Mel's Makeup Art is a mobile wedding beauty business based in Esher, Surrey, helping couples throughout the surrounding area. Before specialising in wedding services, owner Melissa worked as a beauty therapist in Australia, providing clients with a variety of relaxing, rejuvenating services. With her calm demeanour, years of experience, and multiple qualifications, she will work to make sure that you and your wedding party have a pampering experience as you prepare for the ceremony.

Services Offered

Mel's Makeup Art specialises in soft glam aesthetics and will work to give you a romantic, timeless look that shows off your natural beauty. Using the wide range of skills she obtained throughout the years, Melissa will work to tailor each service to make sure your unique preferences and needs are met. Her onsite services will ensure that you and your entourage can prepare for the altar in the comfort of your home, hotel, or get-ready suite. In addition, Melissa will happily stay with you until your photoshoot if need be.

What is the charge for travelling?

I can travel within a 15 mile radius of Esher (Surrey) free of charge. After that, the charge is 50p per mile. Travel into Central London is charged at £35

Yes

How many people can you beautify for one wedding?

It depends on each brides needs, I can cater for larger bridal parties and have a network of talented bridal artist should the need arise for additional help

The best soft-glam hair and makeup artist

Mel is quite simply fantastic. Everything was flawless and hassle-free from first contact to trial to big day. Nothing is too much, she's 100% responsive to any feedback and is such a delight to be around that on the morning of the wedding I felt calmer than I had been in a very long time! I was blown away by the finished looks we all had (hair and makeup for me and two bridesmaids and mum's hair) and felt so confident walking into the day. Mel gave me a touch-up kit to ensure that I kept the look but it was so well applied I didn't need to use it once, no mean feat considering it all kicked off at midday and we went til midnight!

If you are looking for a makeup artist who listens, knows their craft, can absolutely nail the soft-glam look and is fun to be around look no further, Mel is the one you want!

What an incredible makeup artist 😍

I cannot recommend Mel enough. We had an unfortunate incident the day before my mum's wedding day. Mel really supported us on the day and was so calm and compassionate. She took her time and was also flexible on the day. Considering thee circumstances and how everyone was Mel really remained calm and collective. I felt absolutely stunning, Mel did exactly what I wanted and more. Thank you soooo much Mel. I'll see you at my wedding 💍😍

Helped me feel my most beautiful ever!

Working with Mel was a delight from start to finish. She is lovely to work with. Mel was flexible about scheduling the tester session, going as far as offering her lovely home as the venue. I'm not a big make-up wearer and I was quite nervous. Mel made me feel at ease from the very beginning. She is clearly knowledgeable in her field, very open to adjustment and most of all talented. Our hair and make-up was beautiful and I've never felt so beautiful in my entire life. Thank you Mel!

Bridal hair and make up

Mel was amazing from start to finish.
On my trial date, I was so nervous as its so out of my comfort zone, but Mel put me at ease and I was so happy with the results!
On the day of the wedding, the nerves were really kicking in. Mel just chatted away to me and made me forget what was going on, she was a life saver!
Everything lasted all day (through many tears!) and I felt beautiful.
I would highly recommend Mel, she was the loveliest and so knowledgeable and professional.

Amazing make up for wedding

Melissa did an amazing job doing my makeup for a wedding. I asked for my eyes to pop and she made that happen along with lovely lip colour and I loved the bronzer. She used lovely colours that really complimented me. She listens to what you want and is very friendly and knowledgeable. Would use again.

Above and beyond

Mel and her colleague done my hair and make up for.my wedding, it was a very emotional day as my Mother fell seriously ill so I was very emotional.
They both made a very chaotic morning a whole lot easier they were kind, understand and beyond helpful! I really do not think I could have got through the morning without them, they both went above and beyond!!
I would highly recommend them.

Wedding Make up and Hair

What can I say

Mel was fabulous

I had two trials as she ends up doing my hair and makeup and it was perfect

She uses great make up, and I am now obsessed with make up by Mario palette

I sent her the hair style I wanted which she then did in the trial and it was exactly as I imagined

I would 100% recommend Mel, nothing was to much trouble

Friendly, responsive, professional

I booked Mel to do my make (soft glam style) and hairstyle for my wedding day. I throughly recommend Mel, she did a fantastic job and made me feel at ease on the day!! Nothing was too much and she really worked with me to achieve my desired style. My mum also had a great experience and loved her make up and hair style!! We had a great experience on the morning of my wedding, which I will always remember!! Thank you Mel!!

Glam on Point - Stunning Makeup!

Mel exceeded all my expectations and left me in awe of her incredible skills. On a day that was both nerve-wracking and exhilarating, she effortlessly made me feel at ease and comfortable. I requested a ‘soft glam’ look and ‘oh boy’ did I look and feel glamorous! My makeup rocked all day and night, even during the scorching heat. I felt confident and beautiful the whole time! Mel’s expertise and skills were truly magical, and the transformation she achieved was nothing short of extraordinary. I cannot thank Mel enough for making me feel like the most stunning bride.
