Rutland Hall Hotel is an absolutely beautiful venue! We had our wedding ceremony, wedding breakfast and wedding reception at the venue and everything was perfect. Emmie was such a superstar and was always happy to help with any questions and queries that we had. The whole team at the hotel were so lovely and nothing was too much trouble, we were looked after very well. Our guests loved the venue and said what a beautiful setting it was with the views of Rutland Water. Everything was spotless and the hotel rooms were lovely and warm and cosy too. Thank you SO much for making our special day so perfect.

From the very beginning of our wedding planning journey, Normanton Park Hotel exceeded all expectations. The entire process was absolutely seamless thanks to the incredible Wayne, the hotel manager, who is truly exceptional at what he does. You can tell instantly that he’s been in the industry for years—his calm, professional presence and ability to keep everything under control made us feel completely at ease from start to finish. Wayne genuinely goes the extra mile, not only in the lead-up to the big day but especially on the day itself. As the couple getting married, it’s hard to describe how reassuring it is to know you’re in such capable hands. Wayne and his whole team were warm, accommodating, and unbelievably attentive—not just to us, but to every one of our guests. Our niece and her husband, who run a major corporate events company (organising events at Cheltenham, Henley Regatta, and more), were seriously impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of the entire team across the wedding day and the surrounding days. That says it all! We received endless compliments from guests about the venue itself—it’s stunning. So many made a mini-break out of our wedding, and it’s easy to see why. The setting is breathtaking, with beautiful, varied spaces: the outdoor terrace with views over the lake, the pergola, the conservatory, the indoor and outdoor bars, and the dance floor. The food on the wedding day was also outstanding. Everything was delicious, perfectly portioned, served all together; so many guests commented on how much they loved it. If we were to do it all over again, we would choose Normanton Park Hotel every single time. It was the best day of our lives, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for more. We can’t thank Wayne and the team enough and would recommend Normanton Park Hotel without hesitation to any couples looking for the perfect wedding venue.

The wonderful staff of the Barnsdale hotel made our wedding feel very special, nothing was too much trouble for them and they accommodated my friends and family in a professional and friendly way. They dealt with a few problems really well and made everything run very smoothly. Its a beautiful venue and the new barn is worth seeing! Go and have a look!

We cannot recommend Lily and the incredible team at The Falcon Hotel in Uppingham highly enough! From the very first meeting, Lily completely understood our vision and brought it to life flawlessly. Every detail was meticulously planned and executed and Lily made sure everything came together so effortlessly. The food was nothing short of extraordinary - we received rave reviews from our guests. On the day itself, everything ran perfectly, and we were able to relax and truly enjoy every moment, knowing that Lily and her team had thought of absolutely everything. What made our experience even more remarkable was dealing with a venue that genuinely cared about our day, not just the bottom line. It was such a breath of fresh air to work with a team that didn’t see the word “wedding” as a blank cheque – we received exceptional service and attention to detail at excellent value for money. Barnsdale Gardens was the absolute perfect venue for us to celebrate our wedding day! We had a small ceremony of 40 guests and it was the most perfect intimate outdoor setting that we could have ever dreamed of. From the very first time we looked around the gardens, we knew it was the right place for us. Charlotte (our wedding coordinator) was so friendly and professional from the very beginning and helped us to plan the perfect day, answering all our questions and adding in all the details we wanted, no matter how big or small. Even though it rained on the day, Charlotte and her team did everything they could to make sure that our guests felt welcome and comfortable. We got married under the arbour, which is the most stunning setting and a magical place that we will never forget. The price of the venue was also so reasonable, including the offers for canapés and drinks after our ceremony. Thank you so much Charlotte we are so grateful ❤️

This is an historic building that lends itself beautifully for a perfect setting for as civil wedding. Set in the quaint town of Oakham in Rutland. Very romantic

We got married in September ‘24 and had the best day of our lives at Haybales farm! Obviously, that’s because we got married but being in a perfect setting really helped with that feeling. We always wanted to get married outdoors and as soon as we found Haybales we knew it was the place for us. Finding it, the field itself was a little challenging but between the what three words and a few handmade wedding signs with our names on all of our guests found it fine. The tipi is gorgeous, perfectly sized for dancing, eating and a bar too. The drinks are typical wedding prices but not crazy either, we are from the midlands so a little more than we would pay at home but most were £6. We had wine on the tables, I would recommend choosing your own if you want something specific otherwise you’ll get pretty basic stuff but that isn’t necessarily a problem. We wanted to keep the cost down so we did a lot of decorating ourselves, Amy was onsite with us for most of the time and she helped us which was so kind. The weather unfortunately wasn’t exactly what we ordered, but Will was there offering ideas and solutions. He told us we could move the wedding inside the tipi, which honestly would have looked gorgeous with all the fairy lights. We decided to embrace the fog though and had a slightly atmospheric wedding outside and honestly, no one even noticed the weather it was still a perfect wedding! This is not their review but; We had a celebrant to do our wedding in the field, Steve Morris Celebrant, who was amazing and perfect for our wedding! We got a caterer in that did pizza, potters pizza, who cooked on site for 2 hours, kept everyone happy and fed. The pizza was amazing and fit the theme so well. We also hired a glamping service, enchanted bell tents, who some of our guests also chose to use too. For those guests who didn’t glamp, Will and Amy allowed us to let our guests camp for free on the field with us so when everyone had set up it was a real festival vibe. There are lots of hotels and b’n’b’s nearby (even a few premier inns for the less expensive option) for those who need a real bed too. Taxis weren’t too bad either, we were told to book in advance to avoid disappointment as there is only one or two in the local area, but we found calling out to Oakham or Stamford companies worked okay if you were willing to wait a little longer for a lift. Will and Amy were really lovely and helped with organising all our third parties, things you don’t want to think about on your wedding day like the DJ has arrived, where are the plugs or the toilet hire has arrived, they have it covered. They are both really lovely and helpful and open to ideas. They let us stay from Friday to Sunday to set up and we had a great time. We would definitely recommend it here!

We chose In The Stix to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary as we’d stayed in the domes before and knew it would be a great location. We had 100 guests, many of whom stayed on-site; either in the domes or camping in the additional field. From beginning to end we were looked after by the owners Alex & Darren who made sure we had an amazing weekend. We had caterers for the main meal and a bar for the evening, but In The Stix also provided delicious breakfast hampers and meal pots for anyone who needed it – so no-one went hungry! Alex organised everything for us including the caterers, the bar, the photographer and a licence for the event so that we could have music outside until late. We used many different parts of the site; the woods for our ceremony, the brook for cutting the cake and the event space for our food. The event space was used again on Sunday for homemade pizzas, and all those staying in the domes enjoyed a relaxing hot-tub. We had so much positive feedback from all our friends and family who all agreed it was the perfect weekend, and we now have so many happy memories to look back on – thank you In The Stix.
