We came to Castelvecchi with high hopes and big dreams… but also with a more modest budget than many other venues we’d looked at. The team not only made those dreams come true — they exceeded them in every way.
From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome, cared for, and truly special. Everyone — Barbara, Daniele, Sofia, Lorenzo, and the full team, as well as Giovanni, the kind and passionate owner — went above and beyond to make sure we were supported, comfortable, and able to enjoy every moment. They are all so friendly, fully proficient in English, and made communication effortless. It honestly felt like we were in the hands of people who genuinely care about making your day perfect.
The venue itself is pure magic — like a scene from a movie. The stunning views over the Chianti hills, the charming stone buildings, the peaceful, elegant garden — it feels as if you and your guests are the only people in the world. The garden for the ceremony is truly one of a kind, a perfect spot to say “I do” surrounded by nature’s purest, most intimate beauty.
The food is outstanding, a true taste of Tuscany. From the breakfast, to the aperitivo, pizza dinner and wedding dinner - it was all delicious. Lorenzo and the team even made us a round tiramisu instead of a traditional wedding cake, and it was not only at a good price and very delicious, but it looked absolutely stunning — a perfect match for the surroundings. To quote the bride “Lorenzo’s tiramisu is the best I’ve ever had”.
The wine, especially their own rich red, was a huge highlight — smooth, deep, and perfect for toasting to a new marriage.
The rooms are all different, yet effortlessly elegant and cosy, filled with charming details and a rich sense of history. The venue also has beautiful “getting ready rooms”, perfect for both the bride and groom — intimate, beautiful spaces filled with character — a wonderful start to a wonderful day.
We chose to make our own playlists and ren the speaker at Borgo Castelvecchi instead of hiring a DJ, and it turned out perfectly. The team made sure we had everything we needed, and the result was a wonderful, heartfelt celebration under the Tuscan sky.

We had our wedding at Castelcechhi across three days from Friday - Sunday on the weekend on the 20th June 2025. The whole experience, from organising the venue logistics, rooming allocations for all our guests and everything else with Daniele and Barbara to the most organised and well run delivery of the food and catering managed by Sofia has been exceptional.

We had 70 guests spend three nights with us to celebrate our wedding and it felt like a dream. The venue is absolutely stunning and we were able to use so many different areas (courtyard, front of villa, terrace party area) for every aspect of our wedding.

We had a Pizza Party for our Welcome dinner, our wedding outside under the shade of the villa and stars in the evening and a relaxed pool party and BBQ on the Sunday.

We honestly couldn't of asked for anything more from this venue, the staff are so friendly, welcoming and flexible - allowing you to really make the weekend feel like you are living in a dream and able to achieve anything you want.

The most magical weekend celebrating our wedding! We truly cannot recommend Borgo Castelvecchi enough to anyone dreaming of a Tuscan wedding. From start to finish, Barbara, Sofia, Daniele, and the entire team were warm, welcoming, and incredibly supportive with every detail.

As an English couple planning from abroad, we had limited opportunities to meet suppliers in person. The team went above and beyond, not only helping us find amazing local vendors but also managing every aspect seamlessly. Their flexibility and dedication meant that any issues were quickly resolved, and they worked tirelessly to bring our vision to life.

The venue itself is breathtaking, full of character, charm, and surrounded by stunning scenery. The winery tour was a wonderful bonus for our guests; many enjoyed it so much they even bought bottles to take home after tasting the wines throughout our celebration. The nearby village is absolutely worth a visit too; it’s quaint, picturesque, and a must-stop for ice cream and pastries at Bar Sampoli. 😍

We kicked off the weekend with a pizza party on the first night, which was an absolute hit. The team took care of everything, serving up fresh pizzas from their traditional oven, each one delicious and not short on options. The chocolate dessert pizza in particular the kids adored!

On our wedding day, everything was simply perfect. The food was outstanding, and the whole day felt relaxed and joyful, allowing us to soak in every moment with our loved ones. Barbara was amazing in the planning all the way through to delivery.

All our guests were blown away by the venue and had nothing but praise for the wonderful staff. It was a weekend we will cherish forever, and we cannot thank the team enough for making it so unforgettable.

The venue itself is beautiful, full of character and incredible scenery. The winery on tour was a great bonus for our guests who enjoyed a look around, and returned to purchase bottles to take home after enjoying it so much during our wedding day. The near by village is well worth a visit, quaint with incredible views and an absolute must to visit Bar Sampoli for their ice cream and pastries 😍

We chose to hold a pizza party on the first night. The team took care of everything. Made fresh in their original pizza oven the pizza's where incredible, and the chocolate dessert pizza went down particularly well with the kids. For our wedding day everything was seamless.

All our guests loved their stay and had nothing but compliments for the venue and the staff. It's a weekend we will never forget and can not thank you enough for making happen!

We had our wedding here on the 16th-18th of May 2025. It went amazingly, and was simply an event that we will never forget! This was thanks to the excellent and professional staff in Castelvecchi, of whom we mostly communicated with Barbara and Sofía. The food was delicious and the local wine was splendid (you know.. it's Italy!), and throughout the weekend the staff was super responsive to our many last-minute changes. Also, I have to mention we could never have done it without our wedding planner Daniela from Italiabryllup.

We got married at Borgo Castelvecchi in early May of 2025 and it was a wonderful experience. Barbara, Sofia, Lorenzo and the whole team ensured our wedding weekend went off without a hitch, from the fabulous pizza party welcome dinner to the elegant wedding ceremony, dinner, and farewell brunch. The grounds of the borgo are beautiful and the accomodations are perfect - it was so wonderful to gather all of our friends and family together in such a gorgeous, secluded place. It truly felt like a fairytale -- highly recommended.

