we enquired and we are so thankful we did!

What should a wedding be about? Family, Friends, great good & a great party. The space and team at the Elgin delivered well beyond our expectations, it was phenomenal.

Our day consisted of a ceremony at old Marylebone town hall before hiring buses to ship guests to the Elgin.

We had 120 guests with buffet style food (no sit down meal). We hired the whole pub but were worried that 120 people would be hard to accommodate on one floor for speeches and would feel too cramped. The team were brilliant at putting us at ease and speaking through our layout options given their experience in hosting such large events.

This lead to us having the party downstairs with relaxed seating upstairs, which worked perfectly.

The food 10/10, we have so many lovely photos of guests tucking into the amazing food. Since the wedding we’ve also had so many comments on how good this was.

Additionally we used the DJ and florist recommendations, the DJ had the party going until close at 2am and the florists did an excellent job at making an already pretty pub look beautiful.

Thank you so much to the Elgin. In the lead up to the wedding, they were so helpful and responsive and answered all of our questions. The online planner is also a really useful tool. We also had a call to go through the details of the day which made me feel really comfortable.

On the day, everything went absolutely perfectly. The team really went above and beyond to make the day special. The decorations were amazing, the staff were lovely and everyone commented on how good the food was. After the meal, we had a brilliant time on the dance floor which the team set up for us and the evening food went down a treat. Thank you so much to the Elgin for a brilliant time. Our guests all said how much they loved the venue too, and we wouldn’t hesitate to reccomend you in the future!
