We got married on the 6th January 2024 at the Mayfair Library and hired a Routemaster to take us, and 76 guests, to the Elgin for the reception. It was exactly what we were hoping for and more! The staff were incredibly helpful since our first enquiry, and we planned the entire wedding in less than 3 months!
The pub itself has a cool, laid back ambiance to it, with great interior so doesn't need too much additional decoration. The additional probs we did bring along were all set up beautifully and brought our vision to life.
The food was outstanding and they managed to cater for a number of different dietary requirements. All of our guests commented on how impressed they were with the food - and will be going back!
The team were extremely attentive and helpful from day one. On the day they helped keep track of timings to make sure we didn't overrun before evening guests arrived. They also took care of the take-town and prepared everything to be collected the following day.
Highly recommend if your after a fun, relaxed reception with great food and perfect space to have a good time! -

We had our wedding reception at The Elgin and it was perfect! The staff were amazing — they followed all my instructions beautifully and the decorations looked just how I’d imagined. The food was absolutely delicious and everyone had a fantastic time. Thank you to the whole team for making our day so special! -

We were looking for somewhere to have our wedding celebration and we knew we loved Elgin as soon as we saw it! We could picture our celebration immediately. Cara was so helpful the whole process - we were very impressed with how easy she made it all feel. The best thing was we hardly needed any decorations - it's beautiful already! We just added a few personal touches :) The venue team were so accommodating with our band, florist & cake delivery, we didn't have to worry about a thing on the day! The food was AMAZING and the Margaritas were exceptional! Thank you for everything. We want to do it all over again! -

Stylish and Classy
Love the venue, it’s decorated in such a stylish way it made our wedding reception look amazing. Dealing with Cara and Caroline made the whole process really easy to organise and they were very helpful with how much to order. We had a great night, and it helped we could have our dog there with us. A lot of guest commented on how fantastic the food was and I definitely agree.
Really classy place, love it -

Cannot recommend enough!
Where do we start! From the moment we went to view the Elgin we got such a good feeling from the venue and the staff. It’s such a lovely venue, beautiful space you can make your own. Staff are so lovely.
The staff in the run up to the day are so thorough, leave you feeling calm, have everything under control. Nothing seems too much. Happy to answer the thousands of questions I had!
On the day they were amazing. Drinks flowed all day. The staff make it, so friendly, make you feel like your day is so special, even though they are doing weddings all the time. Everything ran so smoothly.
Little things like making sure I knew where all my stuff was, somewhere to put my bouquet, making sure mine and the grooms glasses were topped up, just amazing.
The food is delicious, cannot fault a bit of it.
If you are thinking about having your wedding with the Elgin I would totally recommend it! We had the best day.
You can really make the space your own, with decorations etc and they just make it happen. I was amazed when I saw the room! It was beautiful.
We has Laura play the sax for the evening and it really worked upstairs

We had the best day at the Elgin and were impressed we were at how smoothly everything went. The food was delicious (I'm obsessed with that cannelini bean dip!) and the Eton mess was sensational.
Everyone we have liaised with either via email or on the day itself was lovely and so great. Special shout out to Cara and Tom for everything they did in the run up and on the night.
I know our booking had the added challenge of two changeovers/room resets given the number of guests (57 plus us) but I thought both went so seamlessly and no one seemed to mind going downstairs.
Would highly recommend as a reception venue! -

We recently held our wedding reception at The Elgin, and we honestly can’t imagine a better venue. From the moment we booked the private floor, the team was incredibly accommodating, and the entire experience exceeded every expectation.
The food was truly outstanding! Our guests are still raving about it weeks later! Both the sit-down meal and the evening sharing platters were the best wedding food we’ve ever had, with the mushroom burgers stealing the show. So many people told us it was the best they’ve ever eaten at a wedding.
The service was exceptional from start to finish. Every member of staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely went above and beyond to make the day special. A special mention to the team for helping us secure a refund for a damaged cake before we’d even arrived – it was such a thoughtful gesture that really set the tone for the day.
We were also incredibly grateful for the flexibility around logistics. Being able to drop off items the day before and collect things the following day made everything so much easier and stress-free. It meant we could simply enjoy the evening, and we absolutely did.
The venue itself looked absolutely stunning, and every little detail we’d requested was executed with care and style. Everything came together so smoothly, and we felt genuinely looked after every step of the way.
A huge thank you to Cara, Denisa, and Tom in particular - they each played such a key role in making the night run smoothly and in making us and our guests feel so welcome.
We truly can’t recommend The Elgin highly enough, and we’ll definitely be back again soon (with as many friends as we can bring!). Thank you for helping to create such happy memories – we’re so grateful.
