We first met Jamie at Chester Racecourse, we walked past his stand and immediately loved his photographs! Me and dan approached him and Jamie greeted us so warmly and we knew instantly, this is our photographer. Jamie’s style is so naturally beautiful that we knew it would go with our day perfectly.
We had a pre wedding shoot before our big day, and honestly it was such a lovely part of our package. We got to work with Jamie and got to know how our day will go. Every email and meeting meant we knew what to expect and it made our whole process quite relaxing.
Me and dan had such a blast, we were laughing constantly, and sometimes we didn’t even know photographs were being taken. We felt so relaxed, that Jamie captured our natural emotions perfectly. Every time we look at the photos we feel exactly how we felt in that moment.
Everyone loves our photographs and they’re already printed and put around our home! We smile at them all the time.

We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer than Jamie for our wedding day. From the very beginning, he was communicative, professional, and full of enthusiasm, making the whole process seamless. On the day itself, he went above and beyond—not just capturing the big moments, but also the hidden, candid ones that truly reflect the joy and laughter we shared with our loved ones.

Jamie has an incredible eye for detail, and the way he documented our wedding party and those in-between moments was nothing short of perfect. Many of our guests even mentioned how hard he worked throughout the day and the care he put into capturing each moment.

He delivered our preview photos quickly, kept us updated throughout the editing process, and was more than happy to accommodate our extra requests once the final gallery was ready.

Jamie was absolutely brilliant throughout. His attention to detail is spot on. He took some fantastic photos during our wedding pre shoot, with two crazy springer spaniels exploring the woods and lots of outfit changes. He accommodated our wants and wishes throughout and made us feel at ease. He spent his time getting to know us which was nice and reassuring. During the wedding meeting, in the pub with a pint, Jamie listened to all our crazy tik tok inspirations and was realistic with lighting and other factors that could’ve affected the quality of the photos.

On the wedding day, it was a bit all over the place with timings which was mainly as a result of the horrendous, non-stop rain that we had. He even offered to take all the boys down to the church which he didn’t have to. We really wanted to do some sneaky shots which we were all looking forward to but he ensured we got ALL of our other wishes and wants! He was great. He regularly checked in with us throughout the day and on a few instances had to think quickly on his feet and be flexible and adaptable. He captured some shots that we will remember and treasure for a long, long time.
We had such a fun, chilled day and this was because of Jamie’s calm attitude, his participation within our antics and his determined personality! Thankyou so much! We want to get married again with your picture taking but just with better weather.

We hired Jamie for our wedding on the 26/10/2024 at a very affordable price. Throughout the whole process Jamie was very attentive to our wants and his planning was meticulous. As well as an initial meeting we also had an afternoon at the venue where we discussed how he was going to achieve the photos that we wanted from the occasion. On the actual day he was fantastic and his communication was spot on. He was never intrusive but still managed to get an array of beautiful shots as well as the formal posed shots we asked for. We could not have asked for a better experience and we would reccommend Jamie for any big day. The end results were absolutely magnificent but we knew they were going to be anyway from the vast array of his work already online to see. Jamie is your guy when it comes to getting the memories preserved on any big occasion.

Jamie was brilliant from the first contact to us receiving our final gallery! He made us feel so comfortable throughout, and it was like having a friend there!

On the day of the wedding, he arrived early to do his preparations and some reconnaissance . Jamie stayed much later than we’d expected too. He was very professional but thoroughly friendly throughout the day. We barely noticed he was there at times, as he took his shots candidly, to capture the most natural of moments. When we had the prearranged shots, he was serenely calm with everyone too.

If we could give six stars we would! Jamie Ellis is not only an incredibly talented photographer, he is also a lovely guy whose attention to detail is second to none. We got married very quickly (16 weeks from start to finish) due to the deterioration of my mother's dementia and from the start Jamie made us feel comfortable (we are not lovers of having our picture taken), he was sensitive to our situation and his pictures have captured moments we will cherish for a life time. Above all of this, the way Jamie chatted to my mum, and helped her when she became distressed was truly beautiful to see and he went above and beyond to get the best possible pictures. Jamie was there from 9.30am to around 10.30pm and he didn't stop. When we were all preoccupied enjoying the most special day of our lives, Jamie was off looking around the grounds for the perfect photo opportunities, places with the best lighting and specific areas of the grounds which could produce some astonishingly beautiful pictures. We would recommend Jamie without a second thought and we hope to see his name nominated for many photography awards in the future. We are so grateful for everything Jamie Ellis! Thank you!

