For 9 years now I have worked primarily as a tree surgeon in the arboricutural industry, with photography giving me a much needed break from the high risk stresses of the more vertical world I usually inhabit. This unique contrasting lifestyle means that I have developed a cool head in stressful situations that has served me a great deal in shooting weddings.
So far I have worked primarily as an assistant second photographer, taking photos for people much more experienced than myself and honing my positioning, timing and scheduling, but after shooting my first wedding in June 2026 I can't wait to meet even more fantastic couples and do things my own way.
My goal as a photographer is to be front and centre when you need me and to melt into the background when you don't, meaning paradoxically the less you see of me, the better the final photos!
The day my wife and I were married was the third best day of my life, behind the birth of my two children and I aim to bring the same joy to your wedding as my photographers did to mine.
Trusting a stranger with documenting one of the most important days of your life is a very daunting prospect, so please don't hesitate to reach out, I would love to sit down for an in person meet, a video chat or even a phone call. I also offer complimentary pre-wedding couples shoots so we can get to know each other before the big day.
