Hi, I'm Polly, a professional bridal makeup artist based in Windermere, in the heart of the Lake District, and the founder of Makeup by Polly.

For me, great bridal makeup isn't about transforming you into somebody else. It's about making you feel like the very best version of yourself — polished, confident, glowing and completely comfortable in your own skin.

I've been a professional makeup artist for over 11 years and have worked with more than 1,000 wedding clients, alongside my work in television and media. I'm also incredibly proud to have won numerous awards for my bridal work.

As Makeup by Polly has grown, so has my team. I now work alongside a small group of incredibly talented, experienced professional makeup artists, each personally chosen by me for their skill, attention to detail and lovely, friendly approach.

I oversee all bookings and am always on hand to help with any questions, so you'll have my support throughout the planning process.

From intimate Lake District elopements to larger bridal parties, we can accommodate weddings of all sizes.

Your Bridal Trial

Bridal trials usually take place around 2–3 months before your wedding and are a lovely opportunity to explore your ideas, get to know your makeup artist and find a look that feels completely right for you.

You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what you want — that's what the trial is for!

Trials aren't compulsory, and some brides prefer to put their trust in us and create their look on the wedding morning instead.

Whichever you choose, we'll listen, offer guidance where needed and make sure your makeup feels completely right for you.
