We chose In The Stix to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary as we’d stayed in the domes before and knew it would be a great location. We had 100 guests, many of whom stayed on-site; either in the domes or camping in the additional field. From beginning to end we were looked after by the owners Alex & Darren who made sure we had an amazing weekend. We had caterers for the main meal and a bar for the evening, but In The Stix also provided delicious breakfast hampers and meal pots for anyone who needed it – so no-one went hungry! Alex organised everything for us including the caterers, the bar, the photographer and a licence for the event so that we could have music outside until late. We used many different parts of the site; the woods for our ceremony, the brook for cutting the cake and the event space for our food. The event space was used again on Sunday for homemade pizzas, and all those staying in the domes enjoyed a relaxing hot-tub. We had so much positive feedback from all our friends and family who all agreed it was the perfect weekend, and we now have so many happy memories to look back on – thank you In The Stix.

Our wedding at The Barnsdale was an absolute dream come true. From the moment we set foot on the picturesque grounds, we knew we had found the perfect venue for our special day. The rustic charm, elegant touches, and impeccable service provided by the Barnsdale team made our celebration truly unforgettable. Every detail was flawlessly executed, from the stunning floral arrangements to the delicious catering. We are endlessly grateful for the dedication and passion of Ellie and the team, and we feel incredibly lucky to have shared such a magical day in such a beautiful place!

What a beautiful wedding and events location. I would highly recommend Haybales farm to anyone, located in Rutland!

Charlotte and the team at Barnsdale Gardens were amazing. The venue is absolutely stunning no matter the season or the weather. Our pictures were beautiful. Charlotte made lots of special arrangements for us on the day and was very efficient and calm - which is just what we needed.

we couldn’t have asked for anymore of the venue and the staff! Tom and I would like to sincerely thank everyone involved in the running of our wedding, it was perfect from start to finish! The venue looked absolutely amazing, the grounds were so clean and tidy and it was lovely to see the grass was still green and the flowers looking so fresh despite the long spell of hot weather we’ve had. The reception staff were brilliant checking everyone in and so helpful to our guests. A special thank you to Judith and yourself for sorting out the query for us regarding the Windsor suite and other queries about rooms etc. Thank you to the staff who drove our guests around the venue in the golf buggy, nothing was too much trouble for them and our guests really appreciated not having to walk up the hill in the heat. The food was outstanding, we had so many comments about how nice the food was and how high quality the produce used was. It was all served piping hot and good sized portions. The Barbecue in the evening was amazing and it was lovely that we were given the option for our guests to enjoy eating it outside on the terrace. Please pass our compliments onto the chefs, we couldn’t fault anything! A special thank you to Megan and Alex for ensuring our wedding day ran so smoothly. A special mention to Megan who was outstanding, she is a credit to Rutland Hall Hotel. From the moment I met her I knew our day was in safe hands, nothing was ever too much and she always made sure Tom and I were happy with everything and ran things by us but we never felt pestered. It was lovely to be able to just relax and enjoy our day knowing that Megan had everything in order. Also thank you the lovely the lady in the polka dot top (I’m sorry I can’t remember her name) who also made our day run smoothly. Thank you to the waiters and waitresses and the bar staff for their continuous service throughout the day, I can’t imagine it’s an easy task looking after so many people. And last but not least thank you to you Juliet, we couldn’t have asked for anyone better to help us organise our wedding! I can’t imagine it’s easy to take over from someone else half way through but nothing was ever too much trouble and you were always on hand to answer our questions, I know there were a lot of them! You are a credit to the team and it was a pleasure working with you to achieve our dream day. I am so grateful for all of your hard work and pushing to get the Windsor suite open for us, it is truly a beautiful suite and the renovations of the whole venue are exceptional. All of our guests were so impressed with the rooms and views from the grounds. From the bottom of our hearts thank you all so much! We look forward to coming back soon.

When deciding on a venue for our wedding reception there was no questioning were to go. Normanton Park Hotel has the most beautiful setting and attentive staff. From the very beginning staff were available to help with the planning, answer any questions we had and suggest ideas. As most of our family were travelling a long distance to get here they stayed the night before the wedding as well as the wedding night. Housekeeping staff made sure their rooms were homely and other staff were very welcoming. On the day of our wedding we returned from the church to be greeted at the car by the wedding coordinator with our arrival drinks (a nice touch!). The waiting and bar staff were all very friendly and helpful, they couldn’t do enough for you and always had a smile on their face. After the wedding breakfast the room was quickly cleared and cleaned ready for our evening reception and extra guests. Throughout the day the wedding coordinator was there to organise food, drink, and even our dj. We didn’t have to do a thing and felt confident that the wedding coordinator had everything in hand. We had a fantastic day and all our wedding guests commented on how stunning the view was. Thank you Normanton Park Hotel.
