Simply perfect.
She came to see us a few months out, drafted the ceremony wording and then let us tailor it to suit ourselves, so it was exactly as we wanted.
Communication was just right in the run up to the day and then Julia was there waiting for us nice and early for the event itself. She spoke with meaning (and humour, which we wanted) and put everyone at ease. The ceremony was delivered perfectly.

Meet the team
I am so lucky to live in a converted chapel by the sea in South Wales, where I have brought up my three wonderful sons. Before stepping into celebrancy seven years ago, I spent 25 years teaching—first leading English departments across local comprehensive schools, and later at an international sixth form. That background gave me a lifelong appreciation for the power of storytelling, language, and meaningful shared moments.
Outside of writing and officiating ceremonies, I spend as much time outdoors as possible: walking my dog along the Welsh coast, reading, traveling (most recently on a motorbike trip across Vietnam), and braving year-round sea dips without a wetsuit.
Every ceremony should feel authentic to the people at its heart. Drawing on my literary background, I can help you source poetry, literature, and readings that resonate with your journey. As an avid live-music lover, I am equally delighted to help you weave in the perfect soundtrack. I look forward to hearing your story and creating something unforgettable together.
