St Luke's Bombed Out Church is a historic wedding venue nestled in the heart of Liverpool, Merseyside. This Grade II-listed building has been preserved to maintain its stunning architecture, making it a unique setting for celebrating your love. Due to its rich history, the church has become a managed ruin home to community projects, events, weddings, & more.
All proceeds go towards supporting our ongoing work at the church, keeping it open to the public & celebrating local community & culture throughout the year.
Services Offered
We offer exclusive access to the inside of the church between 12pm & 2pm for wedding ceremonies.
Packages for wedding ceremonies with up to 80 guests includes the following:
- The support of an on-site coordinator & security staff.
- The option of booking a clear roof marquee to cover your ceremony within the Chancel.
- Rustic table for signing & chairs.
- Staffed PA system for music & registrar/celebrant.
- The option to add on a drinks package.
- The option to increase guest numbers over 80

The most unique, personalised, special ceremony we could have asked for
We were meant to get married in Vietnam in 2020, so when the world had other plans we knew if we were getting married closer to home we wanted it to be just as special. Getting married in the Bombed Out Church was absolutely perfect for us. We had planned on my brother ‘marrying’ us in Vietnam, so we continued with that plan here in the UK, and the team were more than happy with that. The team at the Bombed Out Church were fabulous from start to finish. They asked questions we wouldn’t have thought to answer, offered a range of services with no pressure whatsoever and were always prompt and professional with their responses. We couldn’t have asked for better people to help arrange our special day, and would do it again in a heartbeat.

A beautiful venue
I cannot recommend the bombed out church enough! It is such a beautiful setting for a wedding and the team were so helpful! We did not have to do a thing, the day was so well coordinated by Louise and her team, they kept us informed at every moment and took all the anxiety away! All our guests said what a beautiful ceremony it was and that the venue made it perfect

Magical Venue
I was recently the celebrant for a fantastic wedding ceremony at St Luke's Bombed Out Church and I loved every second of it, even thought it bucketed down! The service and care from the team led by Louise on the day was impeccably professional and warm. The surroundings speak for themselves, but were enhanced beautifully by the couple's florist (Fiora Dorato Flowers). Such an enchanting setting that I'd highly recommend to anyone who wants to get married in a place with character, history and community in the centre of Liverpool.

Exceptional Wedding Service
The Bombed Out Church was a great place to get married. The venue is outstanding, unique and really welcoming. The staff were amazing and were very organised on the day and we felt that we could leave the arrangements of our ceremony in their capable hands. The staff were friendly and truly exceptional. The wedding ceremony was magical from start to finish and Louise, our wedding co-ordinator did a fantastic job. She was so relaxed and always smiled. She brightened up our day. They were able to play the music we wanted and were so organised when our guests arrived. We were even surprised that we had a security guy on the door, which actually made us feel like we were celebrities. We truly loved our wedding and they made it that extra bit special. Everything was perfect.
