We had the pleasure of Sophie working with us for our first wedding dance 2 years ago and can't recommend her highly enough.
We had tried another teacher first and after a couple lessons realised it wasn't going to work. Neither of us have dance experience and both had alot going on with work and wedding planning. We were going to give up but decided to try another teacher as we wanted the perfect dance to be a part of our perfect day, and thats exactly what soph delivered.
From the first meeting she put us at ease and helped with every step, from choosing the right song, to managing the length of the dance based on the time we had, and of course the choreography, she was amazing.
She is brilliant at what she does and is a lovely person as well, nothing was to much trouble, so much so that we invited her and her husband Daniel to the wedding so she could see us in action, and she even gave us a last minute lesson, at the wedding, so we could practice in our wedding clothes, she went above and beyond and deserves all the success in the world.

We hired Sophie to design a first dance for us for our wedding as we just didn’t want to do the awkward shuffle. Sophie is just fabulous we are so pleased we decided to do it! Sophie is so easy to work with and went at our pace the whole way through. We had heaps of fun at our sessions we laughed a lot! Even as novices we were able to learn a full dance to our favourite song to wow our friends and family and it went down an absolute storm. Thanks sooooo much Sophie xx

Teaching us a great dance for our wedding wasn't easy as we were complete novices. Sophie gave straightforward instructions from start to finish and supported us on our journey through 121's, online sessions and reviews of our practice videos. It paid off. Choosing “Nothing Else Matters” by Metallica for our first dance was always going to be tricky to dance to—it’s not your typical wedding song, but as soon as we told Sophie, her eyes lit up to the challenge!

And boy did she rise to it!

She came back with the most stunning choreography and even though the song was challenging, Sophie guided us with patience, passion, and precision—helping us both navigate our 2 left feet!

To make things even trickier, we decided to add a fun element at the end to include family members and decided to do ‘Thriller’. Once again, Sophie took us through it step by step, but what impressed us most was how she helped us move beyond just learning the steps, coaching us not to just dance the piece, but to perform it and have fun!

It was unforgettable, our guests were absolutely blown away, and so were we.

Sophie’s passion and enthusiasm for dance shines through with her creativity, would highly recommend.

My husband and I, asked Sophie to choreograph our first dance for our wedding.
I am not ashamed to say that both of us have no dance experience and as for me I am hopeless with any sort of hand eye coordination.
Sophie worked with the song that we had chosen and asked what we wanted from the dance.
She came up with the most beautiful dance, that allowed us to be pushed to achieve what we wanted and more than we ever realised we could do.
She spent hours making sure it was exactly how it should be making any tweaks we wanted, always tailoring it to us.
Sophie inspired confidence in both of us so that when it came down to it we knew where we both had to be and forgot anyone else was watching. It couldn’t have been any more perfect.
So many of ours guests commented on how wonderful it was and even more surprising to the both of us how well we did.

When people ask what the best gift we received for our wedding is, I always say to them, ‘the gift of our first dance!’. As two people with limited dancing experience, poor co-ordination but an ambitious vision for a first dance, Sophie had her work cut out! However, we ended up with a beautiful, heartfelt, personal, elegant and impressive first dance, choreographed and brought to life by the impeccable Sophie.

What I loved most was that she didn’t care about showing off or taking the plaudits, her entire focus was on making sure that we had the perfect dance for our special day and that nothing else mattered apart from us as a couple. If we wanted the dance be more complex, Sophie incorporated it effortlessly; if we wanted it to be simpler, Sophie made it happen and made the transition simple. She was clearly very experienced in all types of dance and it showed with the variety of moves we learned.