Castevechhi was the perfect venue for us. The location, the grounds, the buildings, and the staff were all just what we wanted. Barbara was a great hostess and Sylvia managed the food so well. Chef Lorenzo made lovely meals–especially the wedding dinner! The buildings and decorations were so evocative and Italian. I believe all our guests loved the place and I know we did! The views, the plants, the hallways, and the scenery! Having our own private borgo made the wedding an amazing event for all.

We cannot rate Borgo Castelvecchi highly enough as a wedding venue.

The venue is so picturesque and peaceful. It’s private and feels like a home from home. The fact you can have the entire place for your friends and family made our whole wedding experience so special.

The rooms and apartments were all different but all elegant and with authentic Italian interior design. Whenever there were small issues with the rooms - for example, lights not working or showers not draining properly, Barbara would get it sorted within hours and made us feel like nothing was a problem.

The different areas within the venue were all perfect and there were lots of options to ensure we utilised all parts of the venue. The pool was great, the pergola area and view was exceptional and the square and villa settings were just beautiful.

The food at the restaurant was delicious across all the days of our wedding. Sofia and Lorenzo run an incredible service and could not have been more helpful with our guests dietary requirements. The staff were all friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and relaxed. The prices for drinks were also so reasonable.

Barbara has been lovely to be in contact with. She is fast to reply with helpful voicenotes, flexible with all services, very accommodating and relaxed.

We had an amazing wedding weekend at Borgo Castelvecchi. There was nothing negative we could say apart from it was over too soon and we wish we could do it all again!

We celebrated our wedding at Castelvecchi this September, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue! This amazing and authentic gem, nestled in the heart of Tuscany and surrounded by stunning wineries, stole our hearts from the very first visit. We fell in love instantly, and our hearts were full from that moment on.

The team at Castelvecchi was beyond incredible—extremely helpful, friendly, and always ready to adapt to our needs. From the beginning, they worked with us on every single detail, ensuring everything was seamless. Their dedication made our wedding day stress-free and truly magical. A special thank you to Barbara and Daniele, who were always there to manage everything with grace and flexibility, making sure everything went off without a hitch.

Sofia and her team handled the food service flawlessly. The food was absolutely delicious, and the restaurant team ensured the event ran like clockwork.

The venue itself is large and versatile, which allowed all of our guests to stay with us. This made our celebration even more special—we hosted a Pizza Party by the pool the night before the wedding and a relaxed BBQ the evening after. For an international wedding like ours, Castelvecchi was the perfect choice, giving us the opportunity to spend more time with our loved ones in the most beautiful setting.

We couldn't have chosen a better place for our wedding. The venue is beautiful, set on top of a hill with stunning views over the Tuscan wines and can hold over 100 guests in a traditional villa and romantic borgo apartments to stay for a whole weekend.
The team around Barbara, Daniele, Sophia and Lorenzo is next to perfection. Everything goes. We had a party crowd from Berlin who raved for three nights on and sometimes until late in the morning. Still we were greeted with smiles and helpfulness the next day on the market square with a tasty breakfast.
In general, the food is very very good and we were impressed by Sophia and Lorenzo how they manage all the catering.
To top this all up Daniela the go to wedding planner of the venue is simply the best. Everyone stays calm in stressful times and can be reached via WhatsApp to organize special wishes at the very last second. It is so relaxing to have the possibility of a well oiled machinery of vendors ready at site who all know each other, have already worked together and come at competitive prices.
During the day you can parties at the large pool, sit in the beautiful garden, go for a walk through the vineyards or visit the neighboring town of Radda in Chianti.

Borgo castelvecchi was the most perfect venue we could have asked for the whole team Barbara, Sofia, Danielle all went above a beyond for us! We have a fairytale wedding and they made it happen ! Our family and friends said they have never seen views like it, the food was perfection from the pizza party to the lunch and the wedding breakfast the truffle risotto was incredible and the wine was the best red I have ever had! The value for money is incredible !! They could not do enough for us! Anything we asked was no problem. They made my wedding the best day of my life and I cannot thank them and all there team enough !! We will for sure going back there for many years !

We viewed 6 venues in Tuscany before we found Castelvecchi and we are so so glad that we did! The venue and location are stunning, but the reality of our wedding weekend exceeded our expectations exponentially

We had 102 guests but it still felt cost and intimate. The on site team were phenomenal. All the preparation took place around us seamlessly. Nothing was too much hassle, even a few last minute changes were accomodated and adapted to without fuss.

The villa is a stunning location for the wedding breakfast, whilst the borgo square was a warm and welcoming setting for the other meals. The pool was an awesome size for everyone to celebrate at a post wedding pool party with us, and the team even created a bar and served lunch for us all at the pool.

The surrounding vines and valleys provide a tranquil setting as well as a show stopping backdrop for our wedding pictures.

We couldn’t recommend it highly enough to anyone looking for a beautiful spot for their Tuscan wedding.

The venue is very beautiful and charming. Good wines, and the food is amazing. Very friendly staff as well. We had pizza party and wine tasting on Friday. The pool was used a lot by all the guests. We got married in August 2024, and we had 65 guests. The whole weekend was perfect! This is the perfect location, you don’t have to look further 😍

Our experience getting married at Borgo Castelvecchi was a dream! Barbara, Daniele, Sofia, Lorenzo, and all the staff were incredible. The accommodations, food, and service could not have been better. They all spent so much time and effort helping us plan and organize everything from a distance. They were friendly, quick to respond to emails and calls, and went above and beyond to help organize transportation for our guests and coordinate with other suppliers. I could not recommend getting married here enough! We wish that we could relive it all over again!
