Sophie Louise Artistry is the bridal hair and makeup business of professional artist and educator Sophie Louise, based in the Lake District and working throughout Cumbria, the North West and beyond.
With over six years of professional artistry experience and almost five years lecturing in Specialist and Media Makeup Techniques, Sophie brings together technical expertise, creative artistry and a deeply personalised approach to every bride she works with.
Her signature bridal style is soft, polished and naturally refined — designed to enhance rather than transform, so that every bride still looks and feels herself completely.
Artistry with an educator's eye
Sophie's teaching background has given her an in-depth understanding of facial structure, colour, texture, skin preparation, balance and product performance, alongside a strong understanding of how makeup translates through photography and changing light.
But technical knowledge is only part of the experience. Sophie takes the time to understand each bride — her features, personal style, dress, surroundings and, most importantly, how she wants to feel on her wedding day.

Wedding make up
The trial was a great way to work out what I wanted make up wise for my wedding day. She listened to my ideas and with her expertise and experience we created a gorgeous natural elevated look.
Sophie was so relaxed and helpful on the wedding morning. She is great to chat to and made the whole process chilled yet fun. She did not pressure me at all in my timings and completely went with the flow of the morning. She is so adaptable, so friendly and of course talented. I would definitely recommend Sophie!
