Do not use for a wedding, professionalism, organisation and service was very poor!
Do not recommend at all! My wedding was on the 28th May 25. The food was decent but the service was absolutely appalling. Our initial meeting with Christian was lovely during our tasting and then we were handled by Emma. We had most of our important meetings via call and she was tasked with noting everything down and communicating this with the chef, Christian. We created plans for the day, spoke about what drinks were served for the welcome, for the canapés and during the dinner. We highlighted every corner of the day for them and yet it was still a disaster on the day. They agreed to do certain things and on the day it seemed Emma had not relayed this to Christian. They served all our drinks during the welcome and canapés section leaving almost nothing for the main meal section; used our toasting drinks during the canapés which included our reserve wine for our top table, refused to give the service team their meals even though we paid for them to have 2, we arranged to have our canapés saved for us as we were taking our pictures during the time but they were thrown away in stead, they left all the drinks outside of the room because they didn’t want to put them on the table. We are agreed with Emma that these would go on there after the photographer took pictures of the room and all the guests would do was ask them to replenish the bottle once one finished, but the staff they hired seemed to know nothing and I had to sort this out as well because they got upset they needed to do this. We didn’t ask them to serve, just to replenish to bottle as planned. When it came to turning the room around they said they could do it in the time needed and had us pay for extra staff, my husband caught some sitting and talking with a broom in their hands whilst we were all waiting for ages, to the point our groomsmen stepped in and helped clear the room. Then there was a problem with cutting my cake when I had asked Emma to relay that I would want this done, including the amount of cakes I had. If it was an issue, the professional thing to do would be to let our coordinator know and express this, not deliver worst service when this was already pre planned. Cake boxes also got thrown away somehow. A lot happened.
The worst part is, they either threw away or took my wedding decorations! The food and drinks situation caused stress and anxiety on the day but this is something that’s very upsetting. I’ve asked my venue and searched and those responsible is the catering team as they cleared down the centre tables. Personal photos and stands and name tags which I made are all missing, plus a camera. I asked them about this and they stopped communication when I highlighted all the issues we faced on the day. I’m truly upset that their service is so staggeringly poor and that I’ve lost personal effects most of all when they are the ones who were in charge of putting it all in a safe space.
I wouldn’t use them unless you’re willing for this to happen. They may be good for very small events but they claimed they did weddings (ours ended up with less than planned at 102 people) and even the bar staff at our venue was shocked by the way they treated people on the day. They came with their own front of house person who was very rude and even told my photographer to get a plate off one of the tables when she waiting around for ages to be fed. Christian also didn’t seem in a good mood on the day when I attempted to say hello in the morning. I’m not sure what happened but the service was disgusting and loosing items makes it worst and them not even responding to what I’ve highlighted makes it more shocking.

Chez Lopez On-Site Catering – A Wedding Meal to Remember
We were thrilled to have Chez Lopez cater our wedding, and they truly exceeded our expectations! Despite cooking from their van, they offered an impressive menu with three starter options, three mains, and two desserts, giving our guests plenty of choice.
The food itself was absolutely fantastic. Each starter was full of flavor and beautifully plated, while the main courses catered to various tastes and dietary preferences. The desserts were the perfect sweet finish to an incredible meal.
What really stood out was their attentiveness to guests with allergies and dietary restrictions. Chez Lopez made sure that everyone with special requirements had options they could enjoy, and they took great care in ensuring the food was safe and satisfying for all.
Even though they were cooking from a van, the team was organized and efficient, serving the meal smoothly and professionally. Our guests are still raving about the food, and it really added a special touch to our wedding day.
We couldn't have asked for a better catering experience and would wholeheartedly recommend Chez Lopez to anyone looking for excellent food and top-notch service at their event.
