Glen Tanar Wedding

Stuart Rattray and his team at Glen Tanar estate made our wedding the most unforgettable and perfect day we’ve ever had.
Thanks to the team there, everything was seamless and during the entire planning process, nothing was too much to ask and Stuart found a way of making our dream come to life.
We chose to get married at the absolutely beautiful Chapel of St Lesmo within the estate, a short walk away from the ballroom where we had our reception.
My family stayed in the onsite cottages which were warm, welcoming and comfortable.
My husband and I stayed in the unique ‘Tower-O-Ess’ honeymoon suite which we fell in love with and plan to return to as often as we can.
All our guests commented on what a stunning venue we had chosen for our special day and Stuart and the team made sure that we loved every minute of it!

A fantastic venue suitbale for either large or small intimate weddings. Accommodation and wedding venue superb with great support from the Glen Tanar Team. A great location with ample opportunity for guests to experience the scottish countryside in Royal Deeside.

Glen Tanar wedding

My husband and I had an absolutely amazing wedding at Glen Tanar in August 2025. We got married at the Trout Loch, which was the most stunning location for our ceremony, before moving to the ballroom and lawn for the reception. The ballroom was the perfect venue for a ceilidh in the evening and we, along with all the guests, had a brilliant time. We hired most of the cottages on the site for our wedding party and some family, and everyone found them incredibly comfortable and tranquil. The cottages were also very convenient for getting ready on the morning of the wedding. We stayed at the Tower O'Ess, which felt very luxurious and made the weekend even more special! Stuart was incredibly helpful before and during the day, and made sure that everything ran smoothly. We're very grateful for all of his support, and would highly recommend Glen Tanar for weddings and holidays!

Small/Intimate wedding at beautiful Glen Tanar

Myself & my husband Ruaridh had the most perfect small / intimate wedding at Glen Tanar on 30/04/25. There was only 23 of our family and friends and i honestly wouldnt have had it any other way.
We got married at the stunning trout loch then back to the garden for drinks & canapés in the sun. Then into the Ballroom for a lovely 3 course meal hosted by Kates Catering who were also brilliant and very attentive.

Our wedding co-ordinator Stuart was fantastic! Couldn't rate him highly enough.
He was very friendly and professional. Always available when we needed him. Really appreciate everything he did for us.

All in all, we both had the best day of our lives there and we would highly recommend getting married at Glen Tanar!

Beautiful Spring Wedding

We hosted our wedding with Glen Tanar in May 2023. We could not have been happier with our experience at the ballroom. Aoibhinn and the whole Glen Tanar team were absolutely amazing in helping us put together our wedding and preparing for the day. We were so happy to share this beautiful part of Scotland with our guests, and Glen Tanar will always be special to us.

The day was everything we had hoped for.

We had the most amazing day. Jane and Shona were fantastic and made everything so easy. The day was just like a dream and everything ran like clockwork. It was just perfect.

An unforgettable day

The whole day ran so well and we both felt so relaxed throughout which was due to Jane and Shona. We couldn't have asked for better hosts for our wedding and you made it an unforgettable day.

The perfect place to have our wedding

What can we say, thank you, thank you, thank you.

My husband and I would like to take the time to thank you both very much for all you did for us in the run up to and day of our wedding. I can't believe it was three weeks ago already! It truly was the most amazing day of our lives. We really couldn't have wished for anything more, even the weather was on our side. Glen Tanar Ballroom and grounds was the perfect place to have our wedding. Once our photos are online I will send you the details so that you can have a look at the great memories you both helped create.

We honestly can't thank you enough.

A perfect day to enjoy and remember

Where do we start? We are so grateful for the way you ran Paisley and Darren’s wedding. It was faultless. A perfect day to enjoy and remember.
