I would like to say a massive thank you to Alan Hopkinson who posted his speech a good two years before me, from which I have stolen a few verses word for word. I have also used some of his verses and changed them, and used some for inspiration, but the majority is my own writing.

Like many grooms, I was very nervous about how the speech would be received. I wrote it over 3 evenings, staying up late to write some more of the personal bits. We were lucky to have our wedding at Heatherden Hall, Pinewood Studios - and the wedding had a movie theme. We added small touches like popcorn and used films for the table names. Although the speech is very personal to our circumstances, hopefully it will be useful to anyone nervous about their upcoming speech. The speech was very well received and it certainly brought a tear to an eye or two (as well as the bride). Hope you enjoy

I wanted something simple, and didn't want to try to make it too funny, incase it wasn't! It went well, I delivered it better than I thought I would and everyone said it was lovely, so all good :)
