With over 20 years of experience supporting children and families on NHS childrens wards, Debbie brings a unique blend of clinical care,emotional insight and play expertise to every event. As a qualified NNEB Nursery Nurse, holding an NVQ Level 4 in play specialism and a Dip.HE in child counselling, she understands how children respond to changes in routine and environment-and how to help them feel safe,settled and happy through the theraputic use of play.
Before launching her wedding nanny service, Debbie worked as a kensington nanny,supporting families with high standards of care and discretion. She is also trained in Guided Imagery, a relaxation technique she uses not only to calm little ones but also to help soothe stressed-out brides in the lead up to the ceremony- because Big Days can create Big feelings!
The Essex Wedding Nanny is fully insured with enhanced DBS clearance, first Aid and paediatric life support certified. Giving couples complete peace of mind.

I am a highly experienced childcare proffessional, as well as mum of two and a proud grandmother.
Caring for children has always been at the heart of what I do and I bring a calm,nurturing and reliable approach to every family I suppot.
I am NNEB qualified, enhanced DBS checked and have many years of experience working with children in a variety of settings, including hospitals,schools,nurseries and as both a live- in and live-out nanny.This has given me the confidence to care for children of all ages and needs.
I love creating a fun and engaging environment for children, particulary through singing, creative play and crafts. I truly believe that when children are well cared for,stimulated and happy, it allows everyone-especially parents -to relax and enjoy special occasions.

Meet Debbie-The Essex Wedding Nanny
I am the founder of The Essex Wedding Nanny with over 30 years experience working with children and families. My career has taken me accross a wide range of settings,including working as a live-in nanny in kensington for high-net-worth families, as well as roles in nurseries and paediatric care.
I have had the privilege of working within some of Londons leading hospitals, including Great Ormond Street, UCLH, The Royal Brompton and The Royal London, and i currently work as a play specialist at Broomfield Hospital. Alongside this I am a qualified volunteer child therapist and a student psychotherapist, which allows me to support children not only practically but emotionally too.
I specialise in helping children feel calm,safe and secure, particularly in busy or overwhelming environments such as weddings. My approach is always child-led, compassionate and empathetic,while still gently maintaining routines and appropriate boundaries to ensure children feel settled and supported.
Amanda and I are collegues at Broomfield hospital as well as wedding nannies. We are fully insured with enhanced DBS checks and trained in safegaurding and first aid to give parents complete peace of mind.
I feel incredibly privileged to play a part in such a special day for brides and grooms, ensuring children are happy and cared for so that parents can truly relax and enjoy the day.
