I honestly cant thank Aston and the Singing Surprise team enough! They we’re absolutely incredible. we booked the team for our pre wedding night entertainment, singing surprise, band/saxophone surprise and DJ set and they were just fantastic! In the build up to wedding, aston was repsonsive, very caring towards our requests and made the process so smooth and easy. We even had a pre wedding zoom call — No stress at all!!! so many lovely comments from guests to say singing surprise BROUGHT THE PARTY! Incredible INCREDIBLE talent and just lovely people too. Highly recommend.

We booked Singing Surprises for our twilight wedding, and we loved the idea of having a singing waiter as a surprise for our guests. The entertainment itself was good, and it was a fun concept that added something different to our wedding celebrations.
Unfortunately, the music was far too loud for the size of the room, which did take away from the experience. The volume upset our daughter, and several of our guests commented and complained about how loud it was. As a bride, this became quite stressful, as the last thing you want on your wedding day is to be worrying about the noise levels and whether your guests are comfortable.
I do feel this is something that should have been assessed beforehand. The size and acoustics of the room should have been taken into consideration, with the sound levels adjusted accordingly. We shouldn't have had to reach a point where guests were complaining and our daughter was upset before anything was done.
It wasn't until the final two songs that I managed to speak to the singer myself and ask him to turn the volume down. Thankfully, it was much more manageable after that, but I do feel this should have been addressed much earlier, rather than leaving me, as the bride, to deal with it during our wedding celebrations.
We appreciate that the aim was to create an exciting atmosphere and get everyone involved, and the entertainment itself was enjoyable. However, the volume really did affect what should have been a relaxed and happy part of our special day.
Our feedback is simply that the sound levels need to be tailored to the venue and the guests. A little more consideration and a proper sound check beforehand would have made a real difference and allowed us to enjoy the entertainment without the unnecessary stress.
We wanted to share our honest experience because the concept is great, and with better attention to volume control, we feel it could have been a much more positive experience for everyone.

Surprise singing waiter was absolutely fantastic.
I sent a message via Hitched initially and went on to book with Aston Dobson.
He kept in contact via email and sent me all information I needed.
I let him know that I wanted it to be kept as a secret as I wanted it to be a surprise for my now husband and guests and he was very discreet with the whole process and even contacted the venue to arrange with them for the surprise waiter to mingle with the other waiters to make everything look more realistic.
On our big day during our wedding breakfast, after the starter and main meal and speeches had taken place, there was a loud crashing noise as a waiter fell right in front of the top table with a tray full of cutlery. That got everyone’s attention as we all jumped wondering what just happened, even I jumped as it caught me off guard. The waiter jumped to his feet and apologised to everyone for the incident, he then turned with a microphone in his hand, started the music and proceeded to sing.
Everyone looked astounded and started to laugh.
He got the whole room up on their feet singing and dancing from the children to adults, even my 83 year old mum was up on the chairs singing and dancing. Everybody was having the time of their lives.
I can’t thank our singing waiter enough for the professionalism and amazing performance, his voice and vocals and performance was absolutely amazing and he really made our wedding perfect with life long memories.
I would 100% recommend if you want to take your special occasion to another level, words cannot express how excellent singing surprise waiter is.

We hired him to be our singing waiter during the day and to stay and sing at our evening party, and he was absolutely fantastic! His vocals are next-level amazing, and we have had so many guests come up to us since the wedding to talk about how good he was. He completely blew everyone away and knew just how to get the whole room laughing, singing along, and up on their feet. If you are thinking about booking him for your wedding or event, do not hesitate—he made our day so fun and memorable!

We booked the singing surprise for our wedding, with the performer disguised as a police officer because my husband is a police officer. We were a little nervous beforehand about how it would go down, but we honestly didn’t need to worry!

It was one of the highlights of the day. The reveal was brilliant, everyone was completely fooled, and once the singing started the atmosphere was incredible. Our guests absolutely loved it and it’s something people are still talking about.

The performance was fantastic, so much fun and really got everyone involved. It was the perfect way to surprise our guests and create a memorable moment that we’ll never forget. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking to add something unique and entertaining to their wedding!

My god I can’t even put into words how much this made our entire wedding! The vibes were immaculate and Astons voice is breathtaking, he had all our guests up living their best lifes and me and my HUSBAND couldn’t be more grateful, best money I’ve ever spent! I would pay it 10 times over!!

A massive thank you to Arif who was our ‘singing surprise’ waiter on Saturday at Wickham Estate for the wedding of Kate & Alex. Aston was fantastic. The catering team said he worked harder than some of their own staff fielding questions on gluten free canapés and how to work the coffee machine 😂 when he fell and burst into song the guest was so shocked and surprised it was brilliant.

Aston is the most amazing singer and knew how to get everyone up and dancing 💃 🕺 🪩 the choice of songs were multigenerational crowd pleasers and it accelerated everyone into the party spirit

Neil and Leona were amazing at our wedding a few weeks ago. Their act went down a treat and our guests loved it, and it led perfectly into our evening reception, giving everyone a wonderful surprise after desert. We were all up and dancing! Lots of our friends and family have said how entertaining they both were, and how kind they were throughout the day. The singing surprise team were amazing from booking through to our wedding day and we are so pleased we had this excellent entertainment! Would highly recommend!

We booked Aston last year for our wedding this passed weekend. From start to finish Aston has been amazing. He answered all questions by phone and email promptly and eased any worries!
He worked closely with our venue to co-ordinate arrival, set up and the perfect time to spring his surprise - and what a surprise it was for our guests. We had Aston as a pizza delivery driver which we had given him a guest who we thought would have a good reaction and it went off perfectly! Everyone believed he was delivering pizza and was truly surprised when he started singing.
We had so many compliments about Aston and how much fun he was. His voice was outstanding and he got every abled guest up singing and dancing! We loved it so much!! Thank you!!
