Everything was amazing - the Circular Hall is superb, the registrars did a fantastic job (the ceremony was short and sweet and emotional), we had the room for 2 hours so we could host our drinks reception. It was beyond everything we could have expected!
Leah and the team ensured we had our perfect day - the communication was easy, they were super flexible, all staff was thoughtful and kind.

We wanted to do a separate legal ceremony from a marriage and we chose Lambeth town hall to do the former. We really enjoyed our legal ceremony - much more than expected. Everyone we dealt with was welcoming, friendly and made us feel like the day was special to them as well as us. Kaye and Dean in particular were fabulous - their professionalism and love for their jobs shone through! Thank you!

The lady that conducted our service was amazing, 10/10.
However, the communication and organisation in the run-up to the day was appalling, considering they are dealing the most important moments in a person's life (births, deaths, marriages) I expected better.
three weeks before the service our room was changed. No one told us this. I called to find out if there was anything I needed to do as I had heard nothing, this is when I was told. I did not like the room but it was at least discounted.
I received an email thanking me for filling out a ceremony planner that I had not received. This is how I found out that I needed to fill out a ceremony planner.
We took the offer to have drinks for our guests following the ceremony. I was told to drop them off on the Friday beforehand. No one knew what I was talking about when I arrived with the drinks. The porter helped my partner to take the drinks to the fridge anyway, and we just hoped that everything would be ok on the day. Even after he said that the ceremony would be set up for 70 people, when it was supposed to be 100.
No one seemed to know about the drinks on the day either. We had to explain to the staff that the drinks in the fridge were ours. They sorted this out quickly, but again, terrible communication.
As previously mentioned, the service itself was beautiful.

The booking itself was easy from my side, but then there was a long period of lack of communication, not replying to emails, and not answering the phones. After all it turned out they booked the wrong day, which was rectified after 2 failed attempts on their side (they kept asking me to pay for the wrong date again and again). Then, they were then confused about whether I have paid or not (they asked me to check my bank account and tell them because they could not figure it out), and there was not much info about the ceremony itself up until the day prior.

On the day, even though we arrived slightly after the start time (as agreed on the phone the day before), were asked to wait 15 minutes in an empty room for the registrar to show up, which cut into the paid ceremony time that we wanted to spend with our guests. Even though we were told someone would help us setting up the speaker for the music for the reception there was no-one present to help. The step-free exit doors were locked shut (and there was again no-one from council staff present) so some of our guests had problem leaving.
The venue is beautiful, but the council does not care that much.

Planning our ceremony with Love Lambeth was a breeze - they were friendly, responsive, and helpful. We loved the Circular Hall and were able to have drinks there afterwards to celebrate with family and friends.

We opted to have our legal wedding at Lambeth town hall in July. The whole experience start to finish was very smooth. They were very accommodating when we couldn't find a date that worked with our schedules and the two registrars running the ceremony were fantastic. A short but sweet service inside a beautiful venue! Would recommend.

We booked the Bowie room and everyone commented on how lovely it was. The registrars were brilliant and made us feel very relaxed before the ceremony started.

A perfect start to our married life

We got married in the Bowie room at Lambeth town hall with 10 of our closest friends and family. The room was beautiful, the staff were so friendly and helpful (and excited to celebrate with us) and the officiant listened to us, understood our vibe, and performed a great short ceremony.

It was exactly what we wanted for a registry office wedding but still felt classy and welcoming.

From when we w quoted to the day we got married we couldn’t fault the communication from the people at the town hall. I asked a lot of questions and they were really helpful
We booked 2 of the Heritage suites, there are 3 in total, and we had about 54 guests including ourselves so don’t want to cram them all into the one room. The service was beautiful and the room was perfect
I would definitely recommend getting married at this venue as they have quite a few different room for the ceremony depending on your needs

We got married in the Lambeth Townhall in May 2024. DJ and Sam were officiating at our civil ceremony and they have been so kind and helpful! They helped us and our family/friends to create beautiful memories on the day and they have been professional at what they do. There are also many room options within Lambeth Townhall and all very classic and elegant. Highly recommend!

The staff and our officiant made our marriage ceremony at Lambeth Town hall truly special. They treated us so well and even had vows ready for us.

The ceremony was amazing! We had a meeting before where they asked us if we wanted music, to exchange vows and rings, so we could have our personalised ceremony even being in a registry office.

From the notice day to the wedding day the Town Hall team has been very responsive and helpful.
Dean has been amazing in celebrating our wedding and it was just like we wanted it to be.
