Wedding photography that feels like you
If you're looking for wedding photography that's natural, relaxed and a little less formal, you're in the right place.
I'm Gavin, a wedding photographer based in Morecambe, covering Lancashire, Cumbria, Cheshire, the Lake District, the wider North West and weddings further afield.
My approach is simple: I want you to enjoy your wedding, not spend it posing for photographs.
I'll be there to capture the big moments, the little moments and all the stuff that happens in between – the laughter, the nerves, the tears, the ridiculous dance moves and the moments you probably didn't even realise were happening.
I do take some more traditional and posed photographs when you want them – particularly family and group shots – but I don't believe your wedding day should feel like a photo shoot. For most of the day I'll be quietly blending in with your guests, watching for those genuine moments and capturing them as they happen.
It's your wedding, your way
Every couple is different, so I don't work from a rigid formula.
Before your wedding I'll take the time to find out what's important to you, what you want from your photographs and, just as importantly, what you don't want. Whether you want lots of candid photographs, a handful of family groups, some time alone for a few portraits, or a mixture of everything, I'll tailor the day around you.
And if you're worried about feeling awkward in front of the camera, don't be. Most people aren't models and most couples tell me they're not particularly comfortable having their photograph taken. That's absolutely fine – I'll guide you when needed and leave you alone when that's the better option.

8 hours photography, hi-res jpegs to share and download in a private online gallery and on a USB. Slideshow of the day
How far in advance should I contact you?
Ideally around 6–12 months before your wedding, although it's always worth asking if your date is closer. Occasionally I have availability at shorter notice
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
No
Can you travel?
Yes, morecambe and regularly photograph weddings throughout Lancashire, Cumbria, the Lake District, Cheshire, Greater Manchester and the wider North West. I'm also happy to travel further afield
What is the charge for travelling?
There's no travel charge within 30 miles of Lancaster (LA1). For locations further afield, there may be a small supplement depending on the distance

Fantastic wedding photographer
We booked Gavin for our wedding at Foxtail Barns in May 2024 and were incredibly impressed with his service. We booked him nearly 2 years in advance but he was happy to take our booking and answer initial questions that we had which was really helpful. Gavin was extremely responsive in the weeks leading up to the wedding, including meeting in person ahead of the big day to align on what was important to us on the day and overall plan for the day. This really set our minds at ease that it was all in capable hands.
Gavin provided a selection of print outs to us on the actual day of the wedding during the wedding breakfast - we were incredibly impressed with this and loved seeing some initial photos! We also received preview photos the day after the wedding - again we were incredibly impressed with the speed these were turned round and also the photos provided. On the actual day Gavin wasn't intrusive at all - infact we were surprised at some of the pictures he managed to get as we didn't spot him taking a lot of them!
Gavin shared our final photos with us c.4 weeks after the wedding and we are blown away by the photos. He captured our day brilliantly and we were able to relive it going through all the photos.
We also had our dog at the wedding and Gavin captured some fantastic photos of him having listened to us saying how important this was to us.

The BEST photographer EVER!!
Gavin was absolutely fabulous from start to finish. Throughout the day he made us feel so at ease when taking pictures, I forgot he was there!
We got a preview of some pictures the next day and when they all came through not long after, they were better than we ever imagined.

Brilliant service
Gavin and his colleague Dave are extremely professional, but made everyone feel relaxed and at ease, and with two photographers we got a lovely mixture of candid and posed photos. On the day itself, Gavin printed some photos for us so we had hardcopies, and only a few days later he sent over 50 edited shots so we had something to look at before our honeymoon. And finally, he delivered all 800 photos in just 4 weeks! Looking at the photos is such a joy and takes us back to the day. He took lots of photos of the bride and groom (of course), but also tonnes of our family and friends, and our adorable ring bearer... our dog! We would highly recommend Gavin for any wedding, large or small.

Everything I dreamed of
My husband and I were married on the 2nd of July at Wennington Hall. Gavin came highly recommended by a friend of his who I worked with at the time, I emailed him and got a very quick response. After going back and forth with photographers I found on Instagram we had prepared ourselves to fork out at least 3k-4k, however after speaking to Gavin we couldn’t believe the service he was offering for a fraction of the cost. A full day, with 2 photographers for a little over 1k.
And they were absolutely exceptional- the photographs are not only amazing, they’re edited perfectly, the guys were friendly, the second photographer even busting out some card tricks later in the day. We struck gold with Gavin and can’t thank him enough. A very underrated photographer indeed and a pleasure to have met and hosted on our special day.

