Though delayed, we couldn’t not leave a shining review for the incredible venue that is Old Gore. It was the first, (and only) venue we needed to visit before our mind was made up that it was the place for us. The whole ethos of the team and company sold it for us (as well as the most spectacular food!).
It’s the most beautiful wedding venue, with gorgeous indoor and outdoor spaces that created the perfect backdrop for our day. Even with the risk of rain, it still makes the perfect setting for a wedding.
Emily, our wedding coordinator, was exceptional from start to finish as our primary contact throughout (from our first visit, to picking up our left over wine the day after!) She was efficient, organised, fun and such a calming presence throughout the entire planning process. The quick responses to queries (from the whole team), updates and check-ins made everything feel effortless. We were lucky to have the addition of lovely Polly on the day and she was a welcomed addition. Emily and Polly she kept the whole day flowing seamlessly. No request was ever too much trouble, and they helped us build a truly personalised day that felt completely “us.”
The food was incredible, cooked over fire pits with a view straight into the kitchen, which added such a unique touch. The relaxed vibe, combined with the amazing quality of the food, made the whole experience feel special and authentic.
Our guests haven’t stopped talking about how stunning the venue was and how polite, kind, and attentive the staff were.
We genuinely couldn’t have asked for anything more from the whole team at Old Gore, thank you. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed and personal, yet professional wedding experience.

Cannot recommend Old Gore Barn enough. We recently got married there and the venue was phenomenal. Polly was our event manager for the day and did an amazing job. Everything ran perfectly, the staff couldn't do enough for us, and we honestly had the best day of our lives. This venue looks amazing in rain or shine, the food is great, and the disco ball is a MUST. I'd get married here every year if I could.Old Gore Barn - Yardspace's reply:

We had the most incredible wedding day at Old Gore - and I know every couple says that, but we truly mean it! From start to finish, everything ran seamlessly, and we have to give a huge shout out to Alex. Her organisation and calm presence meant we didn't have t worry about a think and could just enjoy every moment.
In the lead up to the day, all the staff were so helpful, patient and quick to responmd to our (sometimes weird and wonderful!) questions. Nothing felt like too much trouble, and it really made the planning process feel stress-free.
The food was plentiful and absolutely amazing - we've had so many compliments from our guests. And of course, the venue itself is stunning; the perfect backdrop for the best day of our lives.

When we say Old Gore Barn was exceptional, we mean in literally every sense of the word. From the location, the teams that work there and make Old Gore what is it, the communication, the food - who can forget the food?!, value for money etc.
We took about a year and a half to find dreamy Old Gore. And it was absolutely worth it. After visiting multiple venues previously, I cannot express how much of a breath of fresh air Old Gore is. They are so welcoming, relaxed but in a completely professional way of course, it felt like nothing was a bother, they were so willing to help with the planning, on the day, all of it. Old Gore is completely transparent in their communications/cost breakdowns too. Planning a wedding is stressful, but at least with Old Gore, your venue definitely doesn’t have to be. The amount of random emails I sent asking questions out of the blue and they have an answer ready, it’s is all catered and thought of before you ask. I think by the time we had our wedding day we had spoken with every member of the events/wedding team at one point or another and every single person has been consistently wonderful, informative and helpful. Cannot fault them.
The venue itself - just outstanding. Set in a beautiful backdrop of fields, it’s so quiet and picturesque. We were a November wedding and dry weather is optimistic but if it does rain (like it did on our day), it did not spoil the beauty or flow of the day. Besides it’s good luck for it to rain on your wedding day anyways!
The food, well thank god Old Gore do feast nights cause we’ll be coming back to experience that all over again. Our guests could not stop talking about the food, how amazing it was, the quality and quantity. We even had friends of ours who are engaged who love Old Gore so much, they’ll be looking to visit and the surrounding sister venues for their day.

I couldn’t possibly begin to recommend Old Gore more!
Old Gore was the first of a few venues we looked at for our wedding, and the others simply didn’t come close.
The buildings itself are beautiful and really don’t require much else to make them truly sing. We got married in mid-November, and the barn’s cosy vibe was exactly what we were looking for.
The whole team – Alex, Emily, Polly etc – are all amazing; they replied so quickly throughout the 18 months, and no question was too small or too annoying! The team really make the venue even better. Polly was our on the day coordinator and she was truly brilliant. We felt in such safe hands the entire day, and our friends and family raved about literally everything.
I do need to shout out the food – holy moly. We already knew we didn’t want stuffy small portions of boring, bland food, but we were literally blown away. We attended a Feast Night to choose our options – absolutely recommend!! – and the food was simply incredible, but on the day, it seemed even better! I’ve never had more texts from friends about the dauphinoise potatoes…!!
Genuinely couldn’t recommend Old Gore and the amazing team more. We had a truly magnificent wedding day and couldn’t have wished for more.

From the moment we stepped out the car at Old Gore we just knew. The whole place has this aura that’s calming and beautiful, and then we met Emily. What an incredible human!! As someone who can be quite anxious she made me feel so at ease and nothing was too much trouble, this was from the very beginning to the actual day.
We knew we wanted fun and that’s exactly what we got. The food, the drinks, the vibe were all absolutely perfect. The food was incredible and the whole team executed the process incredibly well with nothing being too much effort.
Like most we have some interesting family dynamics and a couple of “glitches” on the day which were completely taken care of by Emily with absolute professionalism and if I hadn’t nagged for the detail, would be none the wiser, thank you.
We have had so many compliments from our family and friends who have all said it was the best wedding they’ve been too, and trust me they have high standards.

We got married at Old Gore last Thursday and couldn’t recommend it more. The team there made it the opposite of stressful (from email responses for over a year with super helpful advice through to recommendations on the finer details of the day). The food was incredible and multiple guests have said it’s some of the best wedding food they’ve had. We had amazing canapés, steak for main and pizza late night snack and it was perfect. Special shoutout to the whole team and in particular our coordinator on the day (Emily). She was so on the ball and generally put me and the bridal / groom parties at ease. Thank you again team, it’s a day we will never forget! Emma and James xx

Best venue ever!
The whole process was great. We had Ella as our co-ordinator and she was the best. She set up all my DIY decorations perfectly, she was incredibly calming on the day, and she was really attentive. The whole process was very relaxed and chilled which is just what we wanted. Our guests loved the food, the setting, and didn’t have anything bad to say which was great for us to hear! All the timings worked perfectly, the day ran smoothly with no pressure on us at all. We would highly recommend this venue for the perfect wedding!Old Gore Barn - Yardspace's reply:
