Our wedding 7/9/13 was fantastic. For the huge, grand space, central location and quality of the food/wine/service the Russell is excellent value. Very impressive venue, extremely convenient. Samantha was excellent. Stationary, chair covers and beautiful lit candelabras on every table even in the cheapest package. No need to splash out on flowers. Good value bar (for central London). Great photo opportunities in Hotel and adjacent square. Go for it!Sent on 27/09/2013

We had our ceremony and reception here a few weeks ago and the wedding was better than both of us could have dreamed. Everyone commented on how beautiful the venue was, how amazing the food was and how smoothly everything went. A few said they wanted their wedding to be there (once they got engaged!). The location was perfect for us, as we had people coming from all around London and around the world- the hotel was only 2 minutes walk from Russell Square tube. There are fabulous photo opportunities both inside/outside the hotel, and in the square across the road. One of the selling points for me was that if it rained, the venue itself was pretty so I could still get some great photos (it didn’t rain, but given which country we’re in, it’s always a major consideration whatever time of year it is!) Samantha, the hotel’s wedding co-ordinator, was fantastic throughout the whole process, she was always prompt at answering any questions I had which gave me confidence that everything would be well organised on the day. We didn’t have to worry about anything during the wedding day, they had it all under control, so we could relax and have fun! They have quite a few different packages which should suit most peoples budgets, the prices were comparable or even less expensive than some of the venues I was looking at in the London suburbs/outer London- it’s definitely worth looking into this venue. A massive thank you to Samantha, Rupak and the rest of the team!Sent on 13/06/2012
We got married at the Hotel a year ago and the packages include a free anniversary dinner. We went last night and were treated to an amazing meal. Whatever we wanted from the a la carte menu. Choice of wine. Glass of Prosecco.Sent on 08/09/2014
I re-booked the honeymoon suite at a bargain price and there was a complimentary bottle of Prosecco on ice.
We have been so impressed with this venue from the start and couldn't recommend it highly enough.
