My dedication to my clients extends to being your hype women if the pre-wedding nerves start to kick in, timekeeping to ensure you get all of those special shots, and overall looking out for any outfit, hair or makeup malfunctions that may have happen throughout the day. I even helped a bride of mine sew her dress back together after one of the straps had snapped. The bride looked at me in pure panic and said ‘what do I do?’ I acted fast and got my sewing kit out that I keep with me just in case of an emergency like this!

Moments like these really remind me of the importance of going above and beyond for my clients. It’s hard to think of yourself as ‘just’ as a photographer when you’re one of the people who spend the most time with the couple on their wedding. Because of this close bond I form with my couples throughout the day, clients feel comfortable to ask for tips regarding poses, confide in me about their worries, and guest dynamics which overall gives me a deeper insight into how I can create the perfect album for them.

With years of experience, I’ve learned to anticipate these moments before they even happen. I’m quick and instinctive with my camera settings, always ready so nothing meaningful is missed. And, as I've heard many mothers say, I swear I have eyes in the back of my head-I’m constantly scanning the room, quietly alert in the background like a meerkat, ready to capture anything anytime.

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?

The secret to a great photograph is connection and authenticity. Beautiful images aren’t just about perfect lighting or technical settings- they’re about capturing who you truly are. When there’s a real connection between the photographer and the couple, people naturally relax, open up, and allow their genuine personalities to shine through.

I don’t want your photos to look like anyone else’s wedding. I want them to feel unmistakably you. Whether that means playful, romantic, quiet, wild, or anything in between, my goal is to create a space where you can be completely yourselves. When you feel comfortable and seen, the moments unfold naturally - and that’s when the magic happens.

What do you love most about your job?

I love that I get to tell people’s stories. When I was a child visiting my grandparents’ home, they had photos lining the staircase - generations of wedding pictures that told the story of our family. I was always captivated by that. Being able to preserve those moments forever, for us to look back on, feels like such a gift.

Over the years, I’ve had families reach out long after their weddings—as their families grow - asking for newborn sessions, family photos, and sharing referrals. I get to see them at different milestones and even at thier friends weddings. Being welcomed into so many chapters of their lives is incredibly special.
