Vanessa Brett is a multi-award-winning millinery designer providing stunning wedding accessories in the form of eye-catching headwear based at The Stables Artists Studios at Hylands Estate, Chelmsford, Essex. Vanessa specialises in both occasion headpieces and hats for everyday wear. She offers ready-made and bespoke options for clients. There is also a small hire option to accommodate the growing desire for a more sustainable and environmentally conscious fashion culture.
Vanessa’s ethos is that she believes we all deserve to be confident and feel beautiful, and, for many of us, getting our outfit just right plays a key part in making us feel amazing. Her passion is all about helping clients to enjoy the anticipation and excitement that a special occasion brings, and giving them the confidence to enjoy the day to the full. Vanessa feels privileged to play a tiny part in any special occasion, and her clients include mothers of the bride and groom, wedding guests (aunties, grannies, family, and friends), and she also offers unique bridal and bridesmaid headpieces.
Consultations are by appointment to ensure that clients have a relaxed and enjoyable experience to choose and design the perfect finishing touch to their outfit. Clients should allow a minimum of five weeks for the creation of their bespoke headpiece. Ideally, getting organised earlier would be best, especially at peak times of the year.
Vanessa is a member of the British Millinery Association and has recently been honoured with the Freedom of the Worshipful Company of Feltmakers, the ancient Livery Company in the City of London related to the millinery industry.