Great photographer!
We are really happy with all the photos Gavin and his colleague took! Both were very friendly and professional. We don’t take posey photos very often so expressed early on that we liked his natural style with a few slightly posed family photos etc, and he was more than happy to do exactly that for us! Even filmed a couple of extra video clips for us which was so kind! The preview photos came the day after the wedding, and the rest less than a month later, so we couldn’t fault the quick time! Couldn’t recommend him enough, thank you again!

Excellent value, professional and accommodating photographers
Gavin was excellent and attentive throughout the whole journey. Communication was thorough and easy, and we were offered a very flexible package which was brilliant value for money. He accommodated to our needs and requests without question, making the whole experience feel personal and stress free. On the day, Gavin and his partner did all that we asked and were very polished and professional, utilising different angles and trying a variety of different shots to make us happy. They really did do their best and managed to get fantastic candid shots of the guests at the evening reception. For the hectic posed group shots, both photographers were calm and patient and made sure we had everything we wanted, even ensuring we had a group photo by shooting from a first floor window! They were very flexible with their approach and adapted well to all situations. We would highly recommend them to anyone!

Captured our wedding perfectly at Browsholme Hall
Gavin and Dave were amazing from start to finish and we absolutely love all our pictures. It captured our perfect day from start to finish. From being there in the morning with us- we hardly even noticed, to our pictures just the 2 of us- the weather wasn't on our side but we still managed to get out in-between. They made us feel relaxed and at ease. Thanks again would definitely recommend!

Utterly amazing
Gavin was amazing from the start, I like to pose and be centre stage whereas my husband hates his picture being taken. Gavin was perfect with us both.

Amazing photos
Gavin was amazing - really professional and got all the best shots. We wanted a more candid style and he definitely delivered. The photos were edited and ready for viewing in a great time frame and we even got a personalised usb with case with them on as well.

Probably our all round favourite supplier for our wedding..
We married at Browsholme Tithebarn in April 2025 and in the lead up to our wedding, Gavin was responsive and he suggested that we meet him at the venue to have a walk round to look at photo opportunities a month or so before our wedding. Gavin knew his stuff and made us feel like we could trust him to do a great job. He also brought a portfolio of his work for us to browse through which we thought was a nice touch.
On the day, Gavin and Dave were professional and got the photos we wanted without being too intrusive or “in your face”. Us as a group (consisting of the bride, groom, bridesmaids and groomsmen) were a bit rowdy and silly, but Gavin and Dave were able to round us up and get some fab shots!
A day or so after our wedding, we received a link to a preview of photos which we were very happy with. Then around 1 month after the wedding, we received a link to all of our photos. We were overwhelmed with the amount we received and how many precious moments they had captured! They also kindly agreed to film our ceremony as they are considering branching out into videography - the video is of high quality and we also very happy with this! The video was added to a USB stick that came in a lovely, personalised box which we were very thankful for - we were not expecting that!
We feel like Gavin and Dave went above and beyond for us. Their pricing is very reasonable and excellent value for money. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone!

Brilliant Photographer.
Gavin photographed our wedding at Ashton Memorial in April 2025. Gavin had good knowledge of the venue so he was able to get some brilliant shots without us having to stress about it. We had around 20 minutes of posed photos & then he just melted into the background & also got some brilliant candid shots. We were presently surprised to receive some print out pictures on the actual day of the wedding & we received some previews the next day. We received all of our pictures within around 4 weeks & we were extremely happy with them all. Communication was also great. I would definitely recommend.

Our wedding day
Gavin was our photographer for our wedding and we are more than happy with the outcome of the photos , we had all sorts of shots and gavin and partner captured photos we would never dreamed of getting but fell in love with . From start to finish it was an amazing day and we now have memories to look back on forever thanks to him ! Super happy x

Exceptional!
Gavin was amazing throughout the whole process. Communication was clear from the offset and he was amazing on the day. He made sure everyone was relaxed and effortlessly captured all of our special moments from getting ready to the evening reception. Gavin and Dave went above and beyond to make sure they got all of the perfect shots and even created a video of a special moment from the day - nothing was too much trouble.
We can’t believe how many photos were taken and we are made up with them all. Gavin even sends out a personalised USB. I would not hesitate to book Gavin again for any special moments wanting to be captured.
