Hi lovely people,
I’m Kaz - the DJ, music producer, sound engineer, event organiser and the person behind The Wedding Gambit DJ.
Orriginally born in Bulgaria, I am now a proud naturalised British citizen. Something I am extremely proud of! I love all things British and of course music for me is a big one. Britain is simply the mother of modern music for me and as you can imagine I have a huge and varied taste in music because of that.
Music has been part of my life for many years. My background spans DJing, music production, sound engineering and organising events, so when I look at a wedding, I don’t just think about which songs to play. I think about the sound, the atmosphere, the timing, the transitions and how all those little moments come together to create one unforgettable night. And of course all the planning that is involved beforehand.
My favourite part of a wedding is that moment when the formalities are over, everyone relaxes, the dance floor fills and you can see different generations celebrating together. There’s something genuinely special about watching a song bring a whole room together.
Why do I love weddings?
Because no two are ever the same. Every couple has their own story, their own music and their own idea of what an amazing night feels like. I love getting to know that story and turning it into something people can actually experience on the dance floor.
I’m naturally very involved in the planning process. I want you to feel comfortable contacting me, asking questions, changing your mind about a song or simply talking through an idea. By the time your wedding arrives, I don’t want to feel like a stranger who has just turned up with some speakers - I want to feel like a familiar face you already know you can rely on.
And when the night finally arrives, my job is simple - you enjoy your wedding, and I take care of the music.
Fun fact - I’m a music producer as well as a DJ, so I’m slightly obsessed with how songs fit together - beats, melodies, vocals and unexpected combinations. Creating those little musical moments that make people look at each other and go “I love this!” is one of my favourite parts of DJing.
My favourite wedding moment - That point in the evening when the dance floor suddenly comes alive and you realise everyone - friends, parents, grandparents and the couple themselves are all sharing the same moment. it's like you can hear a pin drop. It feels like an Eureka moment for me everytime! In simple terms, I live for that moment!
