Marples Cakery offers a range of services that couples can tailor to their needs. They can create everything from wedding cakes and celebration cakes to postal brownies and cookie bars, macarons, traybakes, and so much more. They offer an initial consultation to understand the client's needs and are available throughout the process for any input or queries customers may have. The team provides tasting prior to booking and offers delivery and setup so couples can relax and enjoy their wedding journey. They also offer a range of dietary options including egg-wise, dairy-wise, gluten-wise, and vegan-wise.
They also offer a wedding tasting service over zoom, where you can both try a selection of cupcake flavours (12 cupcakes of 6 different flavours) and discuss design ideas - this is £30 per couple.

I had the absolute pleasure of having Alice cater at my wedding with all her gorgeous cakes & bakes! From the very start Alice was a dream to work with to create my vision for what I wanted for my special day and she made it come true!
Alice helped me go through every little detail for my wedding cake and dessert table, she was so professional & friendly throughout the whole journey. Going above and beyond with all the help and guidance and understanding me which was just so comforting. I really knee how reliable she was going to be on the day and that gave me so much comfort and ease for trusting her. My dessert table and wedding cake came out better than I could ever imagen it to look and it got eaten withing minutes of me opening it to all my guests which truly goes to show how incredible her creations are.
They all tasted so gorgeous and was just brilliant how diverse her menu is for all the options of what you can have. Every single one tasted absolute delicious and even my guests keep telling me now how lovely it all was!
I am so grateful & blessed to have had Alice cater my wedding and couldn't recommend her enough for how amazing she is and her beautiful bakes!
We will be using Alice again for future events!

Beautiful Wedding Cake!
I have used Alice for bakes several times in the past and have always been incredibly impressed. I am very pleased to say that our wedding cake was no exception! She created us a three tier wedding cake, which was decorated beautifully and perfectly fitted the theme of our day. Each layer was beautifully moist, wonderfully flavoured, and went down excellently with our guests! The cupcakes to try in advance really helped us to decide the flavours and we have no regrets over our choices! Alice is always super friendly and quick to respond to queries. It's always a pleasure to find someone so passionate about what they do and we can't wait to order more bakes in the future! Jack & Daisy ❤️

The best baker 🤍
We chose Alice to create our wedding cakes and she did a fantastic job! All communication was fast and very clear, our tasters were super generous and delicious, and on the day - WOW! We chose cupcakes and a cutting cake which looked incredible we couldn’t have been happier. We had so many compliments on how beautiful they looked and tasted. I would recommend Alice 100%!

Everything I could have asked for!
Alice truly outdid herself with our wedding cake! The lotus biscoff tier and raspberry and lemon tier were not only visually stunning, but the flavors were absolutely divine. And the crowning glory - the tower of Kinder brownies - was a genius touch that our guests loved. The cake was a showstopper and a delicious highlight of our special day. Alice was easy to work with, responsive to our needs, and delivered a cake that exceeded our expectations in every way. If you're looking for a talented and creative cake designer who can bring your wedding vision to life, look no further than Alice!

Absolutely Perfect!
We can’t recommend Marples Cakery enough! We had a 3 tier cake with different flavours for each tier and I can’t fault anything. The flavours were incredible, the cake was just perfect. The communication was great throughout, all questions were answered quickly. All of our guests loved the cake and I will definitely be using Marples Cakery again for any future celebrations. Thank you so much for creating the wedding cake we dreamed of!

Absolutely perfect...
We couldn't recommend Alice enough. She created the most wonderful wedding cake and cupcakes for us. We had a two tier cake with strawberry & champagne, and lemon flavours and salted caramal and carrot cupcakes - all of which were 'gluten wise'. They all looked and tasted amazing, no-one could even tell they were gluten free. They were exactly what we were hoping for and more. Alice is so lovely, so helpful on the lead up and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much x

Alice's Cakes were fantastic as ever
We've been working with Alice for a few years now (mostly milestone birthday cakes, and they've always been delicious), and so asking her to do the cakes for our wedding was an easy decision, and she delivered on every level.
She helped us with the selection of the flavours, and provided top quality cakes for us to taste early on. As you can see from the pictures, we opted for a cutting cake and cupcakes for guests, and everybody we spoke to about them said they were delicious. We had dietary requirements for some guests (vegan and gluten appropriate), and Alice made sure that the cakes provided for those guests were of equal quality so that nobody felt left out.
We'll continue to use Alice for any other special cakes we want making in the future, and are delighted that she was able to provide such wonderful cakes for our special day. Thanks Alice!

Incredible
Alice was amazing at every stage, I cannot recommend her highly enough. Not only did our main cake look and taste incredible, but we also requested a tray-bake without egg or milk, and she somehow made it so people could not taste the difference!
