Jenny Sent on 06/09/2025Stanford Farm was the backdrop to our wedding day, and we couldn’t have imagined a more perfect venue.
We decided to have our wedding at Stanford because from the very first visit, we fell in love with its charm. The setting is simply beautiful, surrounded by countryside with a rustic yet elegant feel that instantly made us feel relaxed and excited about the possibilities. Unlike other venues, Stanford gave us the freedom to shape the day in a way that truly reflected us as a couple, which was really important to us.
What we liked most about the venue was the flexibility and the atmosphere. Every space had something special to offer, from the ceremony areas to the barns and the outdoor settings. We chose to get married in the Stables and honestly it was the best decision. So many of our guests commented on how cute and beautiful the setting was, which made it feel even more special for us. With the three-day hire there was no rushing about; everything could be done at our own pace. Having my bridal party around the night before for a barbecue was such a lovely way to start the celebrations and really set the tone for the wedding.
The Prop Shop is also a fantastic idea. Weddings can be so expensive, and having access to items donated in the past or provided by Stanford gave us so many unique touches without the extra cost. It really added character and charm to our day.
Keith was absolutely amazing. He was so calm, friendly, helpful, and reassuring from start to finish. He made the whole process stress-free, guiding us whenever we needed advice but also giving us the space to create our own vision. On the day itself, he and the rest of the team worked seamlessly behind the scenes, making sure everything ran perfectly without us having to worry about a thing. We couldn’t have asked for better support.
We would recommend Stanford Farm because it’s not just a venue, it’s an experience. You don’t just get a stunning location, you get a team who genuinely care about making your day as special as it can be. If you’re looking for a wedding venue that combines beauty, flexibility, and incredible people who go the extra mile, Stanford Farm is the place.

The most perfect day!
From the moment we looked around Stanford farm we knew it just had to be our wedding venue! We reserved it the same day we looked around!
We had our wedding at Stanford farm on the 14.02.26 and it was simply the most amazing day! Everything ran perfectly and Keith was on hand throughout the day - we really appreciated having him there! Nothing was too much trouble and he just helped to keep us calm. It really is such a unique and special place! Our guest couldn’t stop going on about how beautiful a venue it was!
We cannot thank the team at Stanford enough for helping us have the most magical day! -

We got married at Stanford Farm in July 2025 and we honestly cannot praise this venue and team enough.
I currently live in California but I’m originally from Shropshire, so I know the area well. Planning a wedding in Shropshire while living in California could have been incredibly stressful, but the communication from the Stanford Farm team was exceptional throughout. Emails were prompt, clear, and reassuring despite the time difference, and it always felt like there was a real person on the other end who genuinely cared. That level of communication made the entire process feel calm and manageable.
Keith deserves a special mention as the lead wedding coordinator - he is an absolute LEGEND! Calm, organized, and endlessly helpful, he goes above and beyond in every sense. The entire team were fantastic, and it truly felt like a collective effort where everyone was invested in making our weekend special.
We hired the venue for three days, with Friday as a prep day, and the flexibility and warmth from the team was outstanding. Rather than feeling like a formal, packaged wedding venue, Stanford Farm felt like a true family celebration space - relaxed, personal, and full of heart. They have an entire barn full of table decorations and Photo Booth props - the possibilities were endless and all included in the price. Phenomenal value for money!
During the weekend we also hosted my parents’ joint 70th birthday party at Stanford Farm, complete with a rounders match on the grounds. It ended up being one of the highlights of the entire weekend and perfectly sums up the venue - a place where multiple generations can come together and celebrate properly.
On the Friday we met George, who handled the lighting and atmosphere beautifully. From soft, romantic lighting to full disco-ball party mode (see amazing photos attached), he brought everything together effortlessly.
On the wedding day, being able to use the farmhouse to get ready was incredibly special. The rustic interior is full of charm and character, and I have the most beautiful photos from that morning that I will cherish forever.
We were married in the stables and held our reception in the cow barn - both spaces overflowing with rustic charm and warmth. Several members of our wedding party were American, and Stanford Farm was an unforgettable experience for them - a perfect taste of the English countryside.
What stood out most was the atmosphere. This didn’t feel like a cookie-cutter wedding venue; it felt like a celebration overflowing with love. In fact, people genuinely left our wedding saying there was “too much love”, which we now consider the highest possible compliment!

The most amazing day!
We are Louise & Luke and we booked Stanford Farm for our wedding venue. We had the most amazing day. We loved the idea of a 3 day wedding and spending the night before with our nearest and dearest, we loved the day after too as we were able to have breakfast and there was no rush to get going.
We decided to have our wedding at Stanford because it suited us as we are outdoorsy people and we knew our children would love the space and freedom to do what they wanted. The accommodation was all amazing and very quirky, all of our guest loved it. What a little gem Stanford Farm is.
Nothing was too much trouble the staff are amazing and were a huge part of our day. The support, tips and recommendations from Stanford Farm were just amazing we couldn’t have asked for a better day.
We want to do it all again!
All of our guests absolutely loved the place and we did too as we were able to do what we wanted within reason and it was all done by us so was perfect!

