Congratulations on finding that special someone who you want to share your life with! My ceremonies are welcoming, meaningful, inclusive and fun.
I am a fully trained and accredited wedding celebrant with the experience and knowledge to guide you through your choices, to create a special wedding ceremony that is personal and perfect for you.
I deliver ceremonies in Manchester, London, Cheshire, Derbyshire and Northern Ireland. If in doubt, please just ask!
Services Offered
By choosing to have a celebrant led wedding you are open to so many possibilities.
No two couples are the same and no two ceremonies are either, together we will create a ceremony that reflects your personalities, beliefs and values. I will take the time to get to know you and care for you every step of the way. Your ceremony will be designed to celebrate your day the way you wish it to be celebrated.
5% of my fee is donated to the charity Brides do Good, which works to educate girls and and prevent child marriage.

Like being married by a member of the family
She guided us through all the documentation before and after the big day with such clarity and calm, we felt totally supported and never once overwhelmed. It honestly felt like having a super-organised friend holding our hands every step of the way.
The ceremony itself was everything we hoped for and more — warm, personal, and so perfectly us. Karen captured our story beautifully, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better celebrant to lead such a special moment in our lives.
And then came our two-year-old, who decided mid-ceremony was the perfect time for some spontaneous toddler chaos! But Karen handled it like an absolute pro — gracefully, with humour, and without missing a beat. She brought everything back on track so naturally, it ended up being one of our favourite memories from the day.

On the day itself (28th June), Karen delivered the most beautiful, heartfelt ceremony. It was everything we hoped for and more—personal, meaningful, and full of love. We honestly couldn’t have chosen a better person to marry us.
So many of our friends and family came up to us after the ceremony to say how lovely it was and how amazing Karen was—everyone was so touched by her words and presence. It truly was one of the highlights of our day, and we will treasure it forever.

Meet the team
To let you know a little bit about me, in addition to being a celebrant I work as a health visitor in Manchester and prior to this I was a midwife.
My job allows me to meet and build relationships with people from many different backgrounds and cultures. It’s a privilege to be allowed into their lives at such a special time. I love to hear their life-stories and to discover what is important to them and their families.
I am also a creative person. I have a degree in photography and MA in visual culture, and I have worked for Manchester International Festival, Manchester Film Festival, The Bridgewater Hall, Factory International and The Whitworth Gallery....phew!
I have an eye for detail and understand the importance of the presentation of your special day.
I love living in Manchester, and being part of its beating 'northern heart and soul'. I have great working relationships with many interesting and unique venues in the city centre. I'm happy to travel for work, this includes delivering ceremonies in London and Northern Ireland.
Being a wedding celebrant allows me to meet fascinating people and express my creativity by creating a personal ceremony just for them. It really is the perfect job!
I have been trained by Humanists UK, of course this doesn't mean that you have to be a Humanist to book me, but what it does mean is that I have had brilliant training, I'm regularly peer reviewed and I'm fully insured.
All of my images here and on my website are of 'real' weddings which I have delivered, no stock photos here! I'm very lucky to be supported by my partner, Patrick. He's my chauffer, sound engineer, photographer and biggest cheer leader. I'd be lost without him!
