We got married on the 6th January 2024 at the Mayfair Library and hired a Routemaster to take us, and 76 guests, to the Elgin for the reception. It was exactly what we were hoping for and more! The staff were incredibly helpful since our first enquiry, and we planned the entire wedding in less than 3 months!
The pub itself has a cool, laid back ambiance to it, with great interior so doesn't need too much additional decoration. The additional probs we did bring along were all set up beautifully and brought our vision to life.
The food was outstanding and they managed to cater for a number of different dietary requirements. All of our guests commented on how impressed they were with the food - and will be going back!
The team were extremely attentive and helpful from day one. On the day they helped keep track of timings to make sure we didn't overrun before evening guests arrived. They also took care of the take-town and prepared everything to be collected the following day.
Highly recommend if your after a fun, relaxed reception with great food and perfect space to have a good time! -

After meeting some of the staff over a year ago as we popped in for Sunday lunch, we immediately commented on how lovely they were. We have 2 dogs and they were made to feel as welcome as anyone else there. The service was laid back, but organised and polite and after seeing how gorgeously unique and full of character the venue is we decided to book our wedding there!
What a great decision that was. The food, service, responsiveness planning and advice was brilliant. The whole process was easy and our day was incredibly fun, loud, dancey and heartfelt and The Elgin and its team played no small part in that.
See you for future coffees, wine and roast dinners. It’s our new favourite xx -

We had our wedding reception at The Elgin and we genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we first visited the venue, the team made us feel welcome, supported, and completely at ease. The planning process was smooth, communication was clear and helpful throughout, and every single detail was handled with care.
The venue itself is stunning — full of natural light and character, creating a warm and elegant atmosphere that all our guests loved. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was outstanding — attentive, friendly, and so well coordinated that not a single guest felt overlooked.
So many of our friends and family commented on how much they enjoyed the day and how impressed they were with the space, the food, and the overall vibe. It really felt like the team went above and beyond to make the day special for not just us, but everyone there.
We’re so grateful to Caroline, Tom and the entire team at The Elgin for making our big day one to remember — truly, it was perfect from start to finish. We’d recommend The Elgin to any couple looking for a venue full of charm, warmth, and great energy. -

Amazing London wedding venue
After getting engaged we quickly became frustrated when looking at venues across the country due to the high costs.
We found the Elgin when living locally and saw it was often closed for weddings, so we enquired and we are so thankful we did!
What should a wedding be about? Family, Friends, great good & a great party. The space and team at the Elgin delivered well beyond our expectations, it was phenomenal.
Our day consisted of a ceremony at old Marylebone town hall before hiring buses to ship guests to the Elgin.
We had 120 guests with buffet style food (no sit down meal). We hired the whole pub but were worried that 120 people would be hard to accommodate on one floor for speeches and would feel too cramped. The team were brilliant at putting us at ease and speaking through our layout options given their experience in hosting such large events.
This lead to us having the party downstairs with relaxed seating upstairs, which worked perfectly.
The food 10/10, we have so many lovely photos of guests tucking into the amazing food. Since the wedding we’ve also had so many comments on how good this was.
Additionally we used the DJ and florist recommendations, the DJ had the party going until close at 2am and the florists did an excellent job at making an already pretty pub look beautiful.
We can’t thank the staff enough, from the planning calls through to delivering the greatest day we could imagine, thank you all! Special shout outs to Cara, Denisa & Tom! -

Perfect Christmas wedding
Firstly, thank you to all the staff from beginning of booking through to the day itself, you made the whole experience stress free and we’re all so friendly and professional! Thank you so much. The venue was just perfect for our wedding with the beautiful candle light that made it all so special during the winter light. Highly recommend The Elgin, for a perfect London Wedding. An amazing day!
Thank you so much to the Elgin. In the lead up to the wedding, they were so helpful and responsive and answered all of our questions. The online planner is also a really useful tool. We also had a call to go through the details of the day which made me feel really comfortable.
On the day, everything went absolutely perfectly. The team really went above and beyond to make the day special. The decorations were amazing, the staff were lovely and everyone commented on how good the food was. After the meal, we had a brilliant time on the dance floor which the team set up for us and the evening food went down a treat. Thank you so much to the Elgin for a brilliant time. Our guests all said how much they loved the venue too, and we wouldn’t hesitate to reccomend you in the future!
Also, the cocktail tanks were loved by the guests!

Great food, drinks and people!
From our initial enquiry to the moment we left on our wedding day, the service was outstanding. Cara guided us seamlessly through the planning process, and Sonny, along with the rest of the staff, ensured everything ran smoothly on the 15th. Our guests are still raving about the food and the spiced rum punch. I didn’t manage to catch everyone’s names on the evening, but a huge thank you to all of you—you were an essential part of making it the best day! -

The team at the Elgin were fantastic from start to finish for our wedding. We hired the entire venue and chose a late finish.
Rob and Cara were brilliant at answering all my many varied questions and chasing me up when I needed it! We found the handover phone call with Cara to be particularly helpful as she has great advice on how to get the most from the time and make it a truly memorable experience for our guests as well as ourselves.
On the day itself, the place looked brilliant and there wasn't a thing out of place. I had several guests approach me just to tell me that the vibe and ambiance was wonderful and the food was the best they had ever eaten at a wedding (as we knew it would be!). A few of our local friends have said they will be back to enjoy a pint and a meal another time.
All of the staff were great too - everyone said how friendly they were and they all did a fab job at keeping the place clean and tidy. Tom and Sonny were super helpful throughout the whole process which took a lot of stress out of it. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Elgin. -

AMAZING venue and incredible service - book the Elgin now!
We held our wedding reception here in October and had the most amazing time. From the initial enquiry to after the event, I cannot explain just how incredible the entire Elgin/ULG team were in making our wedding even more special than we ever thought it could be.
When enquiring/planning the ULG team of Caroline, Robert and Cara were brilliant in answering all my many questions, so responsive and accommodating for whatever requests I made. We visited the pub a few times before the day and every time someone on site was there to help with questions. The online planner for inputting all the information is so easy and a great way to keep track of what you’re ordering/spending.
The onsite team led by Sonny are absolutely incredible. One of things which sold the Elgin to us was the fact we could drop the decorations in advance, the team handled all the set up (brilliantly as well!) and then stored them for us for a week after until we could collect. This is something not many venues offer (usually only the days either side of the wedding) and made such a huge difference to us and took such a worry off my mind in the days leading up to the wedding. But not only that the team took such care in setting everything up in line with my plans making sure things like place settings and memory displays for lost relatives were perfect.
On the day the team were even more fantastic, ensuring guests were well taken care of with plenty of food and drink and even dealing with last minute requests such as change in dietary requirements.
The venue itself is brilliant, set across two floors and barely needs any decorations. The food is fantastic – we had canapes, two course sharing meal and then evening food. All of our guests raved about how good everything was, and portions are very generous!
I would completely recommend the Elgin for a celebration venue!

The best day ever - made possible by The Elgin!
We had an amazing wedding at The Elgin in October. From our first email with Cara it was clear that everything would be handled so expertly, with the planner making everything very clear. Communication was excellent and turning up on the day to have everything done, with such brilliant and thoughtful decoration, was wonderful. The team helped the day go by go smoothly - and had the patience of saints during the flurry of espresso martini orders! Couldn’t have asked for anything to be better. The best day! -
