The most perfect venue
Shotton Grange is absolutely stunning inside and out, and we were so lucky to book them for our wedding day.
From the very start of the process, the whole team were so lovely and kind and they kept us updated throughout. Every visit was great and the food tasting left us confident that we'd picked the right place.
The venue is so beautiful you barely need any decs at all! All we needed was table decorations and a few flowers and it was perfect. We kept it simple and it's all that was needed, the beauty of the space speaks for itself.
Now to talk about the people. Emma looked after us for the majority of our booking and she was soooo lovely! She even snuck over to see us on the day which we really appreciated. She kept us reassured and calm during a very stressful process! I had so many questions, and had barely any idea about the process, so I was emailing all the time and the whole team were always quick and helpful to respond.
On our wedding day we were looked after by the wonderful Mir, who was so fabulous and efficient, making sure everything ran smoothly and everyone had a good time! The whole day was safe in her hands and it could never have gone as well as it did without her care! The evening staff also saved us some pizza and took it up to the room for us, which was a godsend at the end of a night of nonstop dancing!
I couldn't recommend Shotton Grange enough, the beautiful building, gorgeous grounds, delicious food and fantastic staff. You helped make our day perfect, we can't thank you enough 💕 -

We had our wedding here on 21st February 2025. It was the most perfect day. I'll start by saying how good the communication was from the start with Emma, from our meetings to any emails she was so quick to reply and really knows her stuff. When it came to the day before when we went to set up Alison was appointed our master of ceremonies. She came in to chat while we were setting up and really put my mind at ease. The heating had stopped working on the ground and first floor the night before and we were given a fan heater and offered a room on the top floor and also given access to the bridal suite to get our dresses hung up and ready for the morning of the wedding. The next morning Alison arrived and was amazing throughout, even lining up shots for us before we walked down the aisle and making sure we had a drink while getting our photos taken. The day was really well organised and went perfectly to plan. The good was amazing and the feedback from our guests was that the food was the best they've had at a wedding. Thank you so much to the team for making our day perfect and for being so accommodating. -

We had the most amazing day at Shotton grange. From the very first viewing we knew this was our venue and we’ve felt welcome each and every visit. Emma has been an absolute star, Nothing was a chore or too much of an ask. The whole experience was perfect. -

The most perfect day!
Staff were just out of this world! From planning to the actual day we could not fault them at all! The venue speaks for itself with how beautiful it is! We had around 50 guests for daytime and 70 for evening and I can say the venue size seemed to be perfect for this!
The food was amazing!! Clean plates all around and couldn’t get enough of it!
I miss my wedding day already and would do it all over again with the exact same venue!

Shotton Grange met all of our expectations and more! From the minute we booked I felt at ease with the planning process as Emma was so on hand with everything. Nothing was ever to much trouble and she was always there to answer any questions no matter how silly they were! On the day itself it was a lovely touch that Emma was there to say hello as I made my way to the aisle. All staff were absolutely amazing, everything flowed perfectly and that’s all down to their hard work on the day. We are so appreciative of everyone’s efforts the staff are amazing. Aswell as the staff Shotton Grange is stunning, the grounds are beautiful and it’s the perfect sized venue. We are so glad we picked this venue for our special day. It was absolutely beautiful! -

Getting married at Shotton Grange was easily one of the best wedding planning decisions we made. From discovering this hidden gem when diving into the depths of Google Maps for North East wedding venues, we instantly knew this venue was the one for us. It had everything we hoped for and more - from the exclusivity of the venue, to its beautiful gardens and decor, all the natural light and even the duck breast main! The venue ticked every box, added extra boxes, and then ticked those.
Emma, our Wedding Coordinator, was fantastic from start to finish. We had MANY questions and she was there for them all. Communication was out of this world throughout - 99% of all emails were responded to within 24 hours. Whenever Emma wasn’t available (which seemed very rarely the case!), another member of the team would swiftly pick up our emails. If you want to be fully in control of your day with everyone kept in the loop, Shotton Grange (or their sister venues), is the venue you need.
Rachel, our Master of Ceremonies, and all the on-the-day team were amazing. The whole day ran so smoothly and we were able to just spend the day as Bride and Groom. The day flowed beautifully from one stage to the next, and everything was as we'd envisioned in the planning.
From our private venue tour right up until the day after our wedding, Shotton Grange has been a delight. The initial, halfway and final meetings that took place were very helpful to us - we never felt rushed in the meetings or to make any decisions on the wedding, they helped us to generate ideas on what we wanted from the day, and on top of that, we were able to spend more time with our lovely venue in the lead up. The menu tasting night and supplier open days were also great, and we even visited the venue for our Valentine’s Day meal which was fantastic.
We hope to visit again in the future, whether that be for one of their events, another wedding, or to host another event of our own. -
