We held our wedding reception at East Afton on 5th November 2025 and had a truly wonderful experience from start to finish. We stayed in the Farmhouse and Annex and found the accommodation to be spacious, comfortable, and perfect for a relaxed wedding stay. It really added to the whole experience.

The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and hardly needs any decoration, though we added some autumnal touches of our own. Being able to set up two days before made the whole process incredibly smooth and took away so much of the usual pre-wedding stress.

Chloe and Mel were fantastic throughout the planning stages. They put our minds at ease, helped us shape the schedule, and were always quick with solutions whenever we had questions. I visited the venue multiple times and they were consistently welcoming and supportive. They even allowed me to bring my parents—who don’t live on the island—so they could be involved in the planning. Their advice on layout and décor was so helpful, and they contacted all our suppliers in advance, which took a huge amount of pressure off us. We had quite a few extras, including a beer pong table, a foosball table, and a DJ, and everything was coordinated seamlessly. They even helped me organise a last-minute bouquet for my mum after I realised I’d left her gift on the mainland, which was very thoughtful.

On the day itself, Lisa was our coordinator, and she was absolutely brilliant. She brought the whole schedule to life with such calmness and precision. I felt a bit stressed before the reception began, but she was so reassuring and warm. The entire team was attentive and professional, and so many of our guests commented on how great the service was—especially how their prosecco glasses were constantly topped up during welcome drinks! Everything flowed exactly as we’d hoped, and the evening was truly fabulous.

Overall, East Afton gave us the perfect reception and we couldn't be more grateful. If you’re looking for a beautiful venue with an exceptional team who genuinely care, we can’t recommend it enough

I don’t even know where to begin!!! East Afton farmhouse is the venue of dreams!! It’s got everything you needand more. The team were unbelievable, Chloe the manager was super responsive from the beginning when I emailed to come and see the venue, she replied straight away and I was there within 30 mins. Any question I had Chloe replied almost instantly, and nothing was too much trouble or too hard. I’m a perfectionist so I was nervous but my wedding at East Afton wasn’t just perfect it was unreal. Mel the coordinator was truly amazing!! She made the whole day run sooo smoothly even rained the entire day I can’t even remember any rain! I didn’t have to think of anything I just relaxed and enjoyed myself. Mel was “the clock” she was unbelievably personable with all of my family and friends and remembered everyone’s names!!
The venue also have stationary, props, a florist and caterers so it’s an all in one package. Made my planning process a whole lot easier.
We also did a day 2 at the venue. Mel arrived in the morning and set up all the previous day’s decorations so when I came down from being ready the place was transformed.
These guys really know how to do weddings perfectly. I couldn’t recommend them enough. If I was to do it all again I wouldn’t change a thing. Thank you xxxxx

Chloe's warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail truly made us feel at ease throughout the entire process. She went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, and her guidance during the planning stages made our vision come to life effortlessly.

Chloe and Mel organised our suppliers arrival, which meant that we felt completely relaxed on the day knowing that the fine details had been taken care of by them.

We cannot recommend East Afton Farmhouse as your wedding venue enough. The main draw for us was having the venue for 4 nights but on top of this, the venue is absolutely stunning and the team are incredible. We have had so many guests tell us how well and smooth the day went and that’s all due to the amazing team at East Afton.
We went for an all inclusive package and the team at seasoned kitchen are also just as amazing, the food was soo yummy!
We were made to feel so special, something a lot of other venues did not make us feel when visiting.
On top of this there is tapnell farm with so many activities so we really felt all our guests were able to make a holiday out of our wedding weekend if they wanted to!

Fantastic venue for our festival wedding. The team helped us to create our unique festival wedding using the whole venue and joined in the fun and vibe we wanted to create. The day was excellently planned and executed with no stress at all for us as everything was organised and pre-empted by the fantastic staff. They are easy to talk to and always available, and work very hard to realise your vision. On the day they are attentive and professional but also fun and reassuring.

