West Coast Photos is a wedding photography company based in Lochgilphead, Scotland. Owner Gavin Brown has been photographing life’s most precious moments for more than a decade. He is passionate about his craft, and he is always looking for opportunities to develop and hone his skills. Gavin believes that your special day deserves nothing less than the very best, and he can’t wait to meet you and discuss what he can do for you.

What does the wedding package include?

There are a few options but full package will capture everything from bridal prep right through to the dancing in the evening (around 12 hours coverage)

How far in advance should I contact you?

Basically as soon as you know the date and venue. These will likely be the trigger to start to tick off the to-do list. I am usually happy to quote up to 2 or 3 years in advance

Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

No

Can you travel?

Yes, scotland UK Europe International

What is the charge for travelling?

It very much depends on where I am being asked to go :-) If it is within a couple of hours travel I won't normally charge anything extra

What kind of technology do you use?

Digital

Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach?

Although the high percentage of the day will be shot in a documentary style (with the very slightest amount of input/guidance from me) I do like to do some off camera flash work later in the day

What kind of equipment do you use?

I shoot Canon with a mix of Canon and Sigma glass. My favourites on the day are 35mm and 85mm prime lenses

Do you offer any tool to display the photos online?

What's the delivery time for a photographic report?

Do you send all the photos taken?

Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?

Alone

Relaxed but on point

Gavin provided an excellent service. We immediately liked his vibe and loved his documentary/candid style. My husband and I are not camera friendly. He made us feel at ease enough to capture some beautiful shots. He works expertly round the day always somehow knowing exactly where to be without getting in the way. We also had a videographer but there was no crowding. They worked so well in tandem without having previously met. Gavin was so easy to chat to and understood what was important to us.

I really can’t recommend West Coast Photos highly enough.

Beautiful photos

We were lucky enough to have Gavin to take our wedding pictures in August 2021. Not only were the pictures beautiful, but Gavin was lovely too! He sent a sample of the photos later on, on the same day! Would highly recommend.

McEachran Wedding

Excellent service highly reccomend ??

Me and my partner got married in August last year. Gavin was highly recommended to us by a friend of my sisters. He covered everything from bridal preparations through to reception. Took loads of fantastic shots throughout the day. Very friendly and helpful, was all very relaxed, and family enjoyed getting all pics taking. Photos were amazing and sent out to us in good time. Also great prices. Would highly reccomend for anyone getting married. X

Brilliant Photographer, a must have for your special day

We booked West Coast photos for our wedding in August 2017. We could not be happier with the service Gavin provided. We had pictures from bride and groom perpetration through to our dance and it was such great day! Gavin made the whole experience brilliant, made everyone comfortable and was fun to have with us on our special day!! Our guests and bridal party were singing Gavin’s praises :)

The photos captured were spectacular, Gavin really has a great eye for a brilliant shot. We got a sneak peek of pictures the very next day which was a lovely touch and we received our photos very quickly. And the quality of the photos are amazing.

I would highly recommend west coast photos for a wedding, defiantly deserves more than 5 starts :)