Where to start...Jamie is AMAZING! We chose Jamie as he photographed my sisters wedding the year prior and his photography simply speaks for itself. His photography style aims to capture those candid moments which make for amazing memories to look back on. Alongside his amazing photography Jamie is also an amazing person. He makes a significant effort to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera, we did an engagement shoot with Jamie which made us feel very relaxed and less anxious about having lots of photos taken of us on the wedding day. Jamie is also just so organised and ensured we where happy and got everything we wanted from our wedding photography and was always so quick in replying to any questions we had.

We chose Jamie as our photographer August 2024 and we couldn’t have chosen a better person to capture our day.

From start to finish, Jamie didn’t stop! We were both quite apprehensive about being in front of the camera but Jamie did a fab job at putting us as ease and making us feel comfortable. He was even kind enough to video the ceremony and speeches on the day when I found out my grandparents couldn’t make it.

Jamie worked endlessly all day and carried on late into the evening reception, to the point where we had to tell him he should go home! He was so dedicated to making sure he captured all the best moments of the day and did an amazing job.

When we received the photos we were blown away at how beautiful they are. Both the natural and formal shots are amazing and it is going to be difficult choosing which photos to put in our album as there are so many stunning pictures. We would definitely recommend Jamie for anyone looking for a photographer next year.

All we can say is how amazing Jamie was throughout the whole process. From the first time we met with him to discuss the wedding, we knew he was the right one for us. Not being the most comfortable behind the camera, he immediately put us at ease when we discussed what we wanted from the day.

When it came to communication, he made everything so straight forward and stress free, which is exactly what we needed in amongst all of the other wedding stress.

We had an engagement shoot with Jamie and despite the wind and rain, put his all into getting to know us and really helped us enjoy something way out of our comfort zone. Once we received the engagement photos, we knew that we had nothing to worry about with the wedding - they were in the moment and natural, just as we had asked.

Where do I start? Jamie was our knight in shining armour. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we found ourselves without a photographer three weeks out from our wedding. On the off chance, I gave Jamie a call having seen his stunning work online. The fates shone and he had our date free. From that moment on, Jamie did absolutely everything to put our minds at ease and ensure that all we were feeling ahead of the day was excitement.

From the outset, Jamie showed not just a willingness, but a clear desire to give us the time we needed to go over everything ahead of the day. This was all done through gentle suggestions rather than being told we had to do anything. I’d also like to mention that in these early discussions, Jamie suggested a visit to a location immediately after our ceremony for a couples shoot that for the rest of our lives will be one of the fondest and most precious memories from the day. This was entirely down to his ambition and drive to deliver something exceptional.
On the day itself, there is no other way to describe Jamie than a machine. He was absolutely relentless. He worked in a way that was barely noticeable in moments, but was also there to guide and instruct in the moment where we needed that too. No matter what logistical challenge presented itself on the day, and for us that also even included some summer rain, Jamie was adaptable and able to produce moments of magic from situations that should have been issues.

There were times in the day where my Wife and I flagged, and in those moments, Jamie’s calm presence and patience kept us going. He was so appreciative of the emotional roller coaster that is a wedding day, and so personable with us both, which just put us completely at ease at every stage.

Finding Jamie was so nearly not meant to be for us, but my goodness are we glad we did. Jamie got our images back to us within 5 weeks of the wedding taking place, despite the fact that we were a last minute booking. The softness, warmth, and pure emotion in Jamie’s shots delver everything about your day you’ll treasure forever. Jamie is so much more than a photographer. He is a wonderful person, and a capturer of the most precious of moments that will tell the story of your day.

Jamie was without a doubt the best decision we made. Made us feel at ease from the initial chat and the pre-wedding shoot was a great idea for us to get comfortable in front of a camera.
