#LoveIsNotCancelled: Win a £100 John Lewis Voucher for Global Love Day

Celebrate Global Love Day on 1st May and you could win a £100 John Lewis voucher!

This Friday, the 1st of May, is Global Love Day. Love is what brings our world together and, right now, the greatest thing that you can do is to let people know that you’re thinking of them and send them your love. Even in the darkest of times, love is what unites us and makes us stronger.

Here at Hitched we want you provide you with inspiration and resources that you can share with your clients, colleagues and the rest of the wedding community to continue to spread this message – which, now more than ever, is so important.

We are continually working together to drive a wedding network that is positive, collaborative and supports one another. We are all in this together and we want the wedding community to join us in celebrating this special day and remembering that #LoveIsNotCancelled.

You’ll find a range of inspiring messages you can share across your social media site, as well as some tips below for ways you can share the love with your couples. And, of course, we’re giving you the chance to win a £100 John Lewis voucher as a thank you from Hitched – keep scrolling on down.

Three Easy Ways to Show Your Couples Some Love

1. Send a thank you note for supporting your small business. This is a tried-and-tested way to show your appreciation and your couples will love an email from you saying you’re so excited to celebrate with them when their day comes. Personalised notes take it the extra mile, so try mentioning something specific like their venue or their order with you. You’ll inspire so much goodwill towards your business and your kindness will make them recommend you to friends in the future.

2. Choose a ‘couple of the week’. Should have been doing the flowers for Ben and Laura’s wedding this Saturday? Perhaps you can share a photo of them on your social media with a little thank you to them for being so great to work with and some inspiration pictures of what you were planning to create for them. It’ll build up the couple’s anticipation and make them feel extra special to know you’re thinking of them.

3. Give a charitable gift in their honour. This depends on your company’s financial situation during this difficult period, but if there’s anyway you can give back to your couples and charity, you’ll earn lots of love. If you’re a cake maker or caterer, could you make some food for a local hospital or homeless charity and donate it in their names? As a photographer, could you offer to do a free engagement shoot for a key worker in the future to reciprocate the support your couples have given you?

Don’t forget to show the love to your fellow small businesses too. If you work with a great venue or supplier regularly, how about doing a post to promote them? Use your platform to shine a spotlight on the great work they do, and they’re likely to do it back. You both get some love, are seen by new couples, and get to say thank you.

As part of Global Love Day, we want to continue to spread the love and give you the chance to win a £100 John Lewis voucher!
