Hey, I’m Lloyd 👋
I’m the photographer behind Weddings by LAJ and I’m based in Warrington, Cheshire.
I’ve been photographing weddings for over 14 years, all across the North West, the Lake District and North Wales, and I still genuinely love it. Photography has never felt like “just a job” to me. It’s always been about people, stories and moments, and weddings just happen to be full of them.
My style is relaxed, natural and documentary. I focus on what’s really happening rather than staging things. The nerves in the morning, the quiet glances, the laughs, the moments you didn’t even realise were happening. I blend in, observe and tell the story of your day as it naturally unfolds.
I won’t have you posing all day. The only time I’ll gently step in is during your couple photos and for group shots, and even then I keep things easy and unforced. Most of the time, you’ll forget I’m there.
I’ve been lucky to work with so many brilliant couples over the years. While I’m still building reviews here on Hitched, you’ll find plenty of real feedback from past couples over on my Facebook page. I’m also always happy to share a full wedding gallery so you can see exactly how I photograph a day from start to finish.
When I’m not photographing weddings, I also work with the media team at Wrexham Football Club, so I’m very used to capturing fast-moving, real moments as they happen.
Services Offered
I’m very hands-on on a wedding day, in the best way. I’ll be calm when things feel busy, step in with direction when it helps, and happily lend a hand if something needs sorting. I’ve steamed dresses, entertained children, pinned buttonholes and generally been an extra pair of steady hands more times than I can count.
On the day, you don’t need to worry about me. I’ve done this a lot and I’ve got your back. My aim is to help everything feel as relaxed and stress-free as possible so you can just enjoy it.
I offer full-day, half-day and bespoke packages to suit different plans and budgets.
Full-Day Package Includes
• A pre-wedding meeting so we can chat through your plans
• Full-day coverage from bridal prep through to after the first dance and cake cut
• A minimum of 500 carefully edited, high-resolution images in my signature style
• A private online gallery for easy downloading and sharing

Amazing photographer!
From start to finish we had such a laugh, he was such a joy to be around and everyone including ourselves felt so relaxed to have him around which definitely helped with the nerves!