From the point of booking to execution on the day, Chloe & Mel were exceptional throughout.
My now husband and I decided to book our day with 4 week’s notice which didn’t leave much time for the team at East Afton to prepare for us. We were offered quick access to their recommended suppliers, emails were responded to in quick succession and we were made to feel as though we were as important as a couple paying top money for a huge wedding when we decided to only have a small intimate ceremony.
On the day, the way James and I were made to feel was like royalty. The coordination & logistics being organised between Chloe and Mel was impeccable. Our 9 month old wasn’t having a great day with his teething and Mel was happy taking on a baby entertainment role whilst Chloe ensured we all had everything we needed to have a wonderful experience. Small touches such as bringing music outside whilst James and I were having our private photos taken which was not organised but a really thoughtful touch went a long way! Thank you so much Chloe & Mel, you’re both angels and both a huge asset to East Afton!

East Afton were incredible! They were so accommodating and made sure everything was perfect for the big day. They worked with my schedule ensuring I could come and decorate the day before and they got everything perfect! I cannot recommend East Afton Farmhouse enough! The venue was beautiful, Chloe and Mel were brilliant all the way through. No question or query was too big or silly, they handled everything wonderfully and I felt I could fully trust them with our special day. This meant we could just relax and enjoy the day. The farmhouse accommodation was outstanding and provided us with everything we needed. As family from both sides were travelling to the Island it was great to have everyone in the same place. It was great to have the freedom we did to decorate the venue and make it our own, however it really didn't need much as the venue is stunning! We got married at East Afton Farmhouse recently and every aspect of our wedding, from the first viewing to the day after the wedding was amazing! We got the inclusive small wedding package, and if you’re looking for a small, intimate venue for a hobbitcore farmhouse wedding, look no further! We saw the place twice prior to the wedding and the venue is genuinely amazing, with beautiful grounds, views of the downs and great facilities.

What really sold us on the venue was the vibe that Chloe and Mel gave us, when we met them during the viewings and checkin, we really felt we were in good hands. We used numerous local vendors on the Isle (which we highly recommend) and they already knew everyone by name! They coordinated us with West Wight Alpacas, the Island Meat Company, Island Bell Tents, Isle of Wight Registrars Office and Isle of Wight Cocktails perfectly!

The venue was so nice, with the Piglets, Snug and Bell Tent additions, we had enough accommodation for 25 of our guests. The experience was truly magical, with the big kitchen, bbq and cinema room, it was truly like having a big sleepover with all our best friends. The views of the sky both in the day and at night were spectacular. Between the gardens, different floors, balconies and the fields, we were able to even do a pre marriage scavenger hunt and had a whole room decorated to do some traditional ceremonies too!

Chloe from start to finish was incredible, with snappy response times and an answer for every question we had (neurotic groom)! She was so helpful with further recommendations and was so clear and transparent with all aspects of the wedding, from the venue decor to an inventory of cookware the main house has. She coordinated all the little things that made our wedding go so smoothly, from the cocktail fountain, to a cheeky burger lunch at the Cow to the alpaca petting session!

Mel from the moment we met her gave us an air of calm. She’s so experienced that probably any question or worry you have about the wedding day, she’s probably dealt with before. She was so thorough with our wedding timetable, on top of the announcements and made everyone feel so welcome. She sorted out our crisps, snack display, bubble wands, dried flower arrangement and loads more little details that made our wedding so beautiful.

Our guests unanimously agreed that the place allowed us to have an intimate, highly emotional and most importantly, FUN wedding! They really helped make the best day of our lives what it was. We would wholeheartedly recommend East Afton as your wedding venue. We trusted them, and got the most magical three days of our lives in return.

We celebrated our wedding on 31.08.24 and it was more than we could have wished for. The venue is incredible and the number of comments we got from our guest about how amazing it was was overwhelming. But this whole heartedly comes from the passion and effort the team at East Afton put into every detail to help pull off the weekend - Chloe and Mel are the duo you didn’t know you needed when it comes to weddings! They treat your wedding like their own and from day one we felt in safe hands with every detail met in good time and friendly communication throughout the build up.
The selling point of getting the whole venue for the full weekend as a weekend wedding meant we got to spend as much time as possible with our friends and family for the same cost you can spend for just 24 hours on the mainland. (We travelled from the mainland to have our wedding here!)