Couldn’t have asked for a better day!
The owners and staff at Stanford Farm could not have been more helpful, from the moment we arrived to view the venue we instantly felt welcomed and looked after, a vibe that continued all the way until after our wedding! Any nerves or worries I had in the week leading up to the wedding instantly melted away when I arrived the morning before, staff were on hand with any questions and queries and their own calm and collected demeanour helped to keep us calm too! Our day ran as smoothly as it could, all down to the behind the scenes work of Kieth and his staff.
Another big plus was the prop shop at Stanford. A huge room full of so many decorations and games and signs, we were allowed access to this prop shop ahead of time to take note of what we could use ourselves, saved us lots of time trying to source all our decor and accessories!
The farmhouse was the perfect place for us to stay with our close family, it was incredibly clean and very well stocked, the bridal suite was the most perfect room to get ready in with my bridesmaids with lots of lighting and mirrors.
Overall I could not have asked for a better venue to get married at, not just for the ideal all in one place facilities, but Keith and family were there every step of the way and happy to answer our endless questions and queries!Stanford Farm's reply:

rom the first moment we visited Stanford Farm, we knew it was something special. We’d been looking for a venue that wasn’t too traditional or formal — somewhere with a bit of quirk and personality that gave us the freedom to do things our way. Stanford Farm stood out immediately. It had this relaxed, welcoming feel that put us at ease straight away, and the more we explored, the more we could imagine the whole weekend unfolding there.
We hired the venue from Friday to Monday, and I honestly can’t recommend the weekend hire enough. Having that extra time meant we never felt rushed. We had space to properly settle in, spend time with our guests, and enjoy every moment without it feeling like it was all over in a flash.
Friday felt like the start of a mini festival. Our friends and family arrived throughout the day to set up their tents and help us decorate the barn. There was music playing, dogs exploring the fields, everyone pitching in, and just this lovely sense of excitement building. It turned what’s usually a stressful setup day into one of my favourite memories from the whole weekend.
Saturday, the wedding day itself, was exactly what we’d dreamed of — joyful, a bit theatrical, and totally us. I’ve always loved Sister Act, so we leaned into that for the ceremony. The bridesmaids were dressed as nuns, and we had a full gospel choir singing us down the aisle. It was honestly one of the most magical, hilarious, and emotional moments of my life. There was so much energy and joy in the room, and our guests absolutely loved it.
After the ceremony, we moved into the barn for speeches before dinner. It felt intimate, personal, and full of laughter. The barn looked gorgeous, and the layout gave us loads of flexibility to make it feel like us. We had fantastic live music in the evening from The Cover Ducks, who absolutely brought the party. The dancefloor was packed, and people were still talking the next day about how good they were.
Sunday gave us time to wind down and soak everything in. We started the day slowly with tea, bacon butties, and stories from the night before, then held a line dancing class in the barn led by Honkey Tonk Highway. It was a brilliant way to get everyone moving again — silly, joyful, and inclusive. People showed up in cowboy hats and had the best time. It turned out to be one of the real highlights of the weekend.
One of the things I appreciated most was how flexible the venue was. We were able to bring in our own caterers, decorate how we liked, and set our own schedule. It never felt like a ‘wedding package’ or production line. Instead, it felt like the team genuinely wanted us to have a brilliant time and supported us in creating a weekend that was truly ours. They were friendly, responsive, and gave us space to enjoy the venue as if it were our own.
Our guests absolutely loved it. So many people commented on how unique and fun the venue was. Being able to stay on site in tents or campervans made it feel like one big celebration, rather than a single day. The dogs had the best time too — there was plenty of room for them to roam and relax, and the whole place felt really dog-friendly, which was important to us.
We left on Monday completely exhausted in the best way. It had been a full weekend of connection, joy, dancing, and laughter, and Stanford Farm gave us the perfect setting for it all. If you’re looking for a venue with flexibility, personality, and a genuinely caring team, we couldn’t recommend it more. It felt like our wedding — not a template — and that made all the difference. -

Stanford Farm was the perfect venue for us, the landscape, the buildings, the vines, just everything! From the first day we saw it, we loved it, but then came our 3 day wedding. Everything we’d dreamed of came true, just when you think it wouldn’t meet expectations, it surpassed them. The team are beyond helpful, doing so many little things behind the scenes on your day just to make it all seamless! Just perfect in every way!
Kieth was our star of the day. Our on the day coordinator, made us feel relaxed, kept us smiling and made everything run so smoothly-his attention to the little details is insane! So much love and appreciation for his presence on our day.
From hay bales, vintage food trucks and camping on your wedding night to sleeping in converted train carriages and double decker buses, Stanford has it all. I promise you will not regret making your own wedding here, no where else compares. -

Best day of our lives
The team at Stanford farm made our dream wedding run perfectly, they made it stress free so we could just enjoy the day. The venue was so beautiful and perfectly set out for whatever the weather. The stables are the most beautiful place to say “I do”.
With the venue being dog friendly we had our two dogs with us at the wedding, both high energy dogs so we was worried with how it would go but with the team being so relaxed we was able to relax and let our dogs enjoy the big venue grounds and they had the best time.
Best decision that we chose this venue. We loved every second of our day and we couldn’t thank the team enough for making our day not only for us but for every single guest so special and amazing -

We fell in love with Stanford Farm as soon as we visited for our first viewing. From the individualised tour, taking the time to get to know us, to being on the end of an email answering our questions, the staff took care of us every step of the way and ensured we could truly relax and enjoy every moment of our wedding day. The staff work so hard, with plenty of attention to detail. Particular shout out to Keith, for whom nothing was too much trouble. He gave us practical and emotional support throughout the day, lending his knowledge and expertise but allowing us to do things our way.
