Karen did a wonderful job with the hair and make-up for both my mum and me on my wedding day. I was so pleased with how everything turned out. I felt like myself, and my hair and make-up stayed in place all day (and night!). Karen has a lovely, calming personality, which made the whole morning feel relaxed and enjoyable.

From the moment I booked Karen for my wedding hair & makeup, she made me feel completely at ease. I’d been quite anxious about putting my trust in someone else, following a disastrous experience at the Charlotte Tilbury counter.
We were not able to have a makeup trial beforehand, because i live in Oxfordshire and Karen was based in Scotland. However, we did have a video call, and she took the time to listen, understand my concerns and reassure me, which was what i really needed.
By the time we finished our call, Karen gave me the confidence i would be in safe hands. Her years of experience shone through and she even advised me what i should do in the weeks leading up to the big day to prepare my skin.
On the day itself, I genuinely couldn’t have been happier. Karen brought absolutely everything with her, to ensure she had the full range of options to give me the look i wanted. She talked to me throughout the session, asking lots of questions to ensure we were both on the same page with the final look. But even better, she also seemed to instinctively understand exactly what would suit me and created a look that felt effortlessly beautiful. I felt amazing, and my makeup looked absolutely stunning from morning right through to the evening, lasting beautifully all day.

Karen is not only incredibly talented, but also warm, calming, and wonderfully professional. She made me feel beautiful, confident, and completely relaxed.

A five star review is the easiest thing to give Karen, who was honestly one of the highlights of my whole wedding experience. She absolutely nailed my makeup and hair - I wanted it to be very natural and effortless, which she achieved easily. She is clearly very experienced and knows exactly what she’s doing - I felt like I was in very safe hands. The trial was also a great experience, very chilled and a nice break from wedding prep chaos. She was so flexible with my bridal party on the day, from our flower girl to my bridesmaid to my mother in law, all who had very different needs/visions. She also did a fantastic job of calming me down when things started getting extremely chaotic around me… I don’t know what I would’ve done without her.

Karen was such a lovely person to work with. She was kind, warm and genuine and made the whole process of wedding make up (which I was a bit apprehensive about after some dodgy bridesmaid make up in the past) really smooth. I had so many compliments on how natural my make up looked - worlds apart from how it’s felt in the past. I particularly liked her flexibility in changing a few things on the day itself , she handled that calmly and I really loved how my make up came out as a result.
I have really fine hair which I am always self conscious about , and usually hairdressers don’t really know how to handle, but she made it look soo much better than it’s ever looked before and I felt really confident with it. It was just what I was hoping for.
She also made my sister and mum feel really comfortable which resulted in such a nice calm atmosphere on the day.
Definitely pick Karen if you want subtle classic make up that doesn’t feel caked on, and accentuates your natural features.

My husband and I have awaited our wedding ceremony for many years after the wedding date needing to be moved multiple times due to a variety of reasons. 7 years and 2 kids later, we finally were able to make our dream wedding happen. Needless to say, we wanted everyone to enjoy this occasion and feel special and honored, especially since many guests were traveling from abroad. Karen went above and beyond to make sure that all who were getting their makeup and hair done would feel and look their best on the wedding day. She gave us all tips on what to do to be sure our skin and hair would be ready and well moisturized, she picked out lipsticks that matched our skin tone and would go with our specific dress colors, and was very attentive to the type of look we each wanted. As the bride, I felt absolutely stunning and she truly made me look exactly how I dreamed to look for my special day. I am so grateful for her care and attention to detail. She is a good listener and a true artist, providing space and time to play and explore different options to be sure everyone feels like royalty. I highly recommend Karen. She is a lovely woman and a highly professional artist.

I couldn’t have been happier with my wedding hair and makeup and also the makeup for my Bridesmaids by Karen – everything turned out perfect. From the very beginning, Karen really listened to my brief and took the time to understand exactly the look I was going for.


On the day, she created a hairstyle for me which was elegant, and it lasted beautifully and securely (important with naturally curly hair!) throughout the entire celebration. She also did the makeup for my mum and bridesmaids, who all looked stunning and were so pleased with the results. Karen also introduced me to a fantastic hairdresser for my mum and bridesmaids.

Everyone’s look came together so beautifully, and it all felt cohesive while still suiting each person individually.

Karen was an absolute dream to work with from start to finish. She had very different briefs from each of us, and she nailed every single one. My two bridesmaids wanted heavier glam, I wanted very natural and my Mum wanted a modern but natural look.

I booked Karen to do makeup for myself and my wedding party. She was incredible to work with and supported me through the entire planning process. She went above and beyond to get products that fit my makeup and skin needs and was receptive to my ideas. She is also incredibly culturally aware and made sure to get a range of colors for my multicultural bridal party. Additionally, she did a wonderful job coordinating with my hair vendor and brought in another hair and makeup artist to support me on my wedding day as my bridal party was quite large. I believe her prices are fair for the level of service and professionalism provided. I highly recommend booking Karen for your wedding.

She stepped in at the very last minute when my previous makeup artist cancelled, and was kindly able to squeeze me, my mum and one of my bridesmaids in for an early morning session before dashing off to another wedding.
