For your wedding breakfast, we can create delicious menus, tailored to meet your every need and reflect your personal tastes. My Perfect Day!

Bannatyne Hotel Darlington was an absolute no brainer when it came to picking a venue for our wedding! The location was perfect for us with all of our family living locally meaning we didn’t need to worry about transport. The venue itself gives a nice mix of both modern and timeless vibes which was exactly what we were looking for! Communication with the hotel was brilliant; as a bride with ADHD I had a million questions and needed to triple check everything which the staff were more than accommodating with. Working with the events team helped the big day come together so smoothly, any and all requests were fulfilled without hesitation. I want to say an extra special thank you to Joshua, who was the main man on our wedding day and allowed me to finally relax knowing all of the important matters were in his hands. He contacted the vendors for me the night before for extra reassurance and worked alongside all of my table plans and set up ideas to help create the most amazing, breath taking venue. He even came to the rescue at midnight when my new husband and I had locked ourselves out of the bridal suite! 🙈 overall, I could not recommend the hotel and their staff enough

Kipling wedding

When we planned our wedding, we absolutely loved how beautiful bannatynes hotel is and the garden, it was so close to the church where we got married, so location was perfect.

We went with there wedding package and was really happy with what we got for our money, even some of the things on there we did not require, so they took some of the cost off

The communication with the new events team was brilliant from start to finish (thankyou josh), they helped us and listened to everything we wanted, we explained how we wanted the lay out of the room and they were brilliant with sorting this and making our room as we wanted, it was a smooth process for the room change over from having wedding breakfast to the night time.

Overall we would highly recommend bannatynes, brilliant service, nice hotel and very helpful

Perfect Wedding

We had our wedding at Bannatyne Hotel Darlington on 31st July 2026, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day.

From start to finish, the staff were absolutely amazing. The attention to detail was exceptional, the food was fantastic, and everything ran smoothly and exactly as we had hoped. Nothing was too much trouble, and the whole team went above and beyond to make our day so special.

A special shout-out to Josh, our wedding coordinator, who was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. He was attentive, supportive and made sure every little detail was taken care of, which gave us complete peace of mind throughout the planning and on the day itself.

Everything went perfectly, and we couldn’t be happier with our wedding at Bannatyne Hotel Darlington. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect wedding venue and a team who genuinely care about making your day unforgettable.

Wow - what a venue!

Where do I start with Bannatyne’s? From the very first meeting to picking up the last guests today! Nicole and team have just been incredible. We had to change venues, and as soon as we met with Nicole she offered us support and help with everything straight away! We chose the platinum package and we were not disappointed! Having booked out the majority of the rooms, we were basically given exclusivity of the hotel, even though other guests were staying there, they became apart of our wedding party! I have to shout out all of the staff at Bannatynes! From checking in with us, to joining in with games and the conga - you all kept our guests entertained throughout the whole stay! From my husband and I, we would like to say a huge thank you ❤️

Wonderful

To Jade, Alex, Andrew and the rest of the team

Thank you so much for looking after us so well. From the very beginning everything has been so professional and we have felt confident that everything would be perfect on our special day - and it was!

Attention to detail

Dear Andrea & Jade
We would like to thank you both so much for the effort that was made into making Catherine and Andrew's wedding evening so special. The attention to detail was amazing, we loved the flowers and the food was lovely. Andrea, you were incredible on the actual evening, working tirelessly in the background to make everything perfect, and it was. Would definitely recommend, thank you so much.

Excellent service

Excellent service from the first enquiry right through to us checking out. What more can I say, nothing was a problem to the staff from the smallest detail right through to ensuring that they took the strain on the day (not that there was any as they were there checking all went smoothly). The food was excellent, all our guests have commented on the fabulous food and fantastic portion size. Every member of staff deserves recognition for how special they made us feel. Choice at breakfast was fantastic - something for everyone and if it wasn't out for you they did their best to get it for you. Duncan Bannatyne you should be very proud of your staff - they are a fantastic bunch of people who helped to make our wedding very special. Thank you all very much.

We cannot recommend this Hotel highly enough

We recently got married at this venue and have to say how amazing all of the team are. We were made to feel like we the only couple getting married there this year and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. All of the staff worked so hard to make sure our day was perfect for us. The rooms are lovely and the food has always been fantastic every time we have been and they certainly pulled it out of the bag on our wedding day. The roast beef was to die for. We had so many lovely comments from our guests about the wedding breakfast food and also the evening buffet too and how lovely and helpful all the staff are. We cannot recommend this Hotel highly enough. You are a credit to yourselves and to Lucy the lovely manager. We can't wait to see you all again soon.

Ideal wedding reception

After getting married abroad, my new wife and I recently returned home and enjoyed the ideal wedding reception at Bannatynes Hotel in Darlington. We stayed for 2 nights in a very nice deluxe room, and hosted a reception for 50 people on the Sunday afternoon and evening in the Wilbur Suite. This had been planned for some time, with the help of wedding coordinator Jade. The reception went like clockwork, and well run by the very efficient supervisor Alex. Our 3 course meal was top quality, and thoroughly enjoyed by our guests, many of which also enjoyed staying overnight in the hotel. All of the staff that we met were friendly and welcoming. This is a well ran, lovely hotel in a good location in our opinion. Overall an excellent wedding reception, and a perfect weekend. We would certainly recommend Bannatynes for similar events!

The whole day ran so smoothly

We have always enjoyed fabulous meals & friendly service at Bannatynes, Darlington. It wasn't a difficult decision to have our wedding at the hotel. The day was perfect from start to finish, the venue looked amazing, hotel was spotless, staff were extremely helpful and friendly as usual and everyone commented on the fabulous food. We couldn't have asked anything more. The whole day ran so smoothly, due to the highly professional staff and impeccable planning from the hotel. All our guests have commented it was the best wedding they have ever attended. Overall feedback was they didn't like to call the Bannatynes team 'staff', as it felt like being with friends.

Fantastic

Please can I thank the team at Bannatynes for providing an outstanding service to me and my groom and our guests for our wedding venue. Receptionists (sorry I cannot remember your names) were fantastic. Jade event organiser and our toast master Alex were just fantastic as well. My day went perfectly smoothly. The food was delivered to my guests expertly and it was piping hot. Nothing was too much trouble for the team, and they helped me with any request or query that met us on the day. We were attended too and nothing was too much trouble for Bannatynes amazing team, so just want to say we can recommend Bannatynes of you are thinking of a wedding venue in Darlington I can strongly recommend Bannatynes to deliver the perfect day.

Amazing

I cannot emphasise how amazing our day was. The planning of the day was made so easy thanks to Jade. Her ideas and helpful input really helped us plan our perfect day. The day ran so smoothly thanks to Alex, our toastmaster and Lucy, the general manager. All of our guests have commented on the food, the staff and the surroundings and how fantastic they all were.

We had the best day ever thank you all so much

We got married here on 20th June and i could write an essay on here about how amazing the staff are! From booking right through to the day was faultless Jade and Alex are brilliant at keeping everything to plan and we had the most amazing day - but as well as Alex keeping us right on the day all the staff be it reception bar or waiting were brilliant.

Perfect wedding

I don't know where to even start to try to explain just how amazing the hotel and the staff were for my wedding (they always are amazing mind as I've visited the hotel many a time). They provided myself and my Husband with the most perfect wedding that was beyond even our dreams. The grounds are stunning for photographs both inside and out. The food was faultless and all of our guests commented on the quality. I just cannot fault it at all and it is a day we will treasure, for the rest of our lives. Thanks to each and every member of staff who played a part in our day.
