St John’s at Barlaston Hall is a beautifully restored, deconsecrated church set within the beautiful grounds of Barlaston Hall.

Nestled in the Staffordshire countryside on the edge of the historic Wedgwood Estate, St John’s perfectly combines the character and history of a traditional church building with the freedom to host your non-religious ceremony or wedding celebration.

Originally the Church of St John the Baptist, its oldest feature is the tower, which dates back to the 12th century, with the remainder of the church rebuilt in 1888.

After being deconsecrated in the 1980s, the church sadly fell into disrepair. It was later completely renovated and is now owned by Staffordshire businessman Mo Chaudry and his wife.

Today, St John’s at Barlaston Hall combines centuries of history with a beautifully restored interior, creating a memorable backdrop for one of the most important days of your life.

From small, intimate celebrations, to wedding parties of up to 130 seated guests we can’t wait to help you create the wedding of your dreams.

Our Heritage Package starts at £16,120 (based on 60 guests in the day and 100 at night)

Twilight and bespoke packages can be created upon request, so if you want a brass band to march you down the aisle, Ibiza anthems for your first dance, an afternoon tea instead of a traditional wedding breakfast, or a BBQ or fish and tea supper to finish the night we can make that happen for you. We also have a full range of add-ons for that extra special touch.
