The Macdonald Alveston Manor is one of Stratford-upon-Avon’s premier wedding venues in the town centre. The Tudor mansion is located on the south side of the River Avon amidst beautifully landscaped grounds.
Our magnificent Cedar Tree is the centrepiece of the venue, and is thought to be the historic location of the first performance of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The hotel embraces the original features of the building such as the oak panelling, leaded windows and grand Elizabethan staircase. While celebrating the history and tradition of the building, the hotel offers everything you would expect from modern hospitality.
For your ceremony, the attractive Cedar Room can comfortably seat up to 120 wedding guests to enjoy both the wedding celebrations and the beautiful garden views. The room is licensed to hold civil ceremonies and has space to accommodate a wedding breakfast and reception with up to 150 guests. The suite’s French windows open out onto the Terrace and Gardens, which in the summer months, are perfect for a drinks reception and to capture important photos.
The Avon Room is the ideal space for smaller civil ceremonies with up to 60 guests. The private dining room can accommodate wedding breakfasts with 40 of your closest friends and family for an intimate wedding party.
Our Wedding Co-ordinator, Celeste Pederzolli will be on hand every step of the way throughout your wedding preparations. Our dedicated Master of Ceremonies will help you with every detail, big or small, to ensure that your day is perfect.
