Beauty, Hair & Make Up in Colchester

I flew to the UK for a friend’s wedding at Braxted Park and thankfully was able to make a hair appointment with Yvonne. She arrived promptly at 8am at our Airbnb on the wedding day. Yvonne gave me great advice on how my hair should look based on the two dresses I planned to wear for the day/night. I had lots of compliments from the other guests and I honestly can’t thank Yvonne enough for it. I highly recommend Yvonne for anyone who has an upcoming special event, even a date night. You’ll definitely love it.

I think Alina is magic, she really did make me look like the best possible me. Alina is a lovely person, really taking the time to get the look just right, and it is so worth it. She did make-up for me, my sister, mother, and sister-in-law on my wedding day, and made sure each of us felt and looked amazing.

I can’t say enough good things about Amy for my wedding hair! From the start, she was incredibly warm, attentive, and thoughtful. Booking her alongside Make Up By Sophie was the perfect combo that made my wedding morning so enjoyable. During the trial, Amy really took the time to listen to my ideas and nailed the look I wanted. She made sure to note any changes for the big day and remembered every detail perfectly. On the morning of the wedding, she worked her magic on me and the rest of the bridal party, and we all looked amazing! One of my favorite moments was when she helped put my veil in—it just made everything feel so special. If you’re looking for someone to make your hair dreams come true, Amy is the way to go!

Sophie was incredible and the sweetest, loveliest person to have with us on the morning of the wedding. From the moment she arrived she brought such calm and positivity to the room. She instantly understood everyone’s style and made all of my girls and me feel like absolute princesses. Every single person said how beautiful they felt and the makeup lasted perfectly all day and night. Sophie is so talented, professional and kind, and it truly felt like having another friend there with us. I honestly feel like I hit the jackpot finding her. I want everyone to work with Sophie and experience her talent and warmth to feel absolutely beautiful!! xxx

Carlie was amazing. She made us all feel so relaxed and was so lovely! Seeing the smile on my sisters face when she saw how amazing her make up looked and how confident she felt was really special! And an extra special thanks to her for redoing my sisters makeup after a full wedding day meltdown, and truly saving the day! I can not thank you enough! My make up was incredible and I didn’t have to retouch it once, despite it being one of the hottest days of the year! Highly recommend Carlie as she was fantastic!

Not only did Amy make me look and feel gorgeous on my wedding day - she was a calming force throughout! She has great attention to detail, and took into account all of my (many) requests. My bridal party also looked completely amazing.

Thank you so much, Faye for joining us on our wedding day. Myself and my wedding party loved the make up and it lasted all day. Dayna was absolutely incredible for my wedding day. She immediately put myself and my bridal party at ease and was so professional and responsive in the lead up to the big day. Dayna completely understood the tweaks I wanted to make for the wedding day after my trial appointment (even though I was terrible at explaining it!). My makeup lasted all night and I had compliments from guests well into the early hours. I would go to Dayna again in a heartbeat. If you are looking for a professional, warm and extremely talented makeup artist, then Dayna is for you.

Jess has a very calm energy about her, perfect if you’re after a relaxing wedding morning. She was flexible with us needing to set up in one location on the wedding day and then move across to the main bridal suite part way through. All of the bridesmaids were super pleased with their hair, each of them picking a different style. Jess was reasonably priced within our budget and the trial beforehand meant I was prepared for what would happen on the day.

Imagine it is your best friend who is extremely talented at doing makeup because this is the level of comfortability, ease and joy it was having Hayley be my makeup artist for my wedding. From the moment I met Hayley during my trial, every communication after and then having her on the morning of my wedding glamming myself, my 4 bridesmaids and my mother made my day so special and so calm. There were a few things that people remembered from our wedding and one of them was how my makeup was PERFECT until the last second of the night. I got so many compliments on how amazing the makeup was and how I looked and that was down to Hayley’s magic. My bridesmaids and mother’s makeup also were perfection even with all the tears and emotions throughout the day. It was a hot day of over 25 degrees and a lot of dancing and emotions and my makeup did not budge at all throughout the whole day! I couldn’t recommend Hayley enough. She is not only so incredibly talented, but such a good friendly person and I felt so at ease during the morning with her. She really is a girls girl and will back your corner with anyone trying to interrupt my calm time in the morning of my wedding. As well as being amazing at makeup, Hayley is so knowledgeable and gave me and my bridesmaid amazing tips and advice on our skincare months before the wedding so we could all get our skin to a better state! We’ve all changed up our skin care and makeup on the advice of Hayley and our skin is so much better for it! Thank you Hayley 🤍
