Hey, I’m Pete—the guy behind the camera at Sussex Media, and if you’re looking for a wedding photographer who’s more like a fun, camera-wielding guest than a bossy stranger barking orders, then we might just be a perfect match!
I've been a pro for 13 years, but I am new here on Hitched, so feel free to message me for more information.
I believe wedding photography should feel effortless, fun, and full of life. No awkward, stiff poses here—just real laughter, happy tears, and maybe a piggyback ride or two (seriously, it happens!). I like to keep things moving, which means instead of making you stand still, feeling more and more like a mannequin, I encourage natural movements—walking, leaning, giggling, twirling...nothing too tricky!
Based in East Sussex, I cover weddings across the South East (and beyond!). I’ve even been lucky enough to shoot in Italy and the South of France—oh, and did I mention that one time I flew in a helicopter with a bride and groom? Epic!
I offer packages depending on how much coverage you require:
Aisle be there | 2 hours - £400
Short & Sweet | 4 hours - £700
Big Day, Big Deal | 8 hours - £1200
Bells & Whistles | 12 hours - £1500

How far in advance should I contact you?
The sooner the better, I am already booking 2 years in advance but I do also have gaps so it's always worth dropping me a message!
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

What is the charge for travelling?
It depends on the distance required and the package you choose!

Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach?
I like to keep things fairly simple, be fun and focus on natural expressions!
For my couples, I use flow posing which just keeps us walking, talking, kissing and twirling for great images!
What kind of equipment do you use?
All of my gear is super high end, I use Sony cameras and a selection of Sony and Tamron Lenses.
I like to also use Godox Lighting and Magmod softboxes when the natural light needs a bit of help!

I always try to get you back to enjoy your day as much as possible! It's a once in a lifetime event and I don't want you to miss it! I scout out locations ahead of time to keep things speedy!

Fantastic photographer!
Pete was absolutely amazing during our wedding day, not only did he capture the day in the most stunning way, but his energy was incredible. We felt so relaxed around him from the moment he arrived, and he made the whole experience feel natural, fun, and completely effortless.
He captured everything exactly how we wanted, didn’t miss a single important moment, and somehow managed to be everywhere without ever feeling intrusive. He made us laugh, put us at ease in front of the camera, and brought such a positive presence to the day. All of our friends and family commented on how brilliant he was and how comfortable he made everyone feel.
The final photos are honestly better than we ever could have hoped for. We couldn’t recommend Pete more highly to any couple looking for a photographer who is not only incredibly talented, but also a genuine pleasure to have with you on such an important day.

Wedding photography
Pete was the most amazing photographer for our wedding day! He really put us at ease and made it feel so natural and not awkward. He captured so many amazing photos and some of which we didn’t realise he got so it was so magical to see them when we got them! We would highly recommend Pete for any photo shoot and we will certainly be using him again in the future!

Absolute dream photographer
Pete was our absolute dream photographer! He was so chill and friendly and all of our guests commented what a lovely guy he is! The photos are absolutely perfect - they are just what we envisaged and more! He even got them back to us within 48 hours 🥹 and the quality, colours, tones and the way he managed to capture fleeting moments is just magical. I would 100% recommend using him for any event - any wedding or other celebration. You will not be disappointed!

We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better photographer! From the moment he arrived, he fit in so naturally with all of our guests, it felt like he was part of the celebration rather than someone we had just hired. Pete is friendly, funny, and made us feel completely at ease throughout the whole day.

Outstanding Photographer and someone you want with you on the day!
Pete was more than fantastic, quick to respond and guided us through the plan for the day. He was flexible and offered a great package and went over and above to meet our needs. We were looking for natural, fun and relaxed and Pete exceeded all our expectations. He captured the emotion and feeling so beautifully and the photos are incredible and completely tell the story of our day. Pete has a wonderful personality, approach and we absolutely love his style. On our wedding day Pete blended in so well, he took hundreds of photos that were thoughtful, carefully angled and covered all the most important moments. Neither myself or my husband are particularly comfortable being photographed, but Pete made us feel at ease and made it fun. We feel absolutely privileged to have had him as our photographer for the day, it such an important role and he did it beautifully. He's a great person, so genuine, provides an outstanding service and the best photographs. Thank you Pete, we would 110% recommend him for your special day.

Amazing experience with Sussex Media!
I cannot recommend Pete highly enough. He was one of the few vendors I found who was flexible enough to offer a shorter package, and at an extremely reasonable price. He even offered to stay on 15 minutes at no extra cost to give us some time for photos with just the two of us.
He was so friendly on the day, to the extent that guests commented on how lovely he was. He put us at ease, and in just a couple of hours managed to get such a range of wonderful photos of us and our guests. I could not be happier :) Thank you so much Pete for adding to our day!

The best!
I wish I could give Pete 6 stars - he was honestly the best photographer and such a positive, energetic addition to our wedding day. From the very beginning, Pete was so easy and great to communicate with - nothing was an issue. Then on the day he slotted in, had big smiles and was so encouraging to everyone he spoke to. We were pretty blown away by the content that came back - he captured our day so beautifully we couldn't have asked for anything better. Thank you so so much Pete - we are so tempted to get married again just to spend the day with you!!

Someone that cares!
Pete went above and beyond for us on out special day. He already had an event booked for the evening but offered his services for the day and even stayed later to capture our speeches. All our guest commented how at ease they felt with Pete and that he wasn't demanding of getting pictures. He really listened to us when we asked for mainly candid pictures throughout the day but still did the pictures we asked for, with a list provided. It was such a smooth and easy booking. I would highly recommend Pete for your wedding as he truly listens and truly cares. He captures moments that you wouldn't even of thought of and his work shows what a happy and incredible day it was.

Beautiful wedding photos
Wow wow wow! We are so happy we managed to book Sussex Media Design for our wedding photos, it was quite a last minute wedding but Pete made the whole process so simple and stress free. On the day of the wedding Pete arrived and got stuck in straight away! All our guests have said how relaxed and cheerful Pete was and how comfortable he made everyone feel. We absolutely are blown away by our photos as neither of us really like our picture being taken so we were worried how they would turn out- but we love them!! and cannot stop going through them! We have beautiful photos to cherish for the rest of our lives and cannot thank Pete enough for capturing our special day.

Couldn’t have been better
Pete was exactly the photographer we were looking for. From the outset he understood what we wanted and delivered exactly that. We didn’t want a lengthy session of formal photos, just pictures which would capture each moment. For the few more formal pictures, he made us feel at ease and the whole experience was just what we asked for. Highly recommended, great value for money and Pete was a lovely guy.

Made our day so perfect!
We had the most brilliant experience with Pete from Sussex Media Design. He came to photograph our very small intimate Civil Partnership Ceremony and was so friendly, fun and made us feel so comfortable on the day. The package option was ideal for what we needed for just a few hours over the period of the ceremony. We received the photos back really quickly and we absolutely love them! We could not recommend Pete and Sussex Media Design more!!

Fabulous photographer!
Fabulous photographer- cannot recommend enough.
I contacted Pete last minute for our small ceremony at the town hall in Eastbourne and we were so lucky to have him! It was a dream working with him from start to finish. We were only looking for a few photos to mark our day but the images he came back to us with (in super time I might add) were beautiful: the quality, the little moments he caught on film, the style- it was all fantastic and he was so easy going and friendly it just helped to keep the day running smoothly.
