We actually found Ryan on the Alt Wedding Directory site and immediately adored his style. Sophie really wanted a photographer who did more than just the normal “everyone stand still and smile” shots, both for the art side of it, and because I hate having my photo taken so having somebody that could put us at ease was important. Ryan was immediately that from the first zoom call. We looked up his social media and were laughing our heads off at his content, so we knew we needed to book him.
We were both quite nervous and awkward initially on Zoom but Ryan immediately helped alleviate that, so by the time we met at the wedding it was more like meeting a friend than awkwardly saying hi to somebody you didn’t know. We actually got a few comments throughout the day that people actually thought we’d just asked our friend to take photos because we got along so well!
Ryan was already at the venue when we got there, and managed to photograph the last touches of getting ready, as well as our first look. He immediately blended in with everyone, getting several laughs out of my sister and mother(the latter was a feat in itself!) and making everyone so relaxed for all of the photos. My mum’s a bit like me and are both very awkward about having photos taken, but Ryan actually took us aside after hearing my mum ask for a selfie and took some amazing photos of the two of us -my mum looks so happy and relaxed and they're now her background on multiple things so, emotional all round and gorgeous photos!

We honestly can’t thank Ryan enough for all his hard work over the day, his photos were perfect and complimented the overall spooky-ish vibe of our halloween wedding - especially when we presented a sword and just said “wanna take some photos with a sword”. The quality of his work and speed of the turnaround of both the previews and the full album was insanely fast as well.
So absolutely hire Ryan, he’s absolutely the funniest and kindest person we’ve met across the whole wedding planning process, and his photos are amazing!

Ok! I am doing this. It’s taken me a while to write this review, because honestly I needed to find the right words, to do Ryan justice.
When I was looking for a Wedding photographer, I searched terms such as “unique” “cool” “northern” “east riding” And then Ryan was the first one to appear and I Just KNEW he was our guy especially when I started to deep dive on his reels. I was in hysterics and showing all my co workers, friends and obviously at the time fiancée.
Ryan possesses something so acutely wonderful, it’s not just his work which even after my wedding, I still look at our pictures daily and the other weddings he has done.. It’s not just he loves his family so much which I think brings a clear and loving narrative to his work.. it’s just the man is a great human who is genuine & passionate about what he does. It’s hard not to want Ryan to actually be your friend & during our wedding day, people at times assumed he was for the share personality and hilarious nature he has… Also, he let me text him about MAFSAU and well… you have to like a person that is happy to also respond on that…

We cannot recommend Ryan enough. He caught moments that I didn’t even think he would; during the ceremony I cannot even remember seeing him, but the photo’s a tear jerkingly perfect. He caught all the emosh and feels and it’s just so lovely to know that we can recapture that incredible day by going through his photos. It’s worth noting that we also asked Ryan to do a Super 8 recording. If you haven’t watched yourself to a soundtrack of your favourites songs in this incredible way, you simply should…Ryan isn’t all “quirk” and such, we had traditional photo’s done on the day and Sam and I never felt “positioned” or rigid or herded around like cows.. it’s easy, effortless and fun.

I cannot recommend Shutter Go Click enough… and like myself, and my friends on the day… we all want to be his friend since… that has to show you what a “unique”.. “cool” kind of guy he is…

We knew that we wanted to book Ryan (Shutter Go Click) for our wedding as soon as we got engaged, and we are so glad that we did!
Before the wedding, we also booked an 'engagement shoot' which made us feel much less nervous and was lots of fun.
Ryan was great at responding in the run up to the wedding. He is really friendly and was able to put us and our guests at ease on the day.
We received previews a few days later and the full album sooner than expected, and every picture is brilliant.
Ryan is very talented and documented the whole day with an amazing set of photos which we are so happy with. Thanks Ryan :)
