Located in the heart of Aldington, Kent, Ruffynes Barn is a beautifully restored rustic but chic wedding venue within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Sitting above the banks of the Romney Marshes and a short distance from the renowned Aspinall Port Lympne Animal Reserve, the views that surround this venue are simply stunning. Ruffynes cleverly combines olde world charm and contemporary elegance which perfectly showcases it as a unique setting for a wedding celebration.

Facilities and Capacity

The 16th century five bay barn has been lovingly restored to its former glory and boasts huge vaulted ceilings and exposed oak beams but also provides all the necessary modern conveniences with a capacity to host up to 200 guests for an evening reception. We also offer prep rooms within the Oast House for the Bridal party. If you wish to have a more traditional ceremony you can take the short stroll to St Martin's Church in Aldington, a historic 13th-century church which is the perfect location to tie the knot in front of family and friends. The venue is easily accessible, close to the M20 and just five miles to Ashford International rail station where high speed trains can take you to and from London in just over 35 minutes.

Ruffynes Barn is a family run business and the team are on hand to offer any help they can to ensure that your wedding day lives long in the memory. The wedding co-ordinator will ensure your event runs like clockwork as well as offering to help you throughout the initial process to make sure your vision of the special day is meticulously planned and executed. The venue has a fully stocked licensed bar and also has a preferred list of vendors and suppliers including photographers, florists and hairdressers. We have recently required a Shepherds Hut which is onsite for our couples' private use. Chefs Will Burnett of fernandfarrow.co.uk , Jess of jessicaleahcatering.com and Olivia at justonecook.co.uk are all talented, established chefs who, without question, will provide a culinary experience to delight your guests. They provide a number of different menus to cover all tastes and budgets.
