About

Bassline DJs are professional wedding DJs providing high-quality, tailored entertainment for weddings across Nottingham, Derby, the Midlands and throughout the UK.

With years of experience behind the decks, Bassline DJs specialise in weddings where the music actually matters. Rather than relying on a standard wedding playlist, every event is approached individually, taking into account the couple's tastes, their guests and the atmosphere they want to create.

From relaxed early-evening music through to a packed dance floor later in the night, the aim is simple: play the right music at the right time and keep the celebration flowing naturally.

Bassline DJs cover a huge range of music including:

  • 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s classics
  • Disco, funk and soul
  • House, dance and club classics
  • R&B, hip hop and UK garage
  • Indie, rock and alternative
  • Current chart and party favourites
  • Bespoke requests and more specialist music tastes

Couples are encouraged to have as much or as little input into the music as they like. Some provide detailed playlists, others simply give a few favourite artists, genres and definite do not plays. Both approaches are absolutely fine.

The focus is on reading the room rather than constantly talking over it. Announcements are handled clearly and professionally when required, but Bassline DJs are not interested in turning somebody else's wedding into a radio show.

Professional sound and lighting equipment is used throughout, with setups available to suit everything from smaller intimate venues to larger wedding receptions. Additional options can also include enhanced lighting and DJ & Sax performances for couples looking for something a little different.

Behind the scenes, Bassline DJs take the less glamorous parts just as seriously. Equipment is professionally maintained, appropriate insurance and PAT testing are in place and plenty of attention is given to timings, access and coordination with the venue before the wedding.

Most importantly, the approach is friendly, straightforward and flexible.

No cheesy routines. No one-size-fits-all playlist. Just a properly planned wedding party with great music and a dance floor people actually want to stay on.
