Live Wedding Painting by Patrick Heisel OBE is an affordable and professional live wedding painter specialising in watercolours available UK wide.
A photograph depicts things as they are in real life, but a painting has the opportunity to capture the moment or heightened feelings of your special day. A live painting by an exceptional artist is also a great way to entertain guests and see the memory of the event unfold on your special day. Not only do you get a keepsake that you can hold onto forever, but it's an experience for you and your guests to enjoy - seeing a moment captured in real-time on paper to cherish forever.
With artistic licence your painting could include pets or other important individuals who may not be able to attend the wedding. Prefered poses by young individuals can also be incorporated into the final peice making the moment simply perfect.
In summary, the watercolour painting is available in two sizes:
- 33 x 49cm (A3) - £549
- 42 x 59.4cm (A2) - £999
This service includes:
- a high quality professional watercolour scene or portrait of your choice with correct likeness using the highest quality materials;
- telephone consultations to ensure your expectations are met;
- up to 7 hours live painting including guest interaction (excluding any set up time);
- additional studio time after the event to perfect the painting before delivery;
- secure and signed delivery to your home address; and
- a glass display in a wooden frame with a cream mount for a professional finish and to immediately display in your home - styles include white, black, oak or rustic.

Patrick did an absolutely lovely job painting (honestly I loved the painting halfway done before he finishing touches) but he was also extremely lovely and easy to work with. He also was a delight for our family and friends to interact with as they admired his work and even contributed to the painting. When reviewing options I thought Patrick’s work was well beyond the skill set of the other options but didn’t consider ease of communication. Only after being in wedding planning lead up and on the day did I fully appreciate how lovely and stress free Patrick made things.

Exceeded all our expectations and more
On the day itself, Patrick seamlessly blended in with our guests, painting with a passion that was inspiring to watch. The final piece was even more stunning than we imagined, with every little detail captured beautifully. One of the most lovely touches was that he included our beloved cat, who couldn’t be at the venue with us. It made the painting feel like our whole family was there.
After the wedding, he took the painting back to his studio to add even more details, like subtle silhouettes of our friends, which kept us as the main focus. Then, as soon as we returned from our honeymoon, he had the painting delivered perfectly to our door. Now it hangs proudly in our hall, and every time we pass by it, we’re reminded of that incredible day with all our loved ones and our vows.
We’re so grateful to Patrick for creating something so special. His talent and commitment to his work truly blew us away.

Meet the team
Patrick Heisel OBE, is a London based professional artist with over a decade of experience in ink and watercolour. Much of his knowledge and skills were taught through mentoring by accomplished artists and training courses by the masters in watercolour painting.
Patrick's main interests are landscape, architecture, military, police and wedding scenes. His use of loose ink, shadows, texture and perspective makes his work truly unique.
The aim of his paintings is to reveal the natural beauty of a landscape, character of a building or joy and emotion of a wedding scene that the observer would not otherwise see.
Early on in his life, he served as a police officer in Metropolitan Police Service and commissioned staff officer in the Army Cadet Force.
He has competed as a wildcard contestant for Sky Arts 'Landscape Artist of the Year' television show and has taken part in many plein air events. He also donates his paintings for charity auctions and other good causes.
Patrick was awarded his OBE in 2013 for services to policing and education.
