The BEST decision! We had an all vegan wedding and struggled for months to find a vendor that would even respond to me. We found Hogless Roast and were invited to visit them at a local market to try their food for free before we booked. Obviously the food is insanely good so we immediately booked with them. They were super easy to book with and were on board with our weird ideas. Not to mention incredibly friendly people and I didn't have to worry about anything. Majority of our guests weren't vegan and consistently moan about vegan food but they all loved it. The best bit was they boxed up all the portions we paid for that weren't eaten at the end of service so that our guests could take it home. AMAZING!

100% recommend. We got married in late August in South London and could not imagine a better catering experience than The Hogless Roast and their brilliant team. We are vegan and, in the run-up to the wedding, we had lots of grumbles from non-vegan family and friends about the food that we would be serving. Our guests were stunned at the food and could not stop talking about it on the day and in the months after the wedding; they were so shocked that vegan food could taste so good. The website says "life-changing" burgers, and our guests' experience was certainly transformational. Some guests even asked the team for the secret to the famous hogless burger. As the for team - incredible people! Ross was fantastic throughout: an excellent communicator, super organised, and so friendly. The on-the-day set-up was smooth and the team were so friendly. Ross was able to improvise a dish for a guest whose allergies/food needs had not been clear.

Ross and the team at The Hogless Roast catered for our wedding this year, and they were absolutely brilliant from start to finish. The liaison was really smooth and hassle-free, they made things as easy as possible, liaising with the venue for us so we could completely relax about everything, and all we had to do was choose the delicious food. The team were so lovely, and a real pleasure to have as part of our wedding day - very friendly, helpful, and kind to all our guests. The food was absolutely awesome, completely delicious! So many of our guests commented on it, and a lot for whom vegan food was an uttery alien concept stating it was "the best wedding food ever!" Certainly a lot of minds changed about what they could expect from vegan food, which really made us smile as a vegan couple. And when your guests include some retired animal farmers, an entire fire watch, and a mass of people with multiple different food issues - a huge win full stop! Cannot recommend highly enough, the team and the food were total stars. Just wish we could do it every year!

Hogless Roast catered our wedding on Saturday and we could not recommend them enough. When we got engaged we knew we wanted to plan a vegan wedding but that guests may not be used to eating vegan… Hogless was our first thought as we have eaten it many times at festivals and is always extremely popular and tasty! The burgers were just amazing, the sides were delicious and we even had extra food to take home and enjoy after the wedding, despite everyone being stuffed! We had a fair few vegan skeptical guests and Hogless won them over - many commented that it was one of the best burgers they’d had and maybe they’ll think about converting to veganism!! Our bar staff and photographer also commented that the food was some of the best they’d had at a wedding. The evening food (brisket fries) also went down an absolute storm. Ross, Matt and the team were lovely to deal with throughout the wedding planning and on the day. They were also great with gluten free guests and any allergies, and it’s great that the kitchen is entirely nut free.

Everyone had the best time and couldn't stop talking about the burgers and the very very addictive hash browns. A pleasure to talk to via phone, email and in person. Also v good value for money!!

Ross and the hogless team were amazing from the get go. we wanted a fully vegan wedding that would impress even the pickiest of meat eaters and that's exactly what they did.

they had some leftover at the end which they boxed up for us, and it was as delicious cold as it was fresh.

We booked the Hogless Roast for the evening food at our wedding and it went down wonderfully! Considering the vast majority of the guests were meat eaters, we were a little worried they may not like it, but everybody was highly complimentary (with one guest actually asking them what meat he was eating as he liked it so much, having not read the sign that it was vegan!) - the staff were friendly, the booking process was easy, and the portions were great. Don’t hesitate to book!

We wanted a street food feel for our Wedding party and we had previously tried Hogless Roast and when we realised they did events, it was a no brainer! We are not vegan but wanted delicious food that everyone could eat. I defy anyone to try this and still miss the meat! DELICIOUS! The set up was perfect and the service was so nice and friendly. Would HIGHLY recommend!

