The Southcott catering team provided their services for our wedding at Eden Barn in October.

Jenn and Nicole managed the process on the lead up to the wedding, and it was seamless and professional. The tasting session was really enjoyable and we loved tasting and picking our menu. All allergies, including a severe wheat allergy, was considered and treated like it wasn’t an issue at all which was brilliant.

On the day, the only way I can describe them was a ‘well oiled machine’. They were perfectly organised, and we felt like we were guests at our own wedding. Nicole’s support and organisation is really something to be admired. For someone so nice and friendly she really came into her own on the day and was a warm yet commanding MC for us. She was class.

The food and service was exceptional - I’ve never experienced better (anywhere!) They really were a talking point with our guests, and everyone noted how the food was hot regardless of when the food came out. The pizzas in the evening were fab.

Thank you so much for the service, the food, the preparation, time keeping and perfect MCing on the best day of our lives! We couldn’t be more thankful!

We honestly cannot thank Jen, Nicole and the whole team at Southcott enough for everything they did for us in the run up to, and during, our wedding at Eden Barn.

From first meeting the team at Eden Barn, through our tasting session, choosing our menu and working through all the little details, we were made to feel incredibly looked after. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and whenever we had a request or an idea, the team did everything they could to accommodate us.

That continued right through to the wedding day itself. The food was absolutely fantastic and our guests have not stopped talking about it. The canapés were brilliant, the wedding breakfast was exceptional and the evening pizzas went down an absolute treat. We have had so many lovely comments from our guests about how delicious everything was.

But what really stood out to us was the people. So many of our guests commented on how friendly, welcoming and helpful the Southcott team were throughout the day. They were attentive without ever being intrusive, and it genuinely felt like they cared about making our day as special as possible. That is a real testament to Jen and the team.

They even went above and beyond to help us with our slightly less conventional idea for the following morning, when we decided to have Bongo Bingo as part of our post wedding breakfast entertainment! They were incredibly helpful in making it all work and were willing to go the extra mile to help us create exactly the sort of weekend we wanted.

Looking back, it is the little things like that which made such a difference. We never felt like just another wedding booking. We felt listened to, supported and genuinely cared for throughout the whole experience.

Jen, Nicole and the entire Southcott team, thank you. Thank you for the incredible food, the hard work, the flexibility, the laughs and, most importantly, for going above and beyond to make our wedding day everything we hoped it would be.

We feel incredibly lucky that our wedding at Eden Barn was catered by such a fantastic team. From the very first meeting right through to the last pizza, you made the whole experience so easy, enjoyable and personal.

Jen and Nicole were great from start to finish, they were so informative, professional and helpful all the way through planning and organising our wedding food. The tasting session was lovely and welcoming, and on the wedding day we had so many people come up to us and tell us how good the food was. We had the southcott team cater for our wedding day on 06.09.2025. All our guests commented on how AMAZING the food was. Particularly how hot all the food was served considering there was 112 guests they said they've never had such good, hot food at a wedding in all their lives.

Nicole who was the master of ceremonies was brilliant. So organised, her attention to detail and her precision was commented on by guests and they couldn't believe how she just knew exactly who was having what to eat.

The Southcott team were amazing! The food was out of this world and went down a treat with our guests. We chose the Cumbrian feasting board and it was a real conversation starter between the tables, served amazingly, the waiters/waitresses were very knowledgeable and always on hand to help if you needed them.

Wow! The food and service from Southcotts Catering I cannot recommend enough. We knew as soon as we went for the wedding tasting that we were in for a treat. Everything about the food was incredible, tasty, and we received raving reviews from all our guests. The particular favourite was the famous sticky toffee pudding. Jen, Luke and the team were so professional, helpful and were on hand to ensure the day ran as smooth as possible. We could not recommend them enough

Our experience with Southcott Events Catering was fantastic, from our first venue meeting, to the lovely food tasting morning at their kitchens and right through to our wedding day. Jen is so friendly and organised and helped us with the timings of our day as well as the food. She really made us feel like everything was under control and it helped us feel a lot more relaxed, especially on the wedding day itself, as she made sure everything ran smoothly for us so that we didn’t have to worry. The food was amazing and catered for all diets, and dishes were adapted to cater for one severe nut allergy, whilst still allowing us to have our perfect menu. The service was impeccable and our guests loved the wedding breakfast. SEC without a doubt serve the best sticky toffee pudding we’ve ever had (we’ve had a lot!) The starter and main options on their menu are really inventive, as are the intricate canapés (the mini sausages, mini bruschettas and mini shepherds pies went down a treat!) We can’t recommend Jen and Luke enough!

We can't thank Jen and the team enough for making our day so special. The food was always a big priority for our wedding day and Southcott did not disappoint as the food was outstanding. Our guests have all commented on how nice the food was. It wasn't just the food that made us choose Southcott, it was the whole package. We had spoken to a few caterers and Jen really stood out as actually genuinely caring about ensuring our day was perfect. Rather than just replying to my email Jen arranged a call and listened to what we wished for and then made sure it happened. Jen was always quick to respond to any of our queries and gave us so many ideas and suggestions. Southcott really did remove a lot of the stress and worry from the planning. When it came to the big day we had the most perfect day thanks to the team taking care of everything, the day was perfect as we really didn't have to worry about a thing. From the very first discusion with Jen, we knew we were in capable hands. Jen, Luke and their team were amazing. Jen was so organised and helped us plan out our day and guided us expertly through the process. Luke's food is delicious, everyone has commented on how great the food was. We are both vegetarian so wanted the veggie option to be good, and it was more than we could have hoped for - even the meat eaters said how delicious the mushroom burgers in the evening were. The whole Southcott team were great, very professional yet friendly. They even made sure we got canapes and evening food (It's really easy to forget to eat when you're having so much fun!). We couldn't recommend them enough, they were a huge part in helping us have a great day, just what you need on your special day.
