I’m Jon, a Kent wedding photographer specialising in relaxed documentary coverage. Instead of turning your wedding into a photoshoot, I capture the day as it actually happens. Real moments, real reactions, and the story of your wedding unfolding naturally.
You won’t spend hours being posed or pulled away from your guests. Group photos are organised quickly and calmly, then the rest of the day is yours to enjoy while I document everything happening around you.
Before launching Jon Snapaway Photography I spent years photographing weddings with Blushing Bride Photography, working alongside Lee. That experience taught me how to stay calm under pressure, keep the day running smoothly, and know when to step in with guidance and when to quietly step back.

The Wedding day arrived, and Jon was there in the morning to capture some shots, and he also stayed throughout the evening to capture our dance and some last photos of us and the guests. It was a long day for Jon and us and our guests could see how hard he worked, and we are incredibly grateful that we found Jon.
There are not enough words for me to describe how great he was, and the images he captured of us on our day were incredible. I cannot recommend Jon enough, and anyone who hires him will not regret their decision. Brilliant.

We had loads of communication before the big day and Jon was really accommodating with taking on board requests for particular images above and beyond our agreed package for the day ☺️ He was great at rallying everyone together for our group images and had such high energy throughout the whole day... I’m Jon, a documentary wedding photographer who keeps things relaxed and real. Couples often say I’m calm, easy to get on with, and never in the way. I don’t force moments or turn your wedding into a photoshoot. I blend in, read the room, and capture what’s actually happening, the laughter, the emotion, and all the in between moments people don’t even realise are there.
My style is clean, natural and honest. Good light, strong composition and real storytelling without heavy editing or trends that date. The goal is simple, photographs that still feel right years from now.
Most of my couples say having me around feels easy, and that matters just as much as the photos. Great images, a relaxed presence, and a day that never feels staged.
