We planned and had our wedding in Castelvecchi on Sep 9th, 2023 - around 55 guests from different parts of the world.

Barbara and her team made the stay for us and our guests to be super pleasant, easy and extremely comfortable. The flexibility was so good! No dramas or disappointments with last minute change of plans and/or re-arrangements.

We had our wedding on 25th July 2023 at Castelvecchi. For the preparation I talk/apped with Barbara and Lorenzo (restaurant) , everything went so easy, no problem they said and they arranged everything. Very beautiful location. The place to be for your wedding. Ti amo staff and owner Gianni.

We live in the United States and had a destination wedding at Borgo Castelvecchi in September 2022, and it was absolutely amazing as a wedding venue that we highly recommend!

We loved our experience here and wouldn’t have changed anything. It’s a great option for couples coming from America who want to give their guests an unforgettable and authentic Tuscan wedding experience, and we found it to be an incredible value relative to what we see in the United States. The property is huge with ample space to craft your own wedding experience, and the fact that so many guests can stay onsite and enjoy a full weekend with you made the destination wedding experience extremely special and unique.

We had an 80-person wedding and the venue was perfect for that size. All of our close friends (~65 people) stayed in the hotel rooms on the property and loved their accommodations as each room is charmingly Tuscan and completely unique. There was a great mix of individual rooms and apartment-style rooms, and having all of our friends onsite with us made for a truly special weekend where all of our best friends got to spend so much quality time together and with us.

Our family members stayed in Radda, the small town a ~10 minute drive from the venue which they absolutely loved. And it was easy to arrange shuttle transportation for guests staying offsite to and from the venue through the team at Castelvecchi.

The property itself is beautiful, located on top of a hill with panoramic views of the stunning Tuscan countryside making for a beautiful scene when guests arrived. All of our guests said it was a breathtaking drive, were immediately charmed with the venue, and were able to quickly get settled upon arrival and head to the beautiful pool/garden area to relax after checking in.

We held our welcome party in the main square which was the perfect place for a casual and free-flowing welcome event that helped everyone ease into the wedding weekend. The following day, we held our ceremony in front of the 17th century villa which was an incredible backdrop to get the wedding started, followed by an aperitif in the main borgo square. Our dinner was held under the portico attached to the villa with two long tables that sat our 80 guests, followed by dancing under the portico and a late night party in the room attached to the portico. Each location was perfectly suited for each stage of the wedding.

The Castelvecchi staff were incredible! It rained all morning the day of our wedding and they worked seamlessly with our planner to adjust plans in real time to ensure we had contingencies in place should the rain continue. It rained long enough that we had to shift to some of our backup plans, but they were able to keep everything outside regardless and once the rain stopped helped ensure that everything came together beautifully.

Vittorio and his hospitality team were amazing - delivering incredible food and wine throughout the weekend from snacks to the main dinner. And Barbara who manages the rooms was a wonderful host who ensured everyone got into the proper rooms without issue and was able to check out late on Sunday if needed. Every staff member was incredibly nice, friendly, and attentive. They worked with us and our planning team to really make the space ours for the weekend and did so in a low-stress, easygoing way.

We had our wedding for 90 guests in July 2022 and could not have asked for a better venue. Castelvecchi is the most magical place to get married.
During preparations Barbara was responsive, organized and brilliant to work with. She knows the venue and suppliers extremely well and went above and beyond for us on our special day. Barbara helped us contact suppliers including our florist, photographer and cake supplier. We could not have had the perfect day without Barbara and will be forever grateful to her for all of her hard work and dedication to making everything run smoothly. The restaurant team, Vittorio, Lorenzo and Sofia are also one of a kind. The food and wine across our 3-days of wedding celebrations were superb. Lorenzo is an exceptionally talented chef and makes the best tiramisu in Italy. The restaurant staff were kind and friendly, whilst ensuring everything went as planned. These four people (Barbara, Lorenzo, Sofia and Vittorio) made our special wedding weekend the best experience of our lives and were wonderful to work with. We cannot recommend this venue more - it is unique and so special. Thank you Castelvecchi!

We celebrated our wedding 5 years ago at Castelvecchi. It was an amazing weekend which we and our friends & family will never forget. Starting from the pizza party on Friday night, pool parties during the day, the fact that the entire wedding party was able to sleep at the location, to the friendly staff from Castelvecchi. Everything was a highlight.

We had our perfect dream wedding at Borgo Castelvecchi in september! We rented the whole Borgo for the weekend and had all guests staying there. The rooms were very clean and nice. Barbara was so responsive, helpful and serviceminded.

We kicked the wedding weekend off with pizzaparty the night before the wedding which was so great. We had the wedding ceremony in the garden, and appertivo, and then the wedding reception in front of the Borgo which was perfect! The food was also amazing the whole weekend, and you can't find a more perfect scenery to have a wedding.

Highly recommend Castelvecchi! We're a couple from Holland and both working in the event industry. We worked with a lot of suppliers, but Castelvecchi is outstanding.
They're reliable and very flexible. In the meanwhile they're still typical Italian, as a foreigner you can't get it any more like Italy during your wedding!
The food is outstanding and the prices are fair.
They're cooperative by choosing suppliers, always friendly and helpful.

When we first visited Borgo Castelvecchi, we fell in love. The history of the winery, the views of the place and the kindness of the staff made it the perfect place. It also was great for the value of money compared to other locations within Tuscany.

Our guests have nothing but great things to say about the Borgo Castelvecchi. They had such a great time and enjoyed taking pictures in the many beautiful, picturesque areas within the borgo/villa.

The services that the staff provided was amazing too! Barbara was very accommodating with all of our requests and Lorenzo, the chef made such excellent food. They went above and beyond to help us put together our dream wedding.

Most amazing hosts Barbara, Sophie and Lorenzo made our wedding unforgettable. Thought along with us from the moment we started planning until the day we left after our wedding. Truly an amazing experience and would recommend this venue to anyone that want a perfect wedding!!!

Wonderful location in the middle of the Chianti region. An Idyllic place among tuscan hills.

We would give 5 stars 100 times over. Amazing wedding venue and staff! We had been planning this wedding since pre-Covid. Barbara and Vittorio have been so helpful throughout and kept us at ease the whole way through.

They helped deliver to us and our guests a celebration of a lifetime. Guests are still talking about how much they enjoyed themselves and we can’t wait to come back for our anniversary!

At this point again a big thank you to the whole team of Castelvecchi. We had a dream wedding in this dream location. If we were faced with the decision again, we would do everything exactly the same. My husband and I are from Germany and had a church wedding. Despite the distance, everything worked out really well. You can absolutely rely on the recommendations and statements of the team.
The facility is beautiful. The food (whether pizza party or wedding dinner) is super delicious. It was an unforgettable experience for us and our guests.