Ourselves and our wedding guests were absolutely delighted by our addition of surprise, wholly vegan food. Hogless Roast catered for our wedding reception on 30th September 2023 with utmost professionalism, friendliness and expertise. Nutritious and delicious! Our guests are still talking about it. OMG! What can I say? We booked the Hogless Roast for our festival-themed pagan-style wedding in September 2023. Some of our guests were raving before the supplier's arrived, either because they had their food before or because they had been dying to try it for a while...we also had some staunch meat-eaters who are the types not to be convinced by vegan food.
It was a resounding success, people loved it and kept telling us they have had real hog roast before that was not as tasty or enjoyable! Everyone was sold. We are so glad we booked them!
They are easy to deal with, flexible, responsive and just truly seasoned and professional. I never had to worry about them on the build-up! The guys who ran the catering on the day were lovely, friendly and totally relaxed, even though it was the hottest day of the year. Complete pros! If you want street food or an ethical hog roast, no one will be disappointed by these guys!

Wow, where to begin. Honestly the star of our entire wedding was The Hogless Roast. A huge hit with EVERYONE; from meat eaters and pescatarians, to the vegans and beyond! The first time we tried it we knew we’d have to have it at our wedding, and we’re so glad we did! The gluten free guests couldn’t be happier with the amount of choice with all the sides we opted for and GF buns. There was a slight confusion with the serving time and the guys took it in there stride to accommodate us after some of the earlier parts of the day (and traffic) caused some delays. Incredibly grateful for their kindness and professionalism throughout the whole planning process and we can honestly say you won’t regret getting these guys for your big day. Matt & Ross are legends.

Matt and his team were absolutely fantastic from our initial conversation. They were easy super easy to talk to, very transparent in terms of cost and super flexible with arranging service with us as well as our venue. Their food was also excellent, we have hand so many comments from our guests saying that it was the best food they have even been served at a wedding including from a few people who were initially sceptical about the idea of a vegan wedding breakfast. We can't recommended The Hogless Roast highly enough. They were awesome.

We were the first wedding breakfast the Hogless Roast had. They were brilliant and their professionalism and speed was like they'd been doing it for years. We had some members of the wedding party who were sceptical over a fully vegan menu but the amount of people who told us how wonderful the food was and they wished they could go up for seconds was wonderful. They were perfect for our outdoor wedding where we wanted a street food vibe without being too formal.

I would highly recommend if you want something delicious without the formalities of various courses at a formal sit down dinner, the Hogless Roast would be fantastic choice. We highly recommend as they added to making sure our day was as memorable as it was.

We invited Matt & Ross to come to our wedding in Nottingham earlier this year to feed our day and evening guests, as we wanted someone who could cater for all dietary preferences!

The communication with Matt was amazing throughout, even when we were having to change around dates over the pandemic, he did all he could to make sure they could still attend, which was one less stress for us! His experience was invaluable in helping pick the food options and adjusting numbers to make sure we there was no food wasted.

Now for the best part - the wedding day. We opted for the Hogless Roll, mini hash browns, vegan mac ’n’ cheese and homemade ‘slaw. Matt & Ross worked their backsides off for well over 2 hours and provided our guests with the most delicious, fresh Hogless food. Not only that, but they did it with a smile and a relaxed, but professional, manner which let everyone know ‘we got this’.

We would honestly hire them again just for the hash browns, but that’s only the side order! The Hogless Roll really is the main event. We had so many compliments about the food from our guests, from vegans and vegetarians to pescatarians and flexitarians (and even fussy eaters!). It was genuinely one of the first things our guests mention when talking about the wedding day.

In summary, we wouldn’t hesitate to use The Hogless Roast again. They are simply brilliant!

Matt and his team catered our wedding last month and as usual, the food was superb! All of the guests (vegan and non-vegan) tucked in and said it's the best wedding food they'd had! The ice cream from Hackney Gelato was also delicious and helped cool everybody down in the heat!
