I am fully qualified with the Academy of Professional Celebrants. I am an independent celebrant based in Caerphilly, offering bespoke ceremonies that honour life’s most meaningful moments, from joyful unions to tender farewells.

After many years serving as a dedicated Civil Servant, I have made the meaningful transition into becoming a wedding and funeral celebrant, a path that brings together my lifelong passion for storytelling, my commitment to human connection, and my deep respect for life’s most significant moments.

Throughout my career, I have always been drawn to the personal stories that shape us - the love, the loss, the resilience, and the joy. I have had the privilege of creating safe, supportive spaces for colleagues to share their experiences, particularly around overcoming adversity and embracing life’s challenges. These wellbeing sessions became more than just conversations; they became powerful reminders of the strength of the human spirit and the importance of being heard.

With a background in writing and a natural ability to craft meaningful, personalised narratives, I bring care, warmth, and authenticity to every ceremony. Whether celebrating a union or honouring a life, I strive to ensure each service reflects the unique story of the individuals involved — with dignity, compassion, and a touch of heart.

My path into celebrancy was born from a deep curiosity and a quiet calling: to help people mark life’s transitions with authenticity, compassion, and grace. I craft ceremonies that reflect the heart of each person’s journey.

What is a celebrant-led wedding?

A celebrant-led wedding is a fully personalised ceremony designed to reflect you. Unlike a registrar or religious service, it isn’t restricted by legal wording or tradition. You choose the style, tone, words, readings, music, rituals, time, and location.

Is the ceremony legally binding?

In the UK, a celebrant ceremony isn’t legally binding. Most couples complete the legal paperwork separately at a register office (a simple, short appointment) and then celebrate their wedding day with a personalised ceremony led by me.

My role

Our journey begins with a relaxed chat, by phone or in person, where we explore your vision, location, theme, and any questions you may have. There is no obligation, just an open space to connect and dream.

If you feel comfortable and excited to move forward, your date will be secured once the booking form, contract, and 30% deposit are completed.

Together, we’ll delve into your love story, your ideas, and the elements that matter most to you. I’ll craft a bespoke ceremony script that’s heartfelt, humorous, romantic, and unmistakably you.

You’re welcome to include personal vows, symbolic rituals, readings, or poems, perhaps shared by a loved one. This is your ceremony, and every detail is shaped by your choices.

On the day, I’ll deliver your ceremony with care, warmth, and professionalism, holding space for joy, emotion, and celebration.

We will work together to discuss the ceremony and discuss the time frame to include initial chat → booking → planning meeting → drafts → rehearsal → ceremony.
